My favorite place for my Italian needs. I love this place. Every dish, snack, item is top tier. Service is quick & good. I get the same thing everytime I come here. Pasta, garlic bread & a torpedo sandwich. The place reminds me of the godfather movie . Seating outsid, not inside. No restroom.

Forget the copycats... THIS is the original spot, and now officially my favorite restaurant. My Wife and I used to frequent the Torrance location until I found out this is the original and not affiliated with the other one. After eating here, the difference was obvious. The food is amazing, authentic, and made with quality ingredients. The employees are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. What makes this place special is that it's more than just a restaurant -- they carry traditional Italian foods including fresh pasta, canned goods, bakery items, sliced meats and cheeses by the pound, sandwiches, salads, olives, condiments and more. On our last visit we were craving a French Dip Sandwich... and wow. The meat was unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth. We added provolone cheese and that was all it needed. Paired it with some macaroni salad and it was absolute perfection. Definitely one of those places you keep coming back to.

Old school since 1952. This has always been a popular place to buy sandwiches and other food items. A blue collar customer in front of me picked up at least ten ready made torpedoes most likely heading back to the work site. Luckily he left a large torpedo for me LoL. My mom and I sat outside while we enjoyed the sandwich.

Giuliano's never fails to impress! We recently tried their torpedo sandwich which is prepared in advance and sits on the counter near the bakery. There are 2 sizes, and my husband and I can share the large easily. It's filled with deli meats and seems to very popular. We also love their cookies, especially when they have seasonal sugar cookies like their Valentine hearts. If you haven't been to Giuliano's, you'll be surprised as we were that we hadn't tried them sooner.

Pastrami, pastrami, pastrami! It's my favorite hot deli sandwich to order and as an intro to Giuliano's, I'm now a fan. We enjoyed a picnic and my sandwich was the main character! Juicy pastrami, soft bread, and mustard. Yum! This was a pick up order that my friend made but the food inspired me to visit.

Got a large Roast Beef sandwich. Really good sandwich. The sandwich comes with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mustard. The Roast Beef was tender and flavorful. The roll was soft with the right amount of texture. I also have to mention that they make a very good Meatball sandwich. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Can we say beautiful in a store!! How have I never been here before. Found this place by accident and a happy one it was. Friendly, fast service with delicious goodies to feel your eyes appetite and that of your belly. You will not be disappointed at all. Came in for a sandwich for the the half and left with literally almost one of everything'. Stretchy pants here I come

Got the Giulio sandwich. The small was still pretty big and decent price. The meats were fresh and the bread was soft. The staff was really nice. The food can take awhile to make given it's so busy during the lunch rush. The market itself is nice for getting many Italian items like olive oil, fresh pasta and tinned fish. The outdoor seating is nice but also next to a busy street so it can get loud.

One of my favorite places to stop when I'm in town. This place has been here since I was a kid growing up. The provide fast friendly service. But I have to warn you that they can get busy especially during lunch hour and around dinner time.

Amazing food and sandwiches! They have plenty of options in the deli, bakery and shelves. Love love love this place and I'm so glad I finally found it but sad it took me this long! Service was friendly enough. Calm ambience, little small and hard to walk around when busy but I believe that just adds to the charm!

We love the OG Giiliano's! Quick stop to pick up cold cuts (Smoked Turkey and Cheese), potato salad, and breads. We also picked up a take and bake pizza, first time I have seen these! The breads! First time I have seen Sicilian bread, including ones with Sesames! So excited to finally find these, I grew up with Italian Bread back East. Picked up and also a loaf of sour dough. They carry so many types of bread including French and French baguettes! Very excited to find Germsn Butter Cheese! I haven't seen this anywhere since Alpine Village closed! What a great score!

So many delicious things! Vegetarian review: - cheese sandwich was delightful. It's just cheese if you want it, but it really becomes a build your own. There's lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, pepperonis, etc etc. I added pesto. So good. - baguette (sliced, in a bag). Super soft and perfect for dips or just as snacks. These run out. - caprese salad: least favorites of them all, but still ok. It was not quite as flavored as I would have liked, and the mozzarella was kind of soft (which sounds good, but is somehow not). - spinach dip: so good. So worth having. Get this. Parking was actually not bad (Sunday around 2pm). Service was great

    Torpedo (small)
    Laura C.

Parking: Free street parking spots outside. Experience: We came for a late lunch around 3pm and were a little overwhelmed by the menu. You order at the sandwich counter then wait for your food and then pay at the bakery counter. Everything sounded good. I got a small torpedo sandwich, which was $8 and massive! If you don't specify a small, they'll give you a large which is probably 2 feet long! We loved looking at all the Italian products and all the freshly baked breads looked amazing. There's no indoor seating, but there were some tables outside so we ate there. Overall, excellent value for money, Subway could never!

    Mood. Love the torpedos!

    Definitely

Do they still sell raw pizza dough?

    Yes

Can we order online to just do pick up (bakery/pastries)?

Yes, you can order in advance from the bakery and pick up. There may be a line inside but you can still order in advance.

Do they have Angel Hair Pasta?

Yes. They have a nice assortment of different dried pastas. They also make fresh as well, but if you want a particular kind of fresh pasta, you have to call and request it as the type of fresh pasta that they make daily changes.

Do they sell coffee to go?

Yes. The coffee is at the other end of the sandwich counter.

On a typical weekday, do they run out of bread loaves in the morning?

not that I have ever seen!

Is there a dining area inside?

Do you sell Chili Con Queso?

I have not seen it sold at this Italian Deli

Seems like a stupid question but do u guys sell slices of sour dough bread instead of a loaf?

I liked the choice of bread, reminds me of the one I get from the grocery store. The tuna itself didn't have salt or much seasoning to enhance a flavor profile. It's def a healthy serving for $13. I usually only eat half and save the other half for another time. But I can see how it could be finished in one sitting, cause I so happened this time around. It's a cool aesthetic, great location with parking. They have beer and a small mini bar with maybe 5 bar stools or so. Indoor & outdoor for seating.

I've encountered at least 5 different people and they've all been amazing! I am really big on customer service so they are already winning before the food and drinks are ordered. I can tell it is a family business. It has that feel and I love it. I tend to find something I like and veer. My go-to selects are the mudslide (a protein smoothie), the breakfast croissant (what makes this bomb us how much you get on it - 4 proteins!) And the vanilla cold brew with oat milk topped sea salt foam. The pesto chicken sandwich is being eyed however. I really need to try more of the menu. Today, T.K. made my sandwich. He told me he made it with love and asked me if I wanted to see it. I was so hungry and so happy that he made it with love and was excited to see his creation. It was magnificent! And Michael (I think, sorry if I got that wrong) made a wonderful cold brew for me today, too! They were both new employees but so attentive to me and it really made my day even better. They have a points program, too. Every 50 points earns you $5 off. The store is always clean. They have a small seating area but they somehow manage to make it feel roomy by maximizing the space. There is plenty of seating with a mounted television, too. I love the little details and the effort they make. For example, they offer flavored coffee creamer. I am very particular when it comes to my coffee which is why I tend to never order coffee when I'm out. Instead, I usually do like a latte or cappuccino but having these options is clutch. I make mine at home with french vanilla creamer so this makes me smile. Also, I believe their coffee is dark roast which is right up my alley. It is all I drink. Don't swing no medium roast my way. I can't speak to the tacos sold at a place that does drinks as I haven't tried them, but I can say the following: Ambiance (3/5): Small but cute, they don't skimp on AC even as it's a sunny little shop. Great for studying if you're able to nab a seat; they have three tables that seat 4 (maybe 5 if you bunch up on the bench). The natural lighting makes it pretty nice to so some work in there. They have an extension cord with multiple outlets tucked in the corner under the corner table. Service (4/5): Server was friendly and quick. I'm glad he asked if regular milk was okay because it reminded me that it's not for my husband. It's a small thing but it's appreciated! I also loved the little surprise of getting some extra smoothie in a small cup, perfect for my daughter. Why can't other shops be like this? Appreciate it! Drink (4/5): The strawberry banana smoothies tasted fresh. Real fruit bits and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. My husband and I both noted that it had great flavor. My only gripe was that it was still a bit icy; it was hard at times sucking the smoothie out of the boba straw we used. If it were blended fully and smoothly, I would say it would be near perfect. Would we come back? Based on this experience, if we need a quick stop for a drink before the freeway, this makes for a good stop. I wouldn't mind trying out one of their match drinks next time (those look pretty good)!
