#13 The Original Italian. Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. Regular, $8.95.
    Daniel B.

I forgot how good Jersey Mike's was. We got a #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak (regular size, $8.65) and a #13 The Original Italian (regular size, $8.95). Both of these sandwiches were delicious and hit the spot. A solid four out of five stars. I liked the Original Italian better than the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak, but both were good. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The Original Italian comes with provolone cheese, ham, prosciuttini (a.k.a. prosciutto), cappacuolo (a.k.a. capicola), salami, and pepperoni. By default, the sandwich is made with white bread, but I customized my order and changed the bread to Rosemary Parmesan Bread (a great choice) for extra herb and cheese flavor. The sandwich comes with onion, lettuce, tomato, red wine vinegar, olive oil "blend," oregano, and salt. The sandwich was fresh, the ingredients were nicely-balanced, and overall, it was super tasty. I recommend it (and get it on the Rosemary Parmesan bread). At regular size, the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak looked underwhelming, but it was actually a dense sandwich that turned out to be more filling than it appeared. When we ordered, Jersey Mike's had eight different kinds of cheesesteaks to choose from on the menu. What makes the "Big Kahuna" cheesesteaks different is they come with mushrooms and jalapenos. Mmm... The Big Kahuna comes in both steak (#56) and chicken (#55) varieties. Our steak version came with grilled onion, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, and "extra" white American cheese. I put "extra" in quotes because the cheese didn't seem extra to me, more like "normal" or perhaps even "not enough." The sandwich was made fresh, packed with plenty of tender, savory, hot-off-the-grill steak, and it was satisfying. I'd order it again and maybe with extra cheese (+$1). We placed our order online at Jersey Mike's website. Here's the link for this location, store #3153: https://www.jerseymikes.com/order/3153/. At the time, this location offered 14 cold subs and the aforementioned eight hot subs (all cheesesteaks). We paid online and our order was ready for pickup in exactly 15 minutes from the time we placed it. Service was speedy and excellent. There were three employees working inside the store during our Wednesday evening visit around 6:15pm. This Jersey Mike's is located at Falconbridge Center at NC 54 and Farrington Road / I-40 (exit 273) on the border of Chapel Hill and Durham. My wife and I like this Jersey Mike's.

    Huge location!

Super friendly employees who take care in preparing the subs yet are still very efficient in getting out the orders. Mine was spot on, fresh, and hit the spot. This location is probably the biggest of the numerous ones I've visited in the Triangle. It's clean, well organized, and overall a laid back environment. I learned corporate is requiring all locations to undergo a makeover. I hope this one doesn't lose any of it's square footage cos it's so roomy, welcoming, and nearby. Now that I've finally visited I want it to be my regular spot.

Soooo good! The sandwich artists were upbeat & happy! They were very professional & kept the line moving at the same time. Clean restaurant highly recommend :) Ordered the roast beef w/ provolone cheese "sub in a tub" Mike's way with extras! :)

I've stopped in twice using coupons that were included in sub orders at the Dean E. Smith Center. Subs were better than I remembered when Jersey Mike's first came to the area. The seating area was clean and the service was efficient. I probably would not have stopped by without a coupon since I generally prefer local restaurants to chains, but all in all this was not a bad experience.

Great, quick place to grab lunch! We arrived on a weekday right before the lunch rush. There were only a few other people in the restaurant. The friendly employees greeted us and immediately took our orders. Since it was my first time at a Jersey Mike's, the employees were patient as I made my decision and explained to me what the 'Mike's way' meant. They have numerous protein, bread, and topping options to choose from. They made our sandwiches quickly and accurately. My wrap was good and packed with chicken salad. I asked for a couple toppings and they put a small amount on, however, I'm sure I could have asked for more. The cookies are amazing, very sweet and chewy. Overall, we had a great lunch and made it back to work on time afterwards!

My gosh, the people of Jersey Mike's on Farrington Rd. Lemme tell ya. They made my day. Not only was I a freaking hangry MESS over the phone, probably annoying the wonderfully patient woman on the other end with my lack of sub-name knowledge, but I went to the wrong location & made them wait like 5ever to pick up my subs & they didn't even bat an eye. Then, I get there & low & behold I thought I was getting stalked by some guy in a car, so I called AGAIN & asked to have my food brought out to me instead & he DID. AND on top of that, he waited & watched for me when the guy got out of his car & approached me. Seriously, had to be the most high-maintenance customer of their day, but I'm so grateful, full, & safe! I hope Matthew sees this, because his sweet-self needs a raise! Love you guys!!!

Good sub spot; quality meats and ingredients. I've only been once and tried one item but I would definitely be back to try some of the hot subs. I got the italian sub and really enjoyed it. I wish they had more toppings to choose from. However, Mike's way really enhanced the sub so I was overall satisfied. I prefer my subs toasted but they did not offer and I did not ask so I do not know if that is an option. The employees were nice, service was quick, my order was correct, and the place was clean. Overall, a great first experience.

"Great deli-style sandwiches, from rather hidden location on Chapel Hill Rd"…read more Came by here on a Saturday. This place is REALLY hard to find... it's behind the State Farm building, but there's barely any signage from the street. (Note: some photos here in Yelp seem to be from an older location.) We actually came one Saturday, but it was unexpectedly closed, but we caught them the following one, so good to call and confirm before driving over. You walk up to a door on the back, and scan a QR code to see the menu. Then knock on/ open the door and someone will come to take your order. Then you wait outside and they bring you your sandwiches. The lady who took our order was very friendly. The kitchen was rather large, so I suspect it's used for more than just this business. We ordered two turkey subs-- the East New York (which was slightly spicy) and the Dumbo. Wait time was maybe 7-10 minutes or so. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? Probably, but since there's no seating, and it's a bit awkward, maybe not the first place I'd think to try, but again, the sandwiches were REALLY good. I do think it may be excellent for catering or for getting picnic sandwiches though.

First of all, the bread is soft and has a nice bite, holds the juices of a sandwich well and was fresh. I got the Cobble Hill sandwich and the turkey was really good. Also the size is amazing for the price. When you get there, it feels like you're in the wrong place or entering in the wrong way, but you're not. I asked if this was the sandwich spot and a young man took my order and made my sandwich within 5 min. And there is enough parking behind the State Farm building to pull up and get your sandwich I can't wait to go back and try the Italian and cheesesteak sandwiches.

I've been going to this particular location at New Hope Commons for more than a decade now, not as frequently as before, but not rarely, and I notice there seems to be a slight downgrade when it comes to their food quality in recent years. I remember when in my first visits in Jason's Deli, every time I ordered a Reuben, the cashier would ask if I'd want regular or baked chips and my choice of side (usually I get French Onion soup, a fruit cup, or a side salad), but in my latest visit, I was not asked any of those. And what happened to the pickle dill that they usually include with the sandwich? Jason's Deli doesn't put that anymore. Yeah, sure you can get it from the Salad Bar, but it's usually included on your sandwich plate. I also prefer baked chips over regular, so when I got the regular chips I was slightly disappointed. I usually order the full Original Reuben (Corned Beef, not Pastrami) sandwich but they also have Manager's Special which comes with half of any sandwich of your choice + a cup of soup, which is not a bad combo for a slightly cheaper price. While the amount of beef in my latest visit was good, the Reuben in my sandwich tasted a bit cold as if it wasn't heated enough. The amount of kraut was good, and the Thousand Island dressing in the sandwich was fine. However, one corner of the rye bread was soggy, leaving me disappointed as I pondered how better Jason's Deli used to be. Jason's Deli's salad bar is decent with a good variety of toppings, cheeses, and dressings you can add. You'll have to pay additional if you want to add protein though. I tried having chicken breasts in the salad, and it tasted okay. You can get the Side Salad added to your sandwich order for about $6 or if you want a bigger plate, you can get the Garden Fresh Salad Bar for about $11.45. Both options are fairly price. They also have other specialty salads I haven't tried, so if you enjoy eating salads, you might enjoy Jason's Deli. Fettuccini Alfredo is not bad but not great. Don't expect it to be like Carabba's; it's a cheaper pasta but fairly priced; it comes with chicken and two pieces of bread, sauce is creamy enough. Chicken quality is better than its Italian neighbor, NY Pizza at New Hope Commons. My girl also enjoyed the penne with meatballs and marinara sauce. I also tried their wraps a few times such as the Ranchero Wrap, which is a Mexican-style wrap Southwest spices. Wraps and most of the foods in their menu are healthier than an average fast food chain. They also have a good variety of typical soups like Broccoli & Cheese, French Onion, Chili, and some Noodle Soups, so overall, menu items are what you'd expect from a deli chain. This Jason Deli location is at the center of New Hope Commons, close to the bus stop where many homeless people wait, and at one time, I saw a couple of them freely enter the restaurant without paying for food, and just eating the complimentary ice cream Jason Deli has for its customers. This is probably why they put coded locks for the bathroom doors: To prevent non-customers from accessing them. Overall, place looks spacious enough, even if it could get packed during Sunday lunchtime. Jason's Deli's soda machine and sweet tea options are convenient. Sweet teas are freshly-brewed, and fantastic with lemon. The complimentary soft-served ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or a mix of both) with the small cones or cup is nice but at one of our more recent visits, the ice cream machine was down. Food was served fast, and someone brings it to your table, and someone also cleans them up, so overall, customer service is fine. The main reason we go to a Jason's Deli is for the Great Reuben, which is sadly, no longer great; hopefully, management will be able to improve overall quality of it. Back in the day, I used to have lunch breaks here every time I hang out in the Barnes & Noble nearby. It's still the best place to get food in this New Hope Commons shopping area but that's not saying much since there's not a lot of other options here: There's a NY Pizza place, a Subway inside Walmart, a Philly Steak spot that seemed to have shut down, so I'm thankful that there's still a Jason's Deli here.
