Our first time visiting a Jersey Mike's Subs and we are glad this location was our choice of visit. We had a positive experience and will definitely visit them again when we're in the area! We dropped by around on a Saturday at 3:30pm, and somehow it was extremely busy despite it being past the lunch rush. There were three customers ahead of us and two more after us. The crew was fully staffed, 1 cook, 1 meat/cheese slicer, 1 sandwich preparer, and 1 cashier. The staffa are all efficient, and quick to get customers in and out with their sandwiches. The owners must be proud of their staffs, I am impressed! Restaurant is very clean, spacious, and there are plenty of parking. Great selections of sandwiches in various sizes, and there are multiple veggies opts too. I enjoyed my tuna sub, especially with my additional ingredients of Swiss cheese and portabello mushrooms. Go to ShopRite and have them make you your favorite sandwich, wrap or salad. The sand wich selection is great and always fresh. They always put plenty of meats on your sandwich. Unlike jersey Mikes which I feel up charges on their sandwiches and chintzes on the amount of meat they give you. So go to Mikes if you want a bread sandwich or ShopRite for the better sandwich. Horrible service!!! Lost a good customer!!! This review is for this location and it's service only. Every time I come in, which is multiple times a week, this place is staffed with kids. There is nothing wrong with kids working summer jobs but at least train them. This place is setting them up to fail. Walked in, in the morning everyone is just chilling in the back, not one person up front to even say we will be right with you, or please wait. So I hand around because I'm hungry, I hear and see people in the back and they see me, nothing. I guess the deli next door will have to feed me today and every other day from now on!!! Have been to the Morganville location on several occasions and have never felt satisfied. Not sure if it's the slow service, skimpy portions or cleanliness; maybe a combination of all three. Prefer the Spotswood and Middletown ones. Went there last night because we were in the area and it was Special Olympic night were 100% of proceeds go to that organization. We arrived and there was a small line. A young lady came it and said there would be a short wait because they ran out of bread and some was in the oven but would be out soon. We waited and they filled phone/app orders while integrating in-line customers. Only bread available was white and Parmesan cheese bread. Placed our order and because the bread was still hot, it didn't slice well and tore up the bread versus cutting as well as bread being squished while cutting. During the step were you add your condiments, team member was asked a question and he stopped what he was doing a walked away to help the other person. Don't remember question but it was simple and didn't need two people to handle it. He came back a few minutes later and completed our order. While checking out, the young man didn't know how to ring something up so he just put something similar in as our item. Place needs adult supervision in the evenings. It was like the inmates running the asylum. Prep area was covered with food. Member kept scraping it off the cutting board but never cleaned it. When another member was restocking condiments; instead of taking the old container out, putting the new one in and putting the old on top; he just poured new over the old making the stuff on the bottom older and more susceptible to going bad and making someone sick. All counters were covered with food and/or food particles. The floor behind the counter was atrocious. The food and garbage was ankle deep that they were walking on and through. I completely understand it was a promotion day and they were busy, but the day shift should have been baking bread all day to keep up with supply and demand for the later shifts. The evening shift should have been baking too seeing how fast supplies were dwindling. There's no excuse for the poor sanitary conditions in the food prep areas and floor. I went in at 8pm and ordered only two subs. Their hours say they close at 9, yet when i walked in everyone was cleaning up already. There was nothing out for toppings, they had it on the other counter and were wrapping up the meats. The cashier was very nice but the other one working was noticeably annoyed and mad. There should be no reason for a worker to curse under their breath, throw things around and make me or anyone feel like they don't want my business. I've been eating subs from here for a while. Today and my last experience was poor and thus my one star. Todays sandwich on rosemary bread, which was my bread of choice, was drenched in oil. My hands became so greasy just by picking up the sub, and I think this is why I feel I'll after eating as I did the last time. Food is good but I've had this problem multiple times where when I order on a specific type of bread it doesn't come on the right bread. Today I ordered a giant 43 on the rosemary Parmesan bread and it came on white, which is a little disappointing. If you've never been to a Jersey Mike's think if it as a nicer version of Subway. This location is always clean and the staff is friendly. The cold cuts are not pre-sliced like Subway. This is a great option for a quick, relatively cheap lunch. read more

Your tuna used to not contain celery. Being allergic, I was sad to see that you have changed this and added celery to the tuna. In addition I always get Gluten Free Bread as I have a Wheat Allergy and I always ask for it to be toasted, however I have been told by several of your staff that you no longer toast bread. Warning!!!! The Sub in a Tub had been great but they now use Styrofoam instead of plastic containers and the salad turns to MUSH!
