Let me start off by saying the sandwiches were great. But the wait was outrageous. It was a Sunday at 1:15. They were giving a clinic on poor management and not managing bottlenecks. Probably waited 20 minutes just to place our order. Watched 5 different people walk out at different times without ordering. The person on the slicer, let's just pretend she was some sort of manager, was grossly slow at slicing, frequently stopping to talk to the other employees, and walking away from the slicer at times for god knows what reasons. And she was making all sorts of statements under her breadth to express her displeasure. Wow... I had no idea it was possible to screw up an Italian sandwich as bad as this place. I have had a few classic turkey sandwiches prior from Jersey Mikes and they were nothing fancy but it's just turkey. When I ordered what is considered in my mind one of the best invented sandwiches, I was at a loss for words for how terribly it was prepared. The bread was soggy the minute I unwrapped it. It's as if the cap of every condiment they used broke off and they just shrugged and said meh who cares. YOUR CUSTOMER CARES. This jersey mikes has consistently been dirty every time I come by. Napkins and dropped toppings all over the floor that they try to kit to the sides. Trash can next to the patio full to the brim with trash falling out. My husband even told them the floors were really dirty but they don't change nor care. When I got home and opened the sandwich, I found it was made wrong to no surprise. Probably the worst customer service that I have received from any fast food chain. Ordered a sub with gluten free bread for delivery. After ordering the sub the employees forgot to inform us that there was not a gluten free option available today. Instead of calling and disputing the issue we were sent the insides of a sub sandwich....To my knowledge a sandwich includes bread, otherwise it is just a salad. You would think someone would have been decent enough to inform us there just wasn't going to be bread. Instead we paid $40 for a damn salad, that's pretty freaking ridiculous. I inform everyone that orders here to make sure you call, because if you don't you might not get anything that you ordered. *Below is a picture of what I tried to eat, but is actually terrible as well. First time going to a Jersey Mike's that I ever felt scammed. I always order a #11 and ask for turkey instead of ham. This was my first time visiting this location and it will definitely be my last. The woman there took my order (I think she was the manager), made my sandwich, and then when I put in my phone number for points she asked if I wanted to pay with my points. Then she said I'd have to pay $1.87 for the extra meat separately. Umm.... what extra meat? She then went on to say that since turkey costs more than ham she would have to charge me for extra meat. Well what about the cost of the ham that I wasn't getting? She said she didn't have a way to deduct that. I've been to probably more than 30 Jersey Mike's in the last 10 years (and this is the only sandwich I order) and not once have I ever been charged extra meat. And the fact that she neglected to mention this until she realized she couldn't just sneak it on the order. SUPER SCAM!! I understand that the turkey might cost more, but it should be rung up as an up-charge, not extra, since she is getting to keep the cost of the meat I wasn't getting. Also, you are supposed to tell the person ordering that your are going to charge them extra, if she had I might have either kept the ham instead of the turkey or gotten both since I was going to be charged for both anyway. I've worked in the food industry for a long time and not once did I ever neglect to mention that something someone ordered would cost extra. We decided to eat elsewhere because she was so rude about it. After we walked out, she pulled her mask down and was talking to the employee without her mask on at all! Major props for freshly slicing my sandwich meat upon ordering! The bread is good, the meat is good, and the toppings are fresh. Pricing is on the high side so this is a bit of a sandwich "splurge". When I was there, the person doing the condiments put a ton of oil and red wine vinegar on it to the point there was a pool when she picked it up. Best subs I've ever had in Colorado- we ordered the meatball sub and the Philly cheesesteak - I can't wait to try other subs- I am really impressed with this sandwich shop and location- will definitely order again from here- might even stop by in person- delicious! I come to this location approximately once a week for lunch. Being from Philadelphia, its nice to find a sandwich shop that prepares sandwiches closely mimicking where I grew up. This is why, after 4 years of living in Lone Tree and coming to the location in Heritage Hills, I am surprised to be met with any level of push back regarding how I prefer my bread to be cut. Hoagie style is a style known to both the east coast and the Jersey Mikes brand (hot sandwiches) and so it just baffles me to have a staff member make it a point to tell me that my request couldn't be met moving forward and that this was a one time thing. The team member was nasty in her communication and the way she dealt with my wife and I. This level of discrimination is completely unacceptable. It is not appreciated and should be acknowledged by corporate as a completely disgusting display of customer service and below what the brand should be offering as a consumer experience. read more
