We love and frequent this particular Jersey Mike's ..... their subs are delicious and the employees are always welcoming. HOWEVER ... the last 5-6 times that we have ordered through the app the orders were NEVER as we asked (customized). I always note in capital letters NO MAYO. Every single time the subs come slathered in mayo. I hate mayo and it makes the sub mediocre. If I go into the store to order I tell the employee NOT to put any on. Never works asking in the app. The last time was yesterday (Saturday, April 18) when I ordered through the app and picked it up at 12:31pm. Please ask your employees to READ the customizations. I rarely ever go to Jersey Mike's in general. When I used to work near one, I would always get the free bday sub in the past. I believe they stopped doing that as I never get those offers anymore. Anyway, this location is super convenient for me (South Torrance in a healthcare office park area) and decided to give it a try. Got a club sandwich Mike's Way which is shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil, spices, and I opted for no onions. A superior sandwich from the quality of proteins and just overall tasty! Helpful and enthusiastic order takers/sandwich makers. On a regular size JM sub, I normally eat half of one and save the rest for later. But this time I ate the whole sandwich in one sitting. Will likely be back and get the same sandwich! read more

I ordered a JM's Philly. Worst sandwich I've ever had from this establishment. So much cheese and soggy bread that, when I opened the wrapping, the liquid dripped all over my pants and shoes. The sandwich totally fell apart leaving a pile of meat and disintegrated bread. I showed it to the cashier and rather than offer me a replacement, at my request he gave me two forks. It was disgusting trying to eat the meat. I wouldn't take a photo of it because it would ruin people's appetites. Some fell through the wrapping onto the table and then floor. The cheese so permeated the pile that when I tried to eat it with a fork it was stuck to the paper. I left having eaten only two bites. Wasted $16.50. It's raining hard right now. The young ladies working tonight were very kind to me. One grabbed a cardboard box so I could use to get to my car bc when I arrived at Jersey Mikes it wasn't pouring down rain like it is now! I'm a loyal Jersey Mike's customer, and my go-to is the #9 Club Supreme--roast beef, turkey, Applewood bacon, and Swiss cheese. I always order it Mike's Way with jalapeños, banana peppers, hot chopped pepper relish, and chipotle aioli instead of mayo. Every time I order from the app, my sandwich is ready on time, made perfectly, and never disappoints... until today. When I ordered from this location, it was as if they hadn't even looked at my request. The sandwich wasn't made Mike's Way, I got plain mayo instead of chipotle aioli, and they left out the jalapeños and pepper relish altogether. To top it off, the grilled Portobello mushroom & Swiss sandwich was a letdown--mostly grilled onions, barely any mushrooms, and nothing like the photo on the app. This experience was so disappointing that I won't be ordering from this location again. read more

So good that we went here twice in one week. I've had other jersey Mike locations that were just okay or were bad, but this one makes a solid sandwich that is hearty, fresh and delicious. Ordering from the app is easy and efficient. Food is made quickly. I tried the 9, 10, and California Club (13th Cold sandwich tho it doesn't have a number). The ingredients are fresh and I love the mikes way blend of red wine vinegar etc--definitely beats plain mayo and is a must for ordering your sandwich. Beware of plastic in your sandwich. I found a couple of thin strands of plastic mixed in the sandwich. Interesting if it were onions why two thin strands in only one half? The employees said it was onion. I have never seen perfectly clear onions before even the skin is slightly opaque. They did offer to do the sandwich over. read more

Love the sandwiches but service is awful. Online orders take forever. Mine was 20 minutes after promised time today and that was fast compared to the people that waited 45 minutes and 1 hour. Everyone has a short lunch break and it's wasted waiting at Jersey Mike's. Why not make the promise time 20-30 minutes later so people show up later? This is the newest Jersey Mike's Subs and is located on Hawthorne Blvd; right by the Randy's donuts. The location is a bit smaller than the other Jersey Mike's in the South Bay. They still offer the same great sandwiches though. Most recently I placed an order for their new Portabello Mushroom Chicken Cheese Steak. I ordered it online and pick up was fairly easy. I was also happy with the fair amount of chicken and portobello mushroom inside the sandwich. The sandwich hot, fresh and yummy. I have one final follow up on my review. On 8/31, I decided to use the coupons for free sandwiches that the owner so generously sent me. I called ahead 20.minutes to order 2 sandwiches (nothing out of the ordinary). When I arrived, there were 2 food delivery service individuals waiting (Grub Hub & Uber Eats), and approximately 8 additional customers ordering in line with only 2 employees working. Don't get me wrong, the workers were hustling as fast as they could but, the store was severely understaffed for the number of customers they had. Again, the extended wait is par for the course . In my experience at other Jersey Mikes locations, there are at least 4 or 5 employees minimum working and making sandwiches. Additionally, This was also a holiday weekend so, not sure why there were only 2 employees in the whole place tending to customers. There was no way for them to be efficient or keep up with the orders based on the number of customers that were there. Ultimately, I had to wait no less than an additional 15 minutes after ordering 20 minutes prior for my order to be ready. I understand it is difficult to staff a small business but, I could not imagine this inefficiency not causing lost business. I have seen customers walking out upset and irritated on a regular basis. It's unfortunate. This follow up is ultimately an effort to be honest about my experience. I would want to know if I was the business owner. Thank you for looking into this. I went in for a large catering order. 11 boxes of sandwiches! The young man at the register was very friendly, the manager I spoke to was helpful and everything was ready on time exactly as promised. All the "juice" was on the side in squeeze bottles, mustard and mayo packets neatly separated in bags, all boxes were clearly labeled. They even helped me carry all of this to my car! I asked several times and waited patiently after watching orders that were placed after mine leave the store. BUT, I love Jersey Mikes and decided to return to this store but walked in this time. Line moved quickly and I asked for number 9 and if it could be cut into three pieces. The employee said sure, just let the next guy know. So, I moved down and when the next employee asked how I would like my sandwich I said, "Mikes way", but could you cut into three pieces, he said sure. Then I went to the cashier and stated three large fountain drinks and a number three, (oops) number 9 (three stuck in my head) and stated to Sandra the Manager that I wanted the sandwich cut in three pieces. As I proceed to pay (and tip), out of the corner of my eye I notice the sandwich is cut into four pieces. I asked again if it was that cut into three, the employee said no, wrapped the sandwich and handed it to me. Ugh, ok.... Every time, no matter if I order through app or in store, this location cannot get it right. The Manager did not ask for my membership or phone number and I did not receive a receipt. I placed an online order on my app for 11:15. I arrived early and waited till 11.15 to go in. I went to the pick up area and one of the employees was asking me what I was waiting for. I explained I was waiting for my online order for Meagan. He then proceeded to tell me that someone already picked up my order, which made no sense to me and made me very confused as to how and why someone would do that. None of the workers apologized at all for what happened and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to remake my order. I was in my lunch break and only had 30 minutes for my break. On top of all of this, two out of the three sandwiches I ordered were made incorrectly. These sandwiches are costly to me and it's upsetting to me that the order was picked up by someone else, I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for it to be made again, and that two out of three sandwiches were made wrong.
