Got 2 carnitas tacos & they are both soaked. Tortilla is ripping apart before i even take my first bite, can't get it out of the paper without it falling apart. Just what I want from my tacos.

This fish taco is huge, almost like a mini burrito. Used to go to this place a lot when this was Albertitas many years ago.

Location - convenient. Drive-thru. Corner. Old building that used to house a Taco Bell 3 decades ago, and other places like Albertita's 15-20 years ago. Service is fast and efficient. Food could be better, however. Today, I ordered what I thought was an expensive fish taco at almost $5. But I was surprised that the size of it was the equivalent of 2 tacos. Good flavor with the cabbage, cream and the salsa (although not chunky and watered down, had a good taste). I do wish the salsa had more chunky. The Mar Y Tierra Burrito (shrimp and asada) was not to my liking. The portion was huge for the price (less than $12) with plenty of shrimp and beef inside. However, it was too wet and juicy inside that made it too difficult to eat, with all the juices flowing and the burrito losing its shape. In my opinion, it needs less liquid, less beans, less guacamole, a little bit more dry ingredients like rice to help keep its shape, and maybe more pico de gallo to balance the flavor, or even some grilled bell peppers and onions. It's just too soggy and the flavor is boring. The meat needs to be dried more or put on the grill prior to scooping it into the burrito. They take credit card and apple pay for a small fee. Other than that, I'd give this place 3.4 stars for now.

Always hits the spot for some fast Mexican food. Our go-tos are carne fries (as is or burrito) and al pastor mulita.

    Pollo Asado Super fries

The pollo asado burrito and the carnitas burrito are the best thing on the menu. The 2nd best thing is the super quseadilla. The tacos and the super fries are delicious. The taquitos are average, but the guacamole is pretty good. I did not care for the enchilada plate. The refried beans have no seasoning. The Spanish rice has no flavor, but the enchilada sauce was good so I put it on the rice and it was much better. After sauce was gone I didn't eat anymore rice. The service is fast and great. The cashier is very nice and polite. The area is always clean.

Felt like having a breakfast burrito but I'm sure I didn't order one with just potato.

Well, it's been a while and I was craving their taquitos so I decided to try and see if anything had changed. Yes, things HAVE changed. Prices have gone way up and the quality has gone down. The taquitos are now only 1/3 covered by cheese and guacamole and potatoes now make up 90% of the breakfast burritos. Very tiny pieces of sausage, very little egg, and a few shreds of cheese. Place has become a total rip off. It's not even close to being worth what they are currently charging. I've got even fewer reasons to return here than before. Save yourself the grief and find someplace else to get mexican food. RIP OFF is even too kind to describe what this place has become.

Don't judge a book by its cover, this is place is definitely one of those no frills, nothing fancy one. Came her for the Breakfast burritos and I'm so glad I did. The portions size is very generous, loaded with chorizo, potatoes and eggs. On top of that, I think the tortilla are freshly, hand made on site. You can definitely taste the quality. The salsa was also very good and wished they gave more. I'll definitely plan on coming back soon and try something else on the menu.

This review is for their carne asada fries only. 4 solid stars! +located on corner of Western and Gardena Blvd. there's drive through and to go order window. There's no indoor dining but there's outdoor benches if you want to eat your food immediately +my boyfriend and I like to order their carne asada fries! They put a lot of carne asada and the fried are crispy and delicious. It's not the best but it definitely does the job when you're craving for one. -The only downside is that they' don't give you a lot of hot sauce even if you ask for it. We like to douse our carne asada fries in sauce so we've asked them to provide a lot and we'll pay extra. For some reason they only give us a few packets of salsa :/

Holy crap!!! My co worker introduced me to this place, and it is some of the best food I have ever had! By far the best Mexican food in the South Bay! Great service, awesome prices, a chill atmosphere, and outstanding food! What more could you ask for!

Never again. Spoiled Pico de Gallo and soggy fries. What happened to this place?!

The restaurant is small, but we were able to get a table in the back corner. It was a little snug, but honestly, our hunger was more pressing. First up--the chips and salsa were THE BOMB! That salsa was so fresh, flavorful, and had just the right kick. I could have--and pretty much did--drink it. They also brought us a bowl of beans topped with crema, and my kids were practically fighting over them. My husband and kids ordered burritos: two steak, one chile verde, and one chorizo. They were a good size and were instantly devoured, which is always a good sign! I ordered their $11 special: an enchilada, chicken taco, beans, and rice. It was flavorful, filling, and straight-up OG Mexican food. I really enjoyed my entire plate, especially for the price. My only complaint was the noise level. We had a speaker directly over our table, so the music was pretty loud, and the table next to us was a little loud as well. It made conversation a bit difficult at times. But all in all, we will definitely be back! I'm so happy we discovered another Mexican restaurant to add to our rotation. Now, La Villa... I just need that salsa recipe! I need a few cups so I can drink it! I loved learning that they've been around since 1969.

Ended up ordering burritos, tamales, enchiladas, hard and soft shell tacos, etc. - Tamales were the best. Meaty carnitas - burrito was next best. Meaty, not too much filling. I'm from NM so love the wet style. It bugged me that you have to pay extra for Christmas style. Who really likes getting charged for a lick of sauce? How much does that sauce really cost the business? Look, I walked away and I still remember you wanted to charge me some nominal fee for the sauce. I told my friends. Now I'm telling my friends on Yelp. The owner should read up on pricing psychology. He probably doesn't want to be known as the guy who charges for sauce, is my guess. - Chicken taco was a nice size and tasted ok - enchiladas were mid Salsa is only free for the first 2 servings. Even for a table of 4, that bugged me. Again, he's known now as the guy who nickels and dimes. Sigh. Ambiance is dark inside like a pub. It would look more modern and family friendly with more natural light. As most would expect out of a restaurant. We came here during a World Cup game. The game was on. That was a plus We were thinking of coming back to order the family pack. Then no one at home would charge me extra for the salsa. ha!! I read just now in another review that this place charges for hot water. Ok then, the owners is STRIVING to be the nickel and dime people. Yelpers are talking and people are listening. Do yourselves a favor and reverse these dumb pricing practices. You'll never know the business you are losing for the $2 here and $3 there. It's never worth it!

The wet burrito was the star of my visit, big, saucy, and exactly the kind of comfort bomb you want from a spot like this. The red sauce had that perfect balance of savory and tangy, and the burrito itself was stuffed generously. Every bite was so good, so delicious! And the tacos.....Fire. The homemade tortillas make all the difference, soft, warm, and with that fresh‑masa aroma that tells you they didn't come from a plastic bag. No... no... no! They hold up beautifully to the fillings without falling apart, and they add this subtle sweetness that elevates everything. Chips and salsa were simple but solid. The chips had a good crunch, and the salsa tasted fresh, bright, and not overly blended, the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're "saving room for the burrito."
