They charged $425 per hour for extra guys that did nothing but get in and out of the passenger seat of the tow truck! They refused to negotiate on the tow bill and have a policy of holding your vehicle hostage until you pay their extortion. To top it all off vehicle came back with less fuel than when they took possession. I had always thought that this was a local business that valued their customers, then I used their services.

They said the tow truck company (Twister Towing) would call me when they dropped off my vehicle. As per AAA's membership benefits, my car will be towed within 10 miles for free. Ok, cool. Many hours later, I still hadn't heard from the tow truck company and got their number from AAA to ask the whereabouts of my vehicle. A man answered and said he took my car to his impound lot. This confused me, as I asked for it to be brought to the body shop. So he gives me the address and says he will meet me there. My fiancé and I arrive and see him. As we approach, he walks right past us, gets in his car and drives away. Um, what? K bye. I call him and ask where he's going and he says he has to pick up his kid from school and he will be back in an hour. Dude, you just told me you would meet me at your impound lot! So eventually he returns and demands $100 before I can take my car. Why? I have AAA and owe him nothing, as his impound lot is less than 10 miles from my accident. But wait, it gets better! He also wants this $100 in cash and said I needed to come alone and that my fiancé was not welcome to come with me. Wtf?!?! I call the police and AAA because this is some sketchy bull$&!+. Essentially he stole my car and is now attempting to rob me, and likely other things if he wants me to come ALONE AT NIGHT! The cop does nothing except suggest we pay him, (found out later they were buddies, shocker,) but AAA says that isn't right and sends a second tow truck to take my car to the correct shop and they also dropped him as a company. Do NOT use Twister towing. Shady criminal.

at 95 degrees twister towing from menomonie, wi. was summoned by AAA to change a tire on the…read morefreeway but they decided not to drive 3 miles to help, because AAA pays more for towing. twister towing wasn't even going to tell me or AAA that they wouldn't come out to change the tire for me. the wisconsin state patrol stopped and called twister towing and twister towing told the officer that they were not going to respond. i had to call AAA again & AAA called someone out of eau claire, wi. & they were there is 20 minutes. keep in mind the 95 degree hot sunny day & i was on interstate 94 3 miles from twister towing. i hope AAA took twister towing off their list of towing companies. after i got the tire fixed i drove by twister towing & they had 2 wreckers just sitting idle. twister towing was based out of a private home. thanks for listening to my rant.

Complete Incompetence! Avoid this shop…read more I am from Minnesota and my vehicle broke down in Elk Mound. I had my vehicle towed to Dennis's Auto Services. Big mistake. He had my vehicle from Wednesday, September 16th through end of business on Friday, September 18th, and had no clue what was or is going on with it. He managed to throw a few pieces at it in a attempt to fix it, but no results. He still cannot tell me what the problem is. Any competent mechanic would be able to identify the problem in 2 full business days, and a few hours of another business day. Dennis did not like being questioned as to what the problem of my vehicle was. His response to nearly every question was, "I don't know." I spoke with Dennis multiple times on that Thursday and Friday checking the status of my vehicle, which clearly was not a priority for him or his employees. Dennis could provide me with no timeline as to when my vehicle would be done and he could not, or would not provide me with an estimate (probably because he is so incompetent and had no idea what was going on with me vehicle). I spoke with my local mechanic who advised me to tell him to put the Suburban back together and have it towed to a different shop in town. Unfortunately, this was at the end of the day on Friday. I did so, and for a Intake Gasket, Oil Pressure Sensor and Oil Pressure Filter and NO DIAGNOSIS of the problem, he billed me $356.63. It is now Monday, September 21, 2015, and I will be contacting a different auto repair shop in Menominie to complete the disaster Dennis and is incompetent staff started to pick up my vehicle and fix the same. Stay away from Dennis's Auto Service. This place is a complete joke!
