Friendly service and delicious sub that puts other nearby sandwich shops to shame! The employees were friendly (though a bit slow) and the food was fresh and flavorful. I went in hungry and a medium (8 inch) sub hit the spot. They have a few tables on the sidewalk in front, and I enjoyed eating outside on a sunny day. The only reason for the four stars instead of five is because it took a very long time to prepare our sandwiches when it wasn't very busy. At peak time there were a handful of customers inside. We ordered the steak and cheese sandwich. For $10 we can share a sandwich and it comes with a pickles. There are plenty of seats inside as it was windy as h out. The wait wasn't that long a hood 10 minutes . We didn't eat inside and took it to go. Customer service was average . The tables inside looked clean. But I didn't get a achance to check out the bathrooms if they were clean or not. That's a deal breaker for me. All and all 4 stars could use improvement. read more

I rarely order subs for lunch, but it happens to be close to the hospital and that's where I need to go. Decided to stop by firehouse subs today. I was greeted by two gentlemen! Both of them lovely. I was provided great service. I told them I needed to take the food to the hospital, so they packed it up in a bag for me to make it easier to carry. The only reason I'm giving you a one is because I can't give you a zero. A manager named Richard, took a young man off the schedule after only 6 hours in the store. Then the manager ducked the calls of the young man until they transferred him to another store under the auspices of too many people in training. Only to find out later, after being told he'd be on the schedule at the new place, the transferring manager Richard had called the receiving manager to say the young man looked suspicious and he couldn't put his finger on why. I'll tell you why, the young man is 6'1" and black, this is the only suspicious thing about this young man. You need to relieve this manager, the GM and franchisee of the positions. Unfortunately, this is the last time we are eating at Firehouse Subs. This place has gone way downhill in the last 5 years or so. And not just specific locations, we've been to several in CO and have had poor experiences at each. The sizes of the sandwiches have gotten smaller, but the prices have hiked way up. They take forever to assemble your sandwich. Even if you're the only ones in the restaurant. And finally, the quality isn't what it used to be. I tried the Pork & Slaw sandwich this time and it was inedible. The pork wasn't hot or cold, which was weird and off putting. The pork also didn't have any sauce on it and tons of fat. Couldn't eat it. So on top of paying way too much, I left extremely hungry and dissatisfied. Bummer. read more

This firehouse subs is very bright. Each time I've gone the lighting from the sun is so bright from the West I feel like I'm in a fishbowl. Other than lighting, the parking is great, never an issue. I am completely disappointed in the food i received this evening. I have been coming to firehouse subs for 24 years. This will be last time I give my money to this establishment. I ordered 3 meatball subs and asked for pickles, i received nothing. The subs where dry and had no sauce, i had open a sauce and fix all the garbage they gave me at home. My sub wasn't even actually a meatball sub, it was chicken meatballs. You have to be absolutely stupid to screw something up so simple. When you keep raising your prices and give out horrible food, why would anyone return? Your employees also never changed their gloves after handling money, and touching the register. The health department should pay a visit to this place. read more

I have been eyeing this place ever since my last 5 guys experience (it is right next door). It sits right off Lincoln near Yosemite where they have built all those shops near the ginormous Super Target. The good: - Its friendly! They greet every person with a loud "Welcome to the Firehouse"! in unison. Plus the kiddos had little plastic firehats on - cute freebie. - Subs are fresh and warm (they mostly do hot subs). - They have every type of hot sauce on the planet (exaggeration) for your condiment needs! The So-So: - The "welcome" greeting gets really old at lunch time after you hear it 10 times. - They were really slow, it took like 10m to get my sandwich with only 2 people ahead of me and then they forgot to make it to go (so it took even longer). Maybe it is because they are heated? No idea, but if it was any busier it would have sucked. I had the Hook & Ladder Fully Loaded (turkey, ham, Monterey Jack & loaded complete with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a dill spear on the side). It was great and I love that they serve it warm. The bread was nice and soft and the pickle was really garlicky! I spent about $6+change for a medium which isn't cheap, but doesn't strike me as expensive either. It makes a good lunch spot - if I have the time to wait! read more

I am a sucker for a good sandwich. With Firehouse being up the road from my job and the convenient online ordering system this place makes for a good place for my sandwich fix. I absolutely love the Turkey Bacon Ranch it awesome! Simple but great. My coworker always gets the Hook and Ladder which I can say always looks pretty tasty. They give you a pickle spear with each sandwich. I'm not a huge fan of pickles, but every now and again I will go for it and the ones they have are good! Firehouse also has the Coke Freestyle soda machine. It gives you tons of options and ways to customize your beverage experience. The other great thing is if you do eat in the restaurant they have a whole array of hot sauces at the counter for you to try. The staff at Firehouse is overall very friendly and accommodating. I think my only drawback is that they are required to greet you with, "welcome to Firehouse!" when you walk-in. More often than not this just comes off forced. read more

I have visited this location 3 times in the last two months as I do like the brand, however this location has worsened with each visit. Today, I walked in and was greeted with "it'll be at least 20 minutes wait." I don't mind waiting for a good sandwich, but a simple hello and then explaining you're a bit busy is fine. I saw at least ten people leave, which should be alarming to any business owner. After I received my order it was made incorrectly and I was told "we're out of bacon and don't have soup here" even though I paid an up charge for both. I settled for the Mac and cheese which took an extra 30 minutes to come out to me, and I had finished my entire meal by this point. I understand being busy as I work in a customer facing field myself, however this staff needs some reorientation and the proper tools to succeed, otherwise I don't feel this franchise will be there much longer. read more

Poor customer service!! Just be happy you're working employee that was so rude today. I ordered and paid online for a take out order today for lunch. I pulled up and read their sign to call for curbside bring out. Great I thought, that's nice! But...The guy came out, I said "thank you!" and not one word was spoken to me. Although we just went in to order to go, I still lived the environment fully decorated and the friendly customer service. As a first time mom, I had to get pictures of my little guy inside the restaurant and they even had fireman helmets available for the kiddos! I love firehouse especially the hook and ladder sandwich and chopped salad! It just seems that every time I come to this location I get a different salad. Once I got a salad that wasn't even chopped. Seriously the slice meat was laid on top of the lettuce, the veggies were still whole and I had to cut up my own meat in a chopped salad. I decided to give them another shot. So the last time that I went I didn't get a lot lettuce, it was cheese, meat, and some bell peppers. I can't seem to get the same salad that I get at other locations. read more

Sad to do it, but Firehouse failed miserably recently and guaranteed I will never go there again. You can go there, and it won't be the worst food/experience, but it will never be the best either. There is nothing exceptional about this place. I had done a prepaid online order for pick up the next day for my office. Realized a few hours after I ordered that I needed to cancel two of the sandwiches. I called the store to inquire how to modify or cancel the online order, and after being rudely spoken to and told that no one who worked there knew how, I was hung up on. To be fair, after I complained to their customer service department, I did ultimately end up speaking to the general manager. But the only thing she did was apologize, I had already spoken to a store manager the next morning who was in fact able to cancel my order. The GM calling was more of a PR move than an actual move to make the situation better; appreciated but it kind of fell flat. When we picked up our sandwiches, they offered a free sub card as a peace offering. Hey thanks. Problem was when we got our sandwiches back to the office they had managed to ignore all instructions to leave off certain items like onions from all the sandwiches as requested. That was the final straw. Don't give me such an incredibly bad experience then compound it was incorrectly made food. Oh, and I tried their under 500 calorie siracha beef sandwich, instead of my normal meatball sub, and it was pretty gnarly. The quality of the roast beef was horrible: chewy and fatty. I'm shocked this place doesn't have 4.5 to 5 stars. I was trying to talk my girlfriend into going to Five Guys and she said she wanted to go get a sub. I wanted to be with her so we came here. This was maybe two months ago, and we have been back about 10 times. The meat melts in your mouth, soda machine is awesome, and the staff is always very friendly. I highly recommend going here. I've been here on several separate occasions over the past year and each occasion was not a good experience. The food is on par with Firehouse, if you've had it. If not, I consider it slightly better than Quiznos. This particular Firehouse has the slowest service I've ever had at any sandwich place. My most recent visit took just over 5 minutes to get a sandwich. There were 4 people working and I was the only customer. How? Each person stood in a spot and just stood there waiting on the other. I'm familiar with assembly lines - I worked in fast food. One guy walked snail's pace between the meat cooker and the bar, before he slowly opened a bag, placed it down, and proceeded to wrap a sandwich before putting it in the bag. Slowly. I've never witnessed anyone move this slow in a restaurant. The time before that, 4 people were chatting while one person placed my order and prepared the sandwich. Again, roughly 5 minutes. My longest experience was 45 minutes when there was 5 people working on 6 customers in front of me. I clocked it, so I'm not exaggerating. Okay, I get it, quality is everything here. I've been to a few Fireplace locations, but none of them were this slow. I appreciate the manager replying to our reviews on Yelp, but we expect results, not apologies. Just fix it. This review is directed more towards the managing staff and less towards the Firehouse chain or customers. I absolutely love Firehouse and frequently place large orders (no more than five sandwiches) for my office at lunch. Today was the first day I used the online system, and I was disappointed in the aftermath. I went to pick up the sandwiches I had paid for online and was in a bit of a rush (hence the pre-ordering). They had left out one of the sandwiches and told me I didn't order it until I showed them the receipt I had printed out that stated otherwise. I was then asked to pay for the $50 a second time, and still can't believe the look I got from the girl behind the counter when I wouldn't give her my CC. Not sure if this is an issue with the online ordering system or an internal problem. It should be addressed. Not once did I get an apology for having to wait 15 extra minutes for a to-go order placed an hour earlier. This is obviously not a big enough complaint for me to stop using Firehouse - I have never had a bad interaction at this branch otherwise - but I want to managing staff to realize that this business is in the service industry. It is the duty of the hiring staff to bring employees on that will create pleasant interactions with the customers as opposed to telling them they are wrong and shooting them dirty looks. Shape up or you may just start to lose customers to the Park Meadows branch. read more
