Jerry's Market makes the best sandwich around. You can tell what you are eating. It's not all bread. His meats are fresh and delicious.

"No matter where I go I know where I came from…read more From the Bronx" (Jennifer Lopez) Trivia Time! Q: Name the only New York City borough that's part of the United States mainland? A: The Bronx! Besides Jennifer Lopez, the Bronx may be best known as the birthplace of Hip Hop music, Arthur Avenue Italian bakeries and grocery stores, Yankee Stadium and the NY Yankees. It sure looks like the owners of Oxford's ''The Bronx Deli" are Yankee fans, because their sandwich menu has over 20 choices named after Yankee stars or baseball in general, plus hundreds of NY Yankee photos on their wall. Some of the sandwich names are The Yogi with chicken and eggplant, The Babe with turkey and pepperoni, The O'Neill Deal with ham, sopressata, salami, and provolone, Bern Baby Burn with chicken, hot peppers and mozzarella, and the coolest one -Robbie Cano, Don't Ya Know with Roast Beef, American cheese and red peppers. We wanted to pick up something to have for dinner last night and decided on a Goodfella grinder ($10.99) with Eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, oil and garlic, and a side of tortellini salad with peppers and sun dried tomatoes. The grinder was terrific -a big loaf of perfect Arthur Avenue bread, plenty of fresh eggplant and mozzarella slices, and nice marinated red pepper slices. (Pro Tip - the Goodfella doesn't include marinara sauce -if you want that order an Eggplant Parmesan sandwich). The tortellini salad was very good as well, plenty of pasta and tomatoes in a balsamic dressing. Our grinder and side totalled just $17 -not bad for a dinner for two. We dealt with two employees. The young lady who rang us up was a sweetheart -super nice and much more engaging than the young man who made our sandwich. As a former Bronxite myself, I loved visiting the Bronx Deli and checking out the photos on the wall. My favorite was an autographed picture of Yankee royalty taken at an Old Timers Day -Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra and Casey Stengel. All are Hall of Famers. Go check out the Bronx Deli if you're either a lover of Italian food, a Yankee fan, or both.

Five stars forever for the homerun grinder. It's my favorite hot grinder of all time. That is all.read more

Great breakfast sandwiches. Cheap lunch…read moreFriendly staff Definitely a staple in Seymour

Two guys run this . The older guy is Rocky and I don't know the other guys name. I've been going…read morethere for years and he never attempt a convo etc with me. Every day I go in there and order the same thing. Egg and cheese with pepper and ketchup. If questioned further I make sure there never salt . Health reasons. I've even had conversations with Ricky about salt. Fast forward to Sunday morning. I walk in and order. Same convo . Egg and cheese ? Yes with pepper and ketchup . I sit down on the bench in front of the register by the other guy and pay for my meal. He overcharged me again like always. I never said anything because the food was good and it was already cheap and I just wanted my sandwich so I can leave. This time the guy gets up and goes over by the grill. I look up at their tv monitors and I see him over by the grill. He has never gone over there on any previous business. It looked like he was adding seasoning but I couldn't see it that good. Mine was the C only sandwich in the grill. When it's done Rocky says ketchup salt pepper? I say no. Ketchup and pepper only. No salt . Salt is bad. I get my sandwich and get in my car. I get out on the road and I took a bite. Something different. Took another bite. Salt and an f- ton of it. I knew it was salt as my mouth dried out , I began getting a bad headache. I tossed the sandwich . I couldn't go back due to having to get to work so I called. Rocky answered and denied using salt. I told him that I didn't believe he used salt but I know that I saw the other guy add it to my food and I told him he lost a customer for putting health in jeopardy. I'll never. There again. I would give zero stars if i could for this.

I am absolutely blown away from these low ratings in the reviews, these experiences were not at all…read moreI saw on the other reviews, Im always a die-hard Subway guy but I decided to try something different for a change and get some Jersey Mike's. Upon entering the place I see it was clean and the workers were super friendly and I told them that it was my first time ordering and they gave me a complimentary chocolate chip cookie for being the first ever to be at this Jersey Mike location, I find it really nice that they engage with new customers and make them feel like family. When I went the ambiance of the place was a great and the workers were serving customers, didn't hear any screaming or discomfort coming from anybody not even the customers, only smiles on their faces. Would I potentially go back to this location? Perhaps if I'm down for something different other than Subway because the Beacon Falls one always got my heart. But if you guys are in the Quarry Walk area give this place a try it's worth it especially if you are new customer and you state you are they will welcome you with a great warmth. -AJ

Upon walking in to order sandwiches, we overheard the owner yelling. "WELL, WE GOT RIPPED OFF…read moreAGAIN!" he was right at the front counter and began scolding the two employees as someone had come in and picked up the wrong order. He was angry to the point that you could feel it coming off of him. My daughter and I were both afraid to ask for anything special because he might've Flown off the handle at any moment. He continue to grill the employees on whose fault it was as he made our sandwich. It was then discovered that he was the one who had handed the bag to the wrong customer. Things got pretty quiet after that. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing, and we couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as possible. The food is good, but we've had a few order issues when we've done an online order and picked up food. My daughter has celiac and they gave her the wrong bread on her sandwich when we specifically asked for gluten-free and were charged an additional three dollars for the gluten-free bread. I will say upon our complaining to the store owner about the error on the online order, we did get a refund on that mixup and she did receive a coupon for a free sandwich as well. I do like the sandwiches but feel it's better to go in and order directly to avoid any errors. However, a little afraid of the angry man behind the counter. Not gonna lie.
