Jersey Mike's recently moved into Gardena Marketplace, replacing the Quizno's, and to be honest, I'd rather have Quizno's back. I've tried this place on two separate occasions, and both times I was disappointed. They offer hot and cold subs, wraps, and salads. Like most sub sandwich places, subs are customizable with a variety of toppings. Also, any sub can be made into a salad. Food: - Big Kahuna Cheese Steak - Grilled onions and peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, and extra cheese. I specifically asked for no jalapenos. What did I find in my sandwich when I got home? A whole lot of jalapenos MIXED into the steak and cheese. It was basically impossible to pick them all out. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. - Turkey Wrap - Oven-roasted turkey, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard sauce. You also get a choice of wrap: regular, whole wheat, or spinach. I definitely enjoyed the flavor of the spinach tortilla! The inner contents of the wrap were alright. They definitely gave a lot of turkey, but there was barely any tomato. Also, I substituted the honey mustard for ranch dressing, and it was super watery! It could have been the water from the lettuce, too...either way, it made the bottom of my wrap soggy! I probably won't be getting this again either. Will I give this place one last shot? Maybe. But Jersey Mike's, three strikes and you're out. read more

Giving it 2 stars because I like the food and the sprinkler was good , but the girl on register was handling cash and sandwiches with the same gloves. I go here often I like to go when the owner is there the employees seem to be on too of things when he is there I went last week they did not toast my bread I specifically asked her she said ok but she was more focused on a bug order and forgot. The other time cashier had trouble with register and customer credit card the person making my sandwich went to help and touched the credit card and register and came to make my sandwich and did NOT understand cross contamination other than that the food is fresh sandwiches are great place is clean every time I have gone. read more

The nicest staff ever. Everyone is so kind that works here you always want to give them a great tip. They listen to what you want on your sandwich , take their time to make and it's never over dressed. My favorite place to come to for sandwiches in the area. My usual is the Turkey sub with bacon (#8) and of course Mike's way. If you come here enough you can collect rewards and start to get free meals. As far as fast food sandwiches go, i'm not talking the great non chain deli's but this type every mini mall type. Which Jersey Mike's is one of the better places to grab a quick bite. Why? Because most of their sandwiches like the turkey, or italian are great "mikes way". Mike's way is where they put their vinaigrette, lettuce tomato, onion and it's pretty healthy. Sometimes it's a little drenched if you take it to go, so go a little lighter on the dressing or get the vinaigrette on the side. Also, not too long ago, i tried a philly sandwich clone, and it's not a great philly clone, but you know, it wasn't bad, it was pretty good. I'd eat it again. And they use a specific brand of soda, which their cream soda is freaking so good lol. I can't stop drinking it. Don't tell me the sugar content lol. But this place has always been consistent and it's next to the in-and-out, and starbucks on western and artesia, so you can't miss it. Next time you're hungry for a sandwich and didn't want to drive far, this is a good alternative. Oh and they have combos, and this one has a daily special which is a good deal. I went in - everything hunky dory. Nice, neutral atmosphere. Ordered my sandwich. New employee (shift leader?) came in. Apparently this place needs some life! She immediately cranked up some personal tunes. Brought a little South Central atmosphere to Gardena. If that's what you like, by all means go for a visit. We love the sandwiches at Jersey Mikes- I love the veggie (#14) with red pepper relish, reminds me of an old sandwich place in this area in the 80's called Chompies! I can reminisce at Jersey Mike's. Everything is cut and put together when you order so you get a custom sandwich each time. We have liked everything we've tried. I always go to this jersey mikes and never have an issue. Tonight I went and showed them my student fundraiser card to get a free bag of chips and a free soda since I purchased a giant sandwich and 2 regulars. The girl who gave me my food was so rude she said oh no we don't accept these here. I said really because Everytime I come here I use it and it's not a problem, she said here?? I said yes I come here all the time. So my first complaint is poor customer service and my second complaint is both of my sandwiches are messed up but I do not want to go back and deal with her attitude. The pick time is alway incorrect/late, the time showed 11:32 and the order wasn't readyand had to wait till 12:08. Once I got back to work and unpacked the order noticed that is was wrong, missing a reg #66 and reg #13. I ordered 3 X reg #13 and rcvd 1 X reg #13 and 1 X Lrg #13 which is wrong. I came back and spoke to the manager and she argued saying they just packed the two reg #13 together and must have missed the #66, basically dismissing it being as a big deal.. I'm a fan of Jersey Mike's sandwiches so this review isn't about the food as it is about the location. This store is pretty good and always clean. A friendly staff serves their customers quickly and efficiently. Parking at this location can get pretty tricky. There are lots of other places to eat joining this restaurant and an In & Out in the same parking lot. Consequently, there is also a lot of pedestrian traffic through the parking lot as well. Bread was pretty good. Nothing special. Flavor was a little bland. I ordered the club. Bacon was a little dry. Ham was ok. Turkey was pretty good. The combo with a regular size drink and regular 6 inch sandwich with a bag of chips was $11 dollars and change. Seems a little expensive for me. I probably wouldn't go back. If you expect to pay $11 for a sandwich combo, you should might as well go to a gourmet sandwich place in Long beach or Redondo and get better tasty options than here. Jersey Mikes, cant got wrong!! To be honest, Ive NEVER had their hot subs, I always stick with the "Clubs" typically. Everything is always quality, the only issue I have had here is that 2 TIMES they have forgotten the BACON on my sub, so be sure that they dont do that to you, as without the Bacon, what is it?! It's Clean, they still wear their Face Mask and Gloves and that's a Plus! And Most of all, the Manager comes out and Speaks to individuals and see if everything is OK! 3.7 stars rounded up. This Jersey Mike's just opened so they're still trying to find their rhythm. However, though there was a little confusion on the line they still managed to get the rather lengthy line of people through in good time. Once they sync up I think they'll really rock it. Had the famous philly (17) which is what I usually get at J.M.'s. It was just as good as I've had at other locations. Just wish they had the "hot chips" or fries as sides like at some of the other locations (maybe soon?). 4 stars because the staff, from the guy who took my order to the girl sweeping the floor, everyone was super friendly and helpful, and they all worked hard to make a good lunch experience. Quick visit to this Jersey Mikes location and I guess we weren't the only ones because there was a bit of a line. But the staff was on point and the line breezed through with not much of a wait! Service was great. They were very polite and attentive to our questions and wants. The cashier was the nicest and took his time to ask how we were and felt genuine. He was detailed in ringing up our order and even nicer saying goodbye! The manager (or at least I think it was the manager) struck up some quick conversation and really personalized our visit. Yelp 100 Challenge - 36/100 Redeemed my birthday sandwich and soda. The friendly guy was nice and piled on the fresh tuna (no fishy smell yay) and then wished me happy birthday haha. I got the tuna sandwich w/ provolone cheese, salt&pepper, and banana peppers. Also, I tried soda I forgot which one. For Saturday evening, the place was almost empty except for one couple chatting. More customers started coming in later. One note is the outdoor patio is awesome: I like the openness and green grass. Being that this was my first visit to Jersey Mike's and the staff was VERY friendly, it was only right to make this review as positive as possible. I was the only customer inside at the time and Alex, the one who made my sandwich was very welcoming and attentive. As I was approaching the register and dessert, I asked how much the cookies were and which ones were good among the 3.
