Our sandwiches were very good. It's the staff! I told the guy putting on the toppings no juice, salt. WHAT did he do starting put the juice on then they mixed the bread up. One sandwich had Rosemary and the other sandwich plain white. The check out gal put the wrong numbers on the bags. Really bad customer service on Thursday 5/21 along with lots of bad attitude. Not worth calling the GM. However the staff needs to pay attention to what the customer is telling you. read more

I was craving a sub after finishing a tiring but rewarding lifting session and I decided to order from this location. I got the Club Supreme and had it as is with mayo and mustard. It was exactly what I was looking for! There wasn't too much condiments and the meat/cheese to bun ratio was right on! I was impressed with the quality for being a chain! I usually prefer to support local restaurants but I always wanted to try Mikes after hearing it was good. The only reason for 4 stars is my bread was a bit too dry for my liking. It wasnt flaking or anything like that but I ordered it around 1pm so it's not like it was the end of the day. Make sure y'all got them fresh buns and we will be all good! I made my first ever visit to Jersey Mike's in Maplewood today. I ordered the Italian Classic cold sub on parmesan rosemary bread. Having never been there before, I asked for information about their sandwiches, and the staff were really helpful at explaining everything. The sub was great - I especially love the way they slice the meats in front of you, and their classic approach (they call it Mike's way) adding oil, vinegar and seasonings made for a delicious sandwich. Service is a little slow, but the subs are pretty dang good! The cold subs, made Mike's way, are so good. The hot cheese steaks are amazing, as well! The biggest problem I experience is trying to decide between the two! My recommendation: Get the #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak and add Chipotle Mayo. YUM! read more

I can't believe I keep going back to this place. The service horrible. Last time I watched a worker yell at a customer because she asked a question. The sandwiches are usually good, but not so today. $14.41 for a sandwich should have more than little bits of bacon on it. 2nd in line. 20 minutes and still haven't got the 2 sandwiches I ordered. Total and complete confusion. Zero organization. I hate them already. Good luck staying open donkeys. Ok. Got home and ate my chipotle cheese steak. I will have to say it's pretty darn tasty. For this reason I bumped my original 1 star rating to a 2. I guess I will cut them a little slack this time because they are pretty new. I will give then another chance in a couple of weeks. If the service improves, I will up the stars to a 3. I have been here twice since they opened in March. First time within a few days of opening. Second time in April. I got cold subs on these visits. A #5 Super Sub and a #10 Tuna. I got each as a combo, so chips and beverage also. Do not have a receipt, so can't remember precisely what I paid. Looking at current menu prices, looks like $10.22. Pretty normal pricing for a freshly made sandwich, but I still get irritated at the $2.59 + tx for beverage and chips. That's my fault for not being prepared and either doing without or supply them on my own. I think the first visit was a bit discouraging, because of the lack of quickness of preparing my order. No ding though as I am an understanding person. The first few weeks of a new operation opening, can be confusing for all. It's not that likely that the employees get to work in an existing store for a month or 2 to learn the ropes of how this place will operate. The second visit was better, but still needs improvement. What is most discouraging for me though, is my recent Dr. visit determined it is best for me to give up bread, pasta, rice, processed meats, eggs, alcohol, sex and chocolate. What I have left to enjoy are Salads, Vegetables and oatmeal. Not an exciting diet. I do have fresh meats, (chicken and pork), seasoned and cooked by me. Whether I should or not, is another question. But I need to enjoy some things. My custom diet will let me cheat 2-3 days per month. I only cheated twice this month, plus a planned cheat for tomorrow. Can't cheat until July now. And 2 of those are already scheduled. On the plus side, I can spend $5.00 or so a day on food. Plus the $12.00 for meds. Is something out of whack here? With only 2-3 days a month to enjoy whatever, there are many other places around town to spend my $$$. Jersey Mike's is on the list, but it might be a while. I love this place I don't know what these other reviews are talking about . 10 dollares for a sub? The subs are 6.75 for a regular or 12 for a super large. I ordered 3 subs and was in and out of there in 5 minutes. The staff was friendly and nice and the resturant was clean. I also paid with a credit card and at no time did it ask me to tip the staff. They do have a tip jar on the counter and I like to tip so I do. I also noticed all the people that left bad reviews only have one review. Today was my first time ordering from this location I usually go to the St Anthony location and the service and food is amazing as well as the cleanliness of the store. However NOT at this location first thing walking in three employees working on sandwiches and two possible Managers standing directly behind all three employees arms crossed leaning up against the back counter having a chat session giving no guidance to employees making sandwiches and there were many sandwiches to be made along with customers waiting in line to order. The kid shaving the meat did not put the right amount of meat and also put turkey instead of ham the girl doing the toppings was slower than a sloth and remind you miss manager is leaning on the back counter arms crossed and didn't lift her finger to help. I had "the original Italian" sub, I think the service could have been better (like the workers actually giving their customers their orders in the order given and not to start on the next customer until the first customer has their sandwhich(s)and the cashier should take the initiative to asked the customer if they would want a chip bag and a drink and what size) and the sandwhich could have been made a bit different (putting the red wine vinegrete and olive oil on the bread instead of putting it on the meat where it would run off, but not have too Much red wine vinegrete or olive oil so the sandwhich is drowned in it). read more

I ate at this astablishment today and I'm quite upset at not only the wait, but the price as well. The bill would've been around $44 for four people if not for the three coupons we possessed. That wouldn't have been so bad if not for the poor quality of food presented to us at a crawling pace. I could get food at a much better quality at places like McDonalds or Burger King. At least then would I have spent my money well. My sandwich was drenched in sauce to the point where all I could taste was that sauce. It was very soggy as well. First time at this franchise. I asked a question on the sizes of the bread choices. I was the only person in line. The man behind the counter had such a rude attitude. He took out a loaf of bread and pounded it on the counter. Started laughing at me like a jerk. His name is Chris and he was the manager. Unbelievable customer service. The other manager was sitting in the store oblivious to what was going on. The food wasn't that great and I will NEVER step foot in this sub shop again in Maplewood. Walk in and the whole front window is replaced with plywood. I ordered a baja burrito. Which the menu said chicken, lettuce, melted cheese and salsa. My burrito was 75percent lettuce , chunks(not shredded) chicken and pace salsa. I know pace trust me. Proabobly one of the most bland things I ate. Like literally picture it. Mediocre food at high prices. Prices would be fine if they could warm a sub for you like any other sandwhich place would. Wanted to get a mini sub warmed up. Nope. But do thet offer a mini sub version for their strictly hot subs? Nope. So they have the ability to warm a sub, but won't unless it's supposed to be. So what that tells me is it must be pre made and kept in a warmer. When we received the warm sub, it was soggy and soaked with sauce. What a mess! Oh and speaking of mess, there wasn't a clean table and napkins were empty. The floor was a disgrace all around. The bathroom was dirty too. They were rude and short with me when asking questions about the subs. It was my first time there. Definitely my last. There are plenty of workers here and it certainly isn't busy. We ordered a large order for our staff meeting. Meeting from 12-1pm. 12:20pm still no delivery. Was told they are on their way. 12:35pm, was told they had already delivered the order.(Which we never received) They said they came to our office. Which they never came.
