Flying Pierogis, Loaded Fries, Farmhouse Burger

Been here a few times now and everytime has been so amazing. The dude with the beard behind the counter always has a refreshing attitude and makes incredible coffee. The inside of the delicatessen is super fun open and modern, the upstairs is super cute too. I've never had a bad menu item and have got something different each time and it all hits. This time we got the potato cheddar jalapeno perogis and the are perfectly balanced in flavor and the bed of salad is the best touch. The loaded fries we got had beautiful presentation and tasted just as good. And the farmhouse burger was bomb. I cannot rave enough about the coffee though, so much better than anywhere else in the area. Definitely our favorite spot for coffee and lunch!

The staff was so nice and welcoming. Went with my mother and two kids. Was pretty busy for lunch so we sat upstairs which was quiet and nice. They had outdoor seating as well. The food choices were varied and large servings. My daughter and I shared the flying pierogi and it was so good. Can't wait to go back and have again!

I was in Beer Study next-door to the restaurant, enjoying a few brews with friends and they have a kiosk for ordering next-door from the Flying Pierogi. Boy am I glad I went that route because you get more food. It seems that way ordering it to eat in the comfortable barbar than if you go into the restaurant and get it to go. It comes standard with six pierogies, and I ordered the spinach and feta which are very tasty. It comes on a bed of arugula salad with balsamic vinegar with bacon and sour cream on top of melted cheese and green onions. Very good. Perfect way for a nice meal and drink. And it was quickly brought over by a very friendly staff person.

I cannot recommend this place more. It's cute, bright, and stylish in its space (with an upstairs additional area for seating). The pierogis were phenomenal - I just wish I could have picked 2 flavors for the six (or gotten more a la carte). The owner was fun to chat with too!

2 hotdogs and a bag of chips for $25? Rip off!

So I decided to check this place out. They're super close to where I live in the area; which is a plus! Anyways, I got 2 hotdogs and a bag of chips. For that, I was charged nearly $25!! Ridiculous! Don't get me wrong, the food was excellent but not $25 excellent for lunch. I can get a gas station hotdog for a fraction of the cost and it taste just as good. The service was kind and friendly. According to the lady behind the counter, these guys have been open since April. Yet, when you look around inside, they're whole shelves just empty, baskets in the front of the check-out area, empty. I get they may be "new", but why not have your act together and stock your shelves? I've been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. Helped open alot of places, and I can tell you if you don't set your location up right from the start, it can affect consumer confidence. To me, it looked like the had just enough money to get started and then just stopped stocking the rest of their goods. It's supposed to be a deli right? So where's the fresh bread, the deli meat (there was only like 3 choices in their see-through cooler)?? Might be back, might not? If they're charging $25 for 2 hotdogs and chips...lord knows what they'll charge for a sandwich!

My husband and I recently stopped in for a laid back early weeknight dinner. The space is on the smaller side but cool and casual with a lot of sunlight; I could see it being a comfortable space to catch up with a friend or get some quiet work done. I believe they also have an upstairs area with additional seating. There is a beverage cooler with canned drinks, in addition to several beers on tap and other bar offerings. I opted for an Italian soda, which I am really happy they offer. We ordered at the counter after being warmly greeted. We split an order of their potato cheese pierogis, which were lightly fried with a soft creamy interior - very tasty. I loved the additional toppings of bacon and balsamic reduction. I am not sure I think the accompanying mixed greens are necessary, but perhaps if you wanted to make a meal of the pierogis this would be a welcome touch. I also had a Chicago dog which was fantastic. The hot dog itself was so, so flavorful and delicious, and the relish, mustard, tomato, sport peppers and soft poppyseed bun were wonderful with it. It was super messy but worth it. My husband had the bacon and bleu cheese burger and he loved that as well. We would definitely return!

Polish Kielbasa: Smoked all-pork polish kielbasa on a fresh roll, topped with spicy brown mustard and sauerkraut. FIRE!!!!
    Eric B.

Holy Sausage!!! This was hands down the best Polish in the entire triangle!!! Start with the protein as it had some nice body yet soft with a little snap! Tender to the point it just melts in your mouth. Great flavor coming through and not too smoky in the flavor, just the right amount! The mustard was on point as well, having a nice little bite and a creamy texture that blended well with the Kraut. The kraut was solid, as it has a nice tartness that grabbed your senses yet didn't drown out the sausage and mustard. The star that was front and center was the poppy seed roll, which was so soft and buttery. The roll held up to all the ingredients and sausage, yet didn't fall apart when digging in. Overall... this place is where it's at if you're looking for a quality sausage or hotdog!!! I can't wait to return to try the pierogi's next!!! Side note: No pic but the "onion rings" will ring your bell... they put some kind of herb salt on them.... DAAAAAMN!!! The gentleman who runs/owns the place that started the truck years ago... Hats off to you my guy!!! Thank you for bringing a phenomenal product to an area that has a demand but lacks in options!! You got a customer for life!

I stopped by The Flying Pierogi with my partner a couple days ago for a late lunch. This was my first time in and the guy at the counter who took our order was very helpful. My partner and I are both vegetarian and he customized the order to be meatless. We ordered the flying pierogis and loaded fries. The food came out quickly, was hot, fresh, and delicious. The flying pierogis were on a bed of arugula drizzled with balsamic vinegar and topped with sour cream. The flavors were well balanced and we loved both dishes. They also have a variety of hot sauce available. For seating, you have the option to sit on the ground level or go up the stairs to a lofted seating area. We sat on the ground level by the window. The restaurant was very clean which I always appreciate. We will definitely be back for more pierogis in the future.

I went for Oktoberfest and got a Hacker-Pschorr and an absolutely perfect Chicago dog with all the correct trimmings. 5 *'s.

Greasy food obnoxious service. Why do you have to be so rude to somebody who just wants a sandwich? Also, the grease is overwhelming.

The food was good but it was overpriced for what it is (6 pierogis for $15). Unlikely to go back given other options in the area.

Absolutely fantastic in my opinion. It was a bit overwhelming at first trying to decide on what to eat. We decided for the classic Gyro and had some avocado/guacamole type side....I forget the name. A month later, I found myself making the hour-long drive from Cary to Haw River Tap & Table--and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. As a farmhouse ale and saison enthusiast, this place felt like my happy place. We kicked things off with a flight featuring Beneath the Feet of Orion, We're All Quite Happy Right Here, Thank You (seriously... who comes up with these wonderfully ridiculous names? ), The Seven Faces of Pepe Grano, and Mille Fleur. Every beer was thoughtfully crafted and distinct, but We're All Quite Happy Right Here, Thank You completely stole the show. A bee pollen saison sounds unconventional, yet it was beautifully balanced, floral, refreshing, and unlike anything I've had before. The food easily kept pace with the beer. The Southern Cheese Slaw & Crackers disappeared embarrassingly fast, and the Carolina Egg Rolls were huge, crispy, and packed with flavor--perfect companions to the farmhouse ales. Of course, one flight wasn't enough. Round two included Crimson Velvet, Carolina Tapestry, Toasted Coconut Scribbler's Son, and Cultural Divide: Muscadine Rosemary. Each pour showcased the brewery's creativity without feeling gimmicky. Whether it was the rich toasted coconut lager, the juniper-forward sahti, or the tart muscadine rosemary sour, there was something memorable in every glass. If you appreciate breweries that aren't chasing the latest hazy IPA trend and instead focus on expertly crafted saisons, farmhouse ales, and unique traditional styles, Haw River Tap & Table is absolutely worth the trip. The quality, creativity, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent food made for an outstanding afternoon. I came because of one bottle from Whole Foods. I left already planning my next visit. Cheers!

It was a very casual set up, you order at the counter, take a plaque with a number, and they bring your food out when ready. Still riding the high from May's National Burger month, I decided to give their smash burger a try. Their smash burgers by default are only 3oz, but for +$4 you can get a second, and I'm assuming a third or fourth if you keep paying the additional fee. I also got a side of potato wedges, and the Shortstraw IPA (brewed with fresh pine needles!!!). They had a good variety of beers, so it was hard to pick. The Shortstraw IPA was an awesome starter. I wasn't sure at first, but the cashier gave me a taste, and it was really flavorful and unique. The food didn't take too long to come out, and everything tasted great. The burger was cooked perfected with some tasty seasonings on it, the fries were also cooked to perfection with a slight crunch on the outside, and soft on the inside. This was a great visit, and somewhere I'll certainly return to next time I'm in the area for a show. Friendly service, tasty food, and unique/delicious beer!
