Old school since 1952. This has always been a popular place to buy sandwiches and other food items. A blue collar customer in front of me picked up at least ten ready made torpedoes most likely heading back to the work site. Luckily he left a large torpedo for me LoL. My mom and I sat outside while we enjoyed the sandwich.

Forget the copycats... THIS is the original spot, and now officially my favorite restaurant. My Wife and I used to frequent the Torrance location until I found out this is the original and not affiliated with the other one. After eating here, the difference was obvious. The food is amazing, authentic, and made with quality ingredients. The employees are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. What makes this place special is that it's more than just a restaurant -- they carry traditional Italian foods including fresh pasta, canned goods, bakery items, sliced meats and cheeses by the pound, sandwiches, salads, olives, condiments and more. On our last visit we were craving a French Dip Sandwich... and wow. The meat was unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth. We added provolone cheese and that was all it needed. Paired it with some macaroni salad and it was absolute perfection. Definitely one of those places you keep coming back to.

Pastrami, pastrami, pastrami! It's my favorite hot deli sandwich to order and as an intro to Giuliano's, I'm now a fan. We enjoyed a picnic and my sandwich was the main character! Juicy pastrami, soft bread, and mustard. Yum! This was a pick up order that my friend made but the food inspired me to visit.

Giuliano's never fails to impress! We recently tried their torpedo sandwich which is prepared in advance and sits on the counter near the bakery. There are 2 sizes, and my husband and I can share the large easily. It's filled with deli meats and seems to very popular. We also love their cookies, especially when they have seasonal sugar cookies like their Valentine hearts. If you haven't been to Giuliano's, you'll be surprised as we were that we hadn't tried them sooner.

Got a large Roast Beef sandwich. Really good sandwich. The sandwich comes with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mustard. The Roast Beef was tender and flavorful. The roll was soft with the right amount of texture. I also have to mention that they make a very good Meatball sandwich. Service was very friendly and prompt.

One of my favorite places to stop when I'm in town. This place has been here since I was a kid growing up. The provide fast friendly service. But I have to warn you that they can get busy especially during lunch hour and around dinner time.

Amazing food and sandwiches! They have plenty of options in the deli, bakery and shelves. Love love love this place and I'm so glad I finally found it but sad it took me this long! Service was friendly enough. Calm ambience, little small and hard to walk around when busy but I believe that just adds to the charm!

    Giulio Party Sub

I ordered the Party Sub Giulio UNBELIEVABLE! I have never had an authentic Italian sub and the bread was nice and soft seemed fresh! The meat was more than enough I LOVED that. Only gripe I'd have is slightly more lettuce but overall GREAT sandwhich! 8.5/10

Can we say beautiful in a store!! How have I never been here before. Found this place by accident and a happy one it was. Friendly, fast service with delicious goodies to feel your eyes appetite and that of your belly. You will not be disappointed at all. Came in for a sandwich for the the half and left with literally almost one of everything'. Stretchy pants here I come

Got the Giulio sandwich. The small was still pretty big and decent price. The meats were fresh and the bread was soft. The staff was really nice. The food can take awhile to make given it's so busy during the lunch rush. The market itself is nice for getting many Italian items like olive oil, fresh pasta and tinned fish. The outdoor seating is nice but also next to a busy street so it can get loud.

We love the OG Giiliano's! Quick stop to pick up cold cuts (Smoked Turkey and Cheese), potato salad, and breads. We also picked up a take and bake pizza, first time I have seen these! The breads! First time I have seen Sicilian bread, including ones with Sesames! So excited to finally find these, I grew up with Italian Bread back East. Picked up and also a loaf of sour dough. They carry so many types of bread including French and French baguettes! Very excited to find Germsn Butter Cheese! I haven't seen this anywhere since Alpine Village closed! What a great score!

So many delicious things! Vegetarian review: - cheese sandwich was delightful. It's just cheese if you want it, but it really becomes a build your own. There's lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, pepperonis, etc etc. I added pesto. So good. - baguette (sliced, in a bag). Super soft and perfect for dips or just as snacks. These run out. - caprese salad: least favorites of them all, but still ok. It was not quite as flavored as I would have liked, and the mozzarella was kind of soft (which sounds good, but is somehow not). - spinach dip: so good. So worth having. Get this. Parking was actually not bad (Sunday around 2pm). Service was great

    Mood. Love the torpedos!
    Julie L.

$10 for a large torpedo in this economy gets a well deserved round of applause. I've let go of the resentment that the fillings were more robust pre-pandemic. The bread has and remains the same delicious chewiness. Highly recommend if you're in the area! Cookies by the pound, fresh made desserts, sides for grab and go, dried Italian pasta, spices, jars of pickled veggies & delights. YES and YESSS for those in the back who just arrived. Thank you, Giuliano's fam for keeping the 2 locations open and feeding me & the fam for decades. Yelp fam: Someone told me the grandsons have their own delis and restaurants in Hermosa / Torrance. PLEASE drop into the DMs if you have the names.

Do they still sell raw pizza dough?

Do they have Angel Hair Pasta?

Yes. They have a nice assortment of different dried pastas. They also make fresh as well, but if you want a particular kind of fresh pasta, you have to call and request it as the type of fresh pasta that they make daily changes.

I thought it was funny to see a little candy display in the front but if it works for them who am I to judge? The restaurant is intimate but it feels familial. Great place to grab a quick lunch, or have a casual family dinner. Service (4/5): On a busy night expect a wait. We had to wave over our waitress a couple times to get some items for our party. I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!
