Best sandwich in Columbia Metro award?…read more I mean yall. What? I be the MOST dramatic on these reviews sometimes bc lol they just read more fun. I'm. Dead. Ass. If yall don't get down to this bad boy and order you the "Chicken Charleston" during our lord and saviors pride month?! HOMOPHOBIA! I didn't know what to order (they literally have the LARGEST menu) and the fabulous front of house baddie said she loved The Charleston so.. I said you know what? LAYGO. 10/10 This was the best dang sandwich I've had in months. It's basically a chicken Philly but they put they whole foot, knee, thigh, and hootenanny into making that bad boy. AND ITS ACROSS FROM THE HOSPITAL SO I CAN JUST MOSEY ON OVER ANY TIME IM IN THIS CENTRALIZED LOCAYSH?! swear SC just wants me to stay fat and sassy atp. Only thing I disliked was the black olives in the pasta salad, but that's a personal preference situation. (Yall can have mine if you wanna meet up for lunch, tuh!) They also have kids eat free nights too! Clearly I don't have any children (kind of difficult to given the whole.. well, it's pride month yfm? Hahaha) but bring the whole fam. Clean, welcoming, good service and decently quick. Thanks everyone! Fr, this rocked.

The carrot cake was moist, flavorful, and fluffy. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was inviting. Every time we come to Colombia, I must stop here.

What a great locally owned hot deli. They have a pretty expansive menu. It's in West Columbia, not…read moretoo far from Zestos and The Healing Bar. There's plenty of parking. They have some outside seating set up for a beautiful day. There are also places to sit and dine inside.   I did a pickup order via phone, but I believe you can order online as well. It was two staff, someone cooking and someone in front. Everyone was pleasant. The prices are good too.   Okay, let's get to the food. Pictured is the BLT and the fried chicken sandwich with bacon. I did not try the BLT. The fried chicken sandwich was pretty good. It was heavy, but I enjoyed it! The flavor wasn't too strong, yet it blended well with the bacon. The cheese sticks were okay. The fries were fresh and delicious. Every thing was made to order. The portions are great. It's worth a try, and I will be back to try more.

Still a big burger. The cheeseburger was very tasty and wonderfully priced considering it being 2014. The fries were great, too. It's a small place. You order at the counter and then can sit down at one of two booths indoors. (It may have been three booths.) It gives meaning to the term "hole in the wall." We decided we'd get ours t go next time and go to the nearby riverwalk to eat at a bench. No fountain drinks, since it's a deli. You get a can drink out of the cooler. We each got two cans though and drank them with the meal. I hope this place sticks around. I believe it opened in November 2024. And hopefully the owners can move to a more user-friendly location.

This place is special. I love the old diner vibe (larger than a traditional diner but my statement…read morestill stands). The service could be hit or miss. You having a server or not all depends on how busy it is that day. The food is fairly consistent and you know how good it'll be every time you go. Side note: the Cannoli was actually really good. I came in a few minutes after 10:00 a.m., the time they open, and while I don't expect a restaurant to be in tip-top shape the second they open, they did not seem at all ready for the day or to accept customers. I stood at the front for a few awkward moments before asking one of the hostesses if I was supposed to seat myself, when she replied "oh no, I'll seat you", and then led me to one of the nearby tables. Somewhat grossly, the tablecloth on the table I was seated at was covered with coffee stains from previous guests, which was kind of unsettling. I then asked for a cup of coffee, and was told that there wasn't any ready, and that I would need to wait a few minutes. Again, not a huge deal, but I would expect a breakfast restaurant to have some coffee ready by the time that they open. Second, when perusing the menu, I was not particularly impressed by their "limited breakfast" options, nor anything on their regular menu. I decided to go with a simple hot dog, and substituted the offered sides with an order of French fries, which ridiculously cost me almost $4 extra. In addition, my hot dog was fine, but nothing exceptional, and definitely not better than one I could've gotten at Costco for a markedly cheaper price. The one (1) bright spot was that the fries were very good, and of higher quality than most other fries I've gotten at similar restaurants. Finally, my server was nice enough, but a little rough around the edges and not overly attentive. In addition, the ambiance was pretty basic, with nothing about it that really stuck out. All-in-all, I wouldn't be adverse to returning to DiPratos on a Saturday or Sunday to try their breakfast menu, but I won't be coming back during the week, and wouldn't really recommend that anybody else do so either.
