Stopped by Cinnamon Café while passing through Mesquite and was pleasantly surprised. Tucked away inside a hotel, it provides a good cafe experience. The menu has a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options. Once in the restaurant, it doesn't feel like you're inside of a hotel. The service was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and our food came pretty quick. The breakfast crêpes were incredible and super fun to eat outside normal French toast and pancakes. My husband and I split a breakfast burrito and it was and more than enough for the both of us, ordering it, wet with avocado was the move! If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot away from the casino crowds, Cinnamon Café is definitely worth a visit. Between the friendly staff and huge portions it was wort the stop. read more

Place is located inside of a hotel. Spacious room in the back, seating was decent booths and tables. Table of 2, traveling over memorial weekend on a Saturday around 1PM, not crowded, few tables full. Took a minute to be sat, was promptly greeted by the waitress. They have a decent size menu, mostly breakfast, but they almost any food you're craving they have, spaghetti, burgers. I ordered the chorizo skillet and the other guest a breakfast burrito. Like a few others have said, food is bland. We ate there traveling back from Vegas. We wanted to try local but you might be better off having something reliable like a chain restaurant throughout Mesquite. Or waiting the 1 hour n half for a spot in Vegas. We have heard nice things about this restaurant, however it was not a pleasant experience for us. Came in about 10:30 AM, pretty empty and only one waitress, Lizeth who was a great server but hard to operate on her own. The meal took FOREVER after ordering. Every item was way over cooked except the toast which was barely toasted. We had the specials of the day, Steak and eggs and Feta and spinach omelette both rated at a 2. We went up to Mesquite to visit a friend and this spot had no wait, so we decided to check it out. There's a reason it wasn't busy, as the staff was nice enough, but the food was "mid" at best. We ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito and it had maybe 8 pieces of steak in the whole thing. Tons of fluffy eggs, mid-level cheese. The green salsa was ok-not good, not bad. I also ordered a Nutella crepe, but it had bananas on it and I missed that in the key, so it was a no. My friend took it home for her kids. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't a good one. read more

I'm adding a new review because the food has gone downhill quite significantly since my first time visiting cinnamon Café about a year and a half ago. I ordered the same thing every time I go, the cheese enchiladas (one with red sauce, one with green sauce). During my most recent experience, the beans (previously my favorite part of this meal) we're absolutely terrible. They tested like what I imagine cardboard taste like, they had a very strange smell and aftertaste. Whatever they used to use to season these was missing, and there was not even any salt. In addition, the enchiladas themselves were quite a bit smaller, and served COLD. The cheese was not melted either on top or inside. I did not get a new photo, so the photo listed below is from my previous experience. I did order these enchiladas on a Friday morning, so it may have been a different cook that normally just makes breakfast. But if the breakfast cook can't make everything on the menu, you should not offer everything on the menu. Absolutely terrible. This used to be our go-to place to take people when they were visiting, but we will not be back. read more

I ordered the meat lovers breakfast skillet with my side option being 2 pancakes. The food was bland, lacked flavor and was extremely overcooked, almost burned. Even with salt, pepper hot sauce and ketchup it was still dry. The pancakes were so tough they were hard to cut and the syrup too was bland. Looking for a breakfast spot in Mesquite aside from casino food. Found Cinnamon Cafe decided to give it a try. Pretty extensive menu really but I had a basic bacon and egg dish. It was good not large but enough. Service was satisfactory not anything special but in no way substandard. The real oddity is the restaurant is located in some sort of vacation resort that reminded be of assisted living facility. I won't say I'd never go back but likely wouldn't be a first choice. Took a family of 9 people to Cinnamon Cafe, one of my favorite restaurants in town for Mother's Day yesterday. Food and service were wonderful. But, they had a duet playing music so loud that we could not enjoy our conversation. It is a somewhat small area to have amplified guitars, harmonica and speakers. It may have been OK if the duet had just used acoustic guitars and no laud speakers for the singer. But, amplified music is not what most of us came for! There was little to no applause or no tips in the jar after each song so that should have been a clue to the musicians. But it felt like they played louder to garner more attention. Ugh! I complained to the staff and they agreed it was too load for what the p,ace was accustomed to. Won't be going back if they have such loud music again. Better yet, no live music is necessary at all. Please, no more loud music that makes family or friends conversation possible. read more

After watching the hot air balloon festival, we had to grab something to eat before we made our way back to Las Vegas! Cinnamon Cafe really hit the spot. I didn't realize the restaurant was inside the hotel! I parked and was a little confused. Walking inside the hotel, it lowkey felt like I was walking through a hospital corridor and wasn't sure if I was at the right place. But upon entering, the place was bustling with people! We got sat down right away and were able to look at the menu. Our server Jackie was so nice and made us feel very welcome! The menu looked very up to date. I ordered the cinnamon French toast and it was literally a cinnamon roll French toasted. It was so good! Also, the syrup came out heated! I've never had warm syrup but it tasted so fresh! The bacon was cooked perfectly and I got my coffee out on time also. The food came out on time as well and we really enjoyed our food overall. Went for dinner last night. Band was lively. Service was horrible. Cinnamon pork chops were about 3/16" think. My wife's enchiladas were too spicy. Very disappointed. Never going back! I've been here twice, the service is terrible. The 3 of us went Saturday and it was early, around 8:15. I only saw one other couple, but the wait after ordering was too long! We had to flag down someone or we were going to leave. Then they brought us breakfast and gave us 2 extra fruit cups.. no coffee refill offered.. no checking on us to see if everything was good & had to ask for the check. Never... ever going back. Great food! My partner and I each got a crepe and split a Huevos Sabrosos. Definitely recommend the blueberry crepes by the way. Sweet and just the right amount of tart. I've heard 4 and 5 stars here in the past so I tried it. The staff were great! The food was not. I've heard great things about this restaurant. My wife was actually are here previously and said it was delicious but unfortunately our experience was today was not. Ribeye and eggs sounded great. The eggs were perfectly soft scrambled but the cut of meat was not eatable. My wife's English muffin for the Benedict wasn't toasted. Me and a couple of the boys are on a road trip to Utah and decided to stop in Mesquite to find a quick bite to eat. Cinnamon Cafe looked like the spot. The food was delicious but the best thing about it was our waitress Liz. Liz was the most nice and welcoming lady who helped take care of us. She made sure everything was taken care of to a "T". Do NOT come here for coffee. Their *cinnamon coffee is disgusting. Unpalatable. I really wanted coffee but couldn't take more than a couple sips. So gross. Definitely a bummer considering their shirts and menus indicate they love coffee.... Must not drink their own. On the other hand I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious my grilled chicken breast was. It was seasoned wonderfully & cooked perfectly. Andy had the chorizo omelette which he said was spectacular but the bacon he got on the side was not good. (Not to mention he had to ask for it more than once; guess that should have been a clue...)
