We were on our way from Northern, VA to Tellico Plains, TN and stopped for lunch! If you get a chance to eat there, do it! We both had the half-sandwich/soup special. I had the Turkey with cucumber, spinach, and a delicious sauce. My tomato basil soup was amazing, and a good thickness for dunking! My husband had the Cuban. He said he's coming back to have it again. When traveling we look for places to get fresh foods prepared in a great way! This meal did not disappoint! Was referred to this place by a great friend, and they did not steer me wrong. From the moment you walk into the place you will love how spacious it is and how clean and neat everything is. The staff is super friendly and are genuinely happy to see you. The menu is so cool ... each and everything has a little special twist to it (from the vast array of deviled eggs to the special tomato jalapeno sauce on the friend bologna sandwich). Great selection of soups, sandwiches ... and then dessert! I had the eggnog cheesecake and could have eaten an entire pie. I came in on a Thursday ... and loved it so much, came back on Friday to get what I was not able to stuff myself with the first day. We split a French Dip with a side of Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad and Tomato Basil Soup. All of it was absolutely perfect. The owners, Andrew and Megan, are especially nice and brought over samples of there various sides for us to try. The Smokey Pimento Cheese was so good, we ordered some to take home. The Baked Potato Salad was excellent too as were all of the other sides. We will definitely come back for more and recommend the Bristol Café & Market to our friends. As a bonus, their very reasonable prices makes it a very affordable five star restaurant for Lunch or even a light dinner. I hope they will add a Breakfast menu someday soon. Megan and her husband did the catering for our wedding, and were absolutely amazing! They were extremely accommodating with our custom menu (to the point of even modifying some recipes to fit my personal preferences). They included utensils, plates, and cups (again, they worked to match all of it to our style and colors), and served the entire meal (no crappy drop-and-go catering here). Everything was served at the correct temperatures. We got loads of happy comments from our guests. And let's talk about prices - they gave me the best quote out of everyone I talked to! I love this place! It's a really quality sandwich and soup place that crafts delicious sandwiches with good bread and quality ingredients. They don't have a super extensive menu, but don't let that fool you. Everything I've had here has been great! I like the roast beef with basil mayo sandwich. They have yummy homemade soups and they also sell quiches and chicken pot pies to take home. They have a small selection of beer and delicious locally made desserts. I most certainly had breakfast. I was encouraged to have French toast casserole. It was during race weekend so I am guessing that is one of the occasional times breakfast is served. After driving by I see now that the place is not closed, however after eating there FOR BREAKFAST I really don't have the desire to go back. It was a cute and clean place. The food was eatable, the service was ok. It was quite expensive for what it was. My husband, my daughter and myself were there during the spring race and we left hungry. Had a BLT from here a few mos. back. It was really good. Was wanting to try the roast beef sandwich, but my work hrs just wouldn't let me get there to get one for my lunch. I'm a cashier at Walmart up the road from them. I have them come thru my line occasionally. Super people! I told him I was wanting to try the roast beef if I could ever get back there.
