To me it looks more like a tea shop than a sandwich shop. During our visit, they played fairly loud religious music for a sandwich shop. Next door was an ice cream shop but I didn't feel like any ice cream after eating and I'm not a big Blue Bell fan anyway. They have 2 menus and a lot of items to choose from but most are breakfast or lunch items. I went with a specialty sandwich, the Victoria (a chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread) and a sweet tea. I added their homemade potato salad for $1 more. The sandwich - this was a tasty sandwich on soft ciabatta bread but only 1 problem, the kitchen put American cheese on it. The menu indicated it had cheddar. Luckily they were able to bring me some cheddar from the kitchen while I was scraping off the processed cheese. Overall, it was pretty good because of a sauce they put on it which is slathered all over the shredded chicken. Potato salad - this is mayo based, quite different than the mustard based potato salad in the south. They added plenty of dill on the sandwich which made my colleague cringe since he also substituted for potato salad, but I thought it was pretty good. The service was a little strange as I heard our waitress keep making mistakes with another nearby table too as she kept saying "sorry" to that table as well.

One is for breakfast and lunch and one serves sandwiches, coffee, and ice cream. We chose the latter one. Small dining area but it was not busy so we seated ourselves. Promptly someone came and took our order after giving us some very helpful suggestions. We chose The Rose with broccoli salad and the Smoking Cricket with potato salad. All of it was delicious. But our favorite is The Rose. Their homemade pimento cheese with bacon and pepper jelly on ciabatta was amazing!

Portions are more than enough for me any combo chosen. My go to is usually the spud and sandwich. This round was the Caesar salad and King Club (angus beef). The food seemed to come out a lot slower than expected for there only being a few tables sat, but nonetheless, the food was filling. And a worker did come around to pick up plates once he noticed my husband was done. Overall, a decent atmosphere and experience. Much improved from last visit where half the lobby was unavailable for seating due to a catering order and chairs on tables.

I had a club sandwich and the wife had a chicken salad and two drinks…read moreand our ticket was over $35 and I was offered a side of macaroni and cheese that I thought was included in the sandwich price and come to find out it wasn't and it was just mediocre at best and there's nothing special about the salad or the club sandwich I had and being charged almost $4 for a soda pop and $3.50 for an iced tea is insane at those kind of prices I could have had steak and I won't be going back to Mcalister's anytime soon. We had to get in line like we were at a cafeteria and place our order and then somebody brought it out to the table but that was the extent of the service so I really can't criticize that.

The "salad" on top of the meat cheese isn't a wow factor anymore. I used to love getting a number five made Mike's way, on their original (white) bread. But yesterday that sandwich was a sad representation of the sandwich they used to made and serve. No signage telling where to order. We just walked up to the counter as there were three or four employees between the work station and the cash register. We placed our order and had to keep answering the same questions about what we wanted on our sandwich. They were not busy and we were the only ones placing an order. Then we had to ASK to have our sandwich cut. That used to be something they always did. When did that change? The dining area looked clean and has a few tables/booths. The usual surfer photos and such to make it look like the Jersey Shore. Unfortunately, my favorite sandwich shop is no longer my favorite. Maybe this location is different than other Jersey Mike's?
