I don't know what is so good about this pizza institution. I had three varieties of the pizza and two of the items, chicken and mushrooms, were canned. I didn't mind that it was minced, but there wasn't much else on that pizza. Not much of a sauce and other only point was the cheese blend. I visited at lunch recently. I walked in and no one greeted me and it took several minutes before it seemed that anyone even noticed they had a customer. The waitress did not welcome me and seemed very tired or stressed. I placed my order. They were getting some call in orders but otherwise the restsurant wasn't busy. My food was good but my pizza seemed really greasy. By the time I was ready to get a box and pay a few more customers had come in and my waitress was very hard to get ahold of. Not the best experience and if I ever want food from here again I'll either go to the westside location or call a order on for pickup. read more

I have only had Jerry's pizza once, but I would highly recommend making a trip into Chillicothe to try it. It is a bar, but it has a family atmosphere to it as well. If you are into thin pizza, this is worth a try. This is probably my favorite pizza in southeast Ohio. read more

I asked for double onions just to get double the amount of dried minced onions. Pretty disgusting. Also ordered cheese sticks and marinara sauce. The sauce was in a prepackaged jelly container. Pretty classy huh? Beer in a plastic mug. Ug! I don't see what the locals are raving about here. They need to go to the Mellow Mushroom in Columbus or Mighty Good pizza in Harbor Springs, MI to know what raving pizza is all about. Maybe the stench from the paper mill makes anything taste good after a while. Worst pizza! Save your money and eat at Dominoes if you really want pizza and don't want to travel far from Chillicothe. I think it is in the best interest of all restaurant owners to benchmark from the best. Apparently Jerry's owners haven't ventured out in awhile or they just don't give a rats patute! Asked 15 minutes later & they forgot them & they were burnt offered to drop some more after everybody else was done. 10% off our 14 dollar bill. About a year ago, I ordered a pizza for carry out. When I got to Jerry's, the female behind the counter said "we forgot to put your pizza in the oven", so I waited the extra 30 minutes for them to bake it. Well, tonight we ordered two pizzas. When I got there, the lady told me it would be just a few minutes before they were done. After about 20 minutes of waiting at the bar, she inexplicably walked up to me and said, "it looks like we don't have any record of you ordering any pizzas after all". Couple these two monumental blunders and poor service with a pizza last month that had dough like cardboard (bad batch?), and you have a business that no longer cares about its customers or its survival. Avoid at all costs, unless you like taking a chance on not having your pizza order recorded or placed in the oven. read more

Jerry's is a love or hate kinda place. The crust is VERY thin and reminds me of a homemade Chef Boyardee pizza. The sauce, well there is barely any. The topping are all diced so fine that everything kinda looks the same. It does a have a unique taste to it though, maybe the yeast in the dough? It is priced well. The bar is a very dim lit 70's bar. I don't recommend going in and eating unless your from the area. read more

Jerry's is a Chillicothe institution. A trip to the place will tell you why--the place oozes atmosphere. The jukebox blares Johnny Cash and the beer is served cold and cheap. Anyone wanting a place to get local atmosphere should make a trip to Jerry's. The pizza will never let you down either. They offer a thin crust and just the right amount of grease. It may be sacrilegious to say it, but there are better pizza joints in the city. Hook's immediately comes to mind. Give Jerry's a try went you want an experience, though, and you won't be dissapointed. read more

Cool place if nothing else for the nostalgia factor. I would say people are really being generous with the pizza reviews. My expectations were very low based on the fact the entire 10 block radius around the paper factory that this place sits next to smells like shit. I enjoyed the pizza, it was tasty and certainly better than any national chain but if this is the best pizza you've ever had you need to get out more. The crust is thin but ours was not in anyway crispy, I would describe it as floppy and chewy. They cut the pizza in long strips so it makes it a little difficult to eat especially considering they don't give you any plates, just a stack of paper napkins. The waitress messed up our order but to her credit it was extremely loud as it was karaoke night. Overall probably the best you;re going to find in Chillicothe and worth a visit if you want to feel like you're going back in time. read more

This place outdated, dark, dingy and beautiful! Its located right next to a big paper mill so its got this real blue collar feel. There is nothing like sharing a pitcher of beer and a pizza at this place. A large is actally not that big so order two if you're hungry. This is hands down the best pizza in the area. I grew up eating Jerry's pizza and always try to make it in for a meal when I'm in the area. The pizza is always better if you eat at the restaurant, which is not always convenient..it does make a difference, though. We always get pepperoni, mushroom and banana peppers. Yum! read more

Jerry's pizza is unique. The swiss cheese is part of that, but that is not the only thing that makes this pizza unique. You will have to try it for yourself. I have loved Jerry's pizza since the 1950's. How I miss it since we have been transplanted to Maine. However we have often returned to Ohio to Jerry's pizza. Normally not to bad, tonight the food was slow, appetizer came with the pizza, for the first time ever, the pizza sucked, dough wasn't cooked, soggy and falling apart, service wasn't really great, nobody asked why it wasn't eaten and we were taking it in a box, normally eat and then get another to go. Did notice that some of the employees seemed to be enjoying their club music with a friend on the other side of the bar, almost 45 minutes straight, the business was 75%, 40 plus patrons, not early twenties, would have to say my worst experience here or any where ever.
