Staying at Casablanca, we decided to dine here a few times. I can't remember our servers name but he was very nice and accommodating as we were a party of 12. The water was always filled and the food was served quickly. To me the food was ok. I wish it was still the old café that offered Asian Cuisine. In this case it was American food. My family ate their food and for me I was like meh. I ate 2 Fried Shrimp and left the rest. The soup was actually delicious and my grandkids loved the Onion Rings. I have to be honest...I really hated to see the Casa cafe go away...I loved it there, but I knew that it was getting renovated and turned into a different concept. Because we had some food credit, we decided to hit this for a late breakfast or we might have gone somewhere else...I must say I am glad we went here! They put us on a back table and it was a pleasant distance between tables...this I liked, and the new place settings, chairs and tables are a vast improvement. Hub and I decided to split an order of chicken and waffles and a side of sourdough toast. The food came out and it was pretty big...glad we split it. The waffle was just delicious and the syrup it came with is not some cheap syrup, it is very good. The chicken was so good I could not believe it. This had a small side of gravy to dip in that tasted great. The toast was light, toasted nicely and very sour tasting...just really good So if you think things have changed, they have...but this is a really good updated cafe now so please give it a chance!! read more

Took a day trip to Mesquite from Vegas and stopped at the Casa Blanco Hotel. There we found this diner so we decided to try it. Everyone enjoyed their meals except my hubby's bacon was overcooked and he said the ham was not juicy (a bit dry), hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I had the veggie omelet with sourdough toast. This omelet was delicious and the hashbrowns were perfect. The portions were generous so I took half of my meal to go. I ordered a cup of their corn chowder, which was amazing. It's made fresh in-house and it showed. Perfect balance of creaminess and flavor! Our friend ordered the fish and chips which comes with soup or salad. She also chose the corn chowder and agreed with me on how good it was. She loved it so much she made an order of a bowl to go. Her hubby enjoyed an egg breakfast with corned beef hash and hashbrowns with a side of toast. The service was good; the server came by often to refill our coffee cups. The place is well decorated and clean. We will definitely be back...especially for the corn chowder! read more

First time here since the remodel of the Casa Blanca Resort, Nice job on the redo! Staff still needs some help on how to greet customers, friendliness, interaction, cleanup and overall knowledge. Kitchen was quick turnaround, food hot and delicious......The breakfast was wonderful. Over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly, hash browns, sourdough toast, great and the 16oz ham was so good. I wish this place learned from the mistakes of the previous diner. The food is good but the diner is poorly managed. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept all day. Numerous tables were left with dishes from the previous customers . The manager and waitstaff just kept walking by the tables and left them unclean . I didn't see one busboy, so I assume the diner is understaffed which leaves bussing tables to the waiters. There are plenty of tables as well as bar seating available, but only a few tables were clean to dine. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like if they're ok leaving the dining room looking a mess. Even the trash cans were piled up. If the diner gets a good manager to oversee the operations, this place would be a delightful spot . The food is good, The waitstaff are friendly, and the prices are more than reasonable. We loved our breakfast! I was hoping it would be just as good as the previous cafe that was there, Purple Fez Bistro- and it was. There was no wait to be seated when we went at 9:30am on a Sunday. The menu has so many choices. Portions are huge, we definitely could have shared. I had the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs which comes with Hash Browns and Toast. It was delicious, the hash was really good and eggs how I ordered them. My BF had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs and he thought it was ok. He said he has had better breading of the steak. I tasted it and agreed. The breading didn't stick to the meat. Brother In Law had Grandma Millie's Breakfast. It includes 3 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 1 (thick) ham piece, hash browns & toast, Also, choice of biscuit & gravy or hot cakes. He had the hot cakes and he enjoyed it and everything about his food. Everyone is friendly. Our server was friendly. She did forget a couple of things and we had to ask several times for things. Even then it took her longer than it should. The restaurant has lots of windows which is facing the pool area. It's a lot more modern than the previous restaurant was. They have a case of desserts at the entrance with lots of goodies but we didn't try anything this time. Definitely a nice meal. read more

My husband recently dined this restaurant though the food was okay the server Janelle needs to learn how about customer service! I am a retail manager at a 5-star, 5-diamond resort in Las Vegas and I expect my sales associates to respect everyone and treat them as how they want to be treated! We received our drinks after we received our food and we ordered the drinks first. It took three different conversations to get our drink order. When it came time to pay the check she let us know that she would be the cashier as well. No big deal to us so as I proceeded to pay the check she did get to the part about leaving a tip I opted not to leave a tip on the tablet I tapped my card and signed the bill and we noticed whole change in her demeanor and she walked away with an attitude! My husband had left a nice cash tip on the table but because of her attitude he took it back. Don't be so quick to judge! You should rethink how you let your servers conduct business if they expect a tip to be put on the tablet. We prefer to leave cash tips the majority of the times we dine out. We come to Mesquite every couple of months and visit the Casa Blanca to gamble. If this is the kind of service your servers deliver then we will not return and take our business elsewhere! read more

Went on a Saturday. Server was transparent and mentioned he was slow. We didn't mind so we waited. Atmosphere was cool. They have several televisions with sports being played. The food was delicious. The ribs were so tender, they slid off the bone. The green beans had no seasoning, but that was expected so customers can season to their liking. The ice cream waffle was delicious. There was no need for syrup. It was easy to cut with just a fork. No knife was needed. Would recommend if looking for somewhere to eat in the casino. read more

Had lunch today at Jersey Joe's today. I ordered the meatloaf, Bad choice!! The meatloaf was extremely mushy, I don't know how they even cut it, to make it look like slices! My mashed potatoes were cold, but the green beans were very good. The clam chowder wasn't the best either. The restaurant is extremely loud, the 3 of us couldn't hear each other, it was Soo loud. Our server was great, she was very apologetic about my meal. I tipped her because it wasn't her fault that the food was bad. She thanked me. Both of my friends tried a bite of the meatloaf and agreed that it was Awful! I wouldn't recommend patronizing this place and I won't be going back... Even Denny's is a better option, it's also pricey. read more

Last week while staying in Casablanca we dined in this fabulous new restaurant twice. Both times for lunch and both times we had a great experience! The service was very good by Liz & Mary. I ordered my favorite Club sandwich w/ potato salad. It tasted just like when I used to order it from Casa cafe. Hubby had a NY steak w/ rice and green beans. He said his dish was delicious, the steak was tender and well seasoned. We ordered drinks - I had a strawberry mimosa and he had Guava Turnpike. Both delicious drinks. For a dessert we ordered a Canoli and a Key Lime Pie. Our second lunch was our last meal of our trip. We decided to try their Fish & chips. It came with a small cup of soup ( Tomato bisque ) and a tartar sauce. This dish was also delicious. I am glad we shared it because the portion was generous. Overall we enjoyed the atmosphere, good service & food. We'll definitely stop by again when we're in town on our next visit. read more

Carmen is great! Food was really good. It also came out really fast if you're in a hurry.

Decent breakfast with hard working staff members. The restaurant is very hampered by a poor order and checkout system forced on the wait staff. The system is often slow, complicated to use and is often down. The coffee maker has been broken for almost two weeks! The management team seems only to respond to the new owners so the small town and caring feeling is almost gone. So disappointed in the Casa Blanca right now. Hope things turn around soon for the sake of the workers as well as the customers! read more
