I always came here when it was Double D, I am curious if it's the same owners, because I know they are/were affiliated with Lasola in Normandy Beach as well. Stopped in today first time in a while for a brick oven loaf, which was phenomenal. Asked the girl for a few gingerbread man cookies and she said Happy Easter and gave them to me for free which was not at all necessary, but so nice! They have Boars Head cold cuts which is always a sign of a good deli to me. read more

I "slept on" this spot for a while and deeply regret it. Also, it continues to get better as time goes on. We love their roasted red peppers, mozz, fresh baked bread and their bakery treats. This used to be called Double D's Catering, and my review is based on a takeout order for late lunch. I gave 4 stars because I really liked the flavors of the "disco fries" my husband and daughter both really loved their sandwiches they both kept saying how much they love the bread. My daughter did complain that her sandwich lacked the roasted peppers she was expecting but my husband's sandwich had plenty. I will have to mention we were missing an entire sandwich, my husband and daughter had to go back for it. The Cuban panini I ordered had its pros and cons, the roast pork was dry and tasted gamey which was very off putting, but when I picked the roast pork out leaving just the ham with everything else it tasted fine. Would I go there again yes for sure I just won't be ordering the Cuban. read more

I was in the area and looking for a bite to eat. After reading some yelp reviews about Aiello's I decided to try it out. The store has a small parking lot out front and the inside has Italian groceries, baked goods, meats and a deli area with prepared food and cold cuts. The sandwiches I ordered were excellent. The bread was outstanding...... not sure if it was made in house or not ( they had a small baked goods area in the store) but it was fresh and crispy. The cold cut's were excellent also. Great store that I'd come back to if I was in the area. read more

Stand alone store... Someone in here mentioned about coming in from 516 North. You can't turn left. Go past the entrance and enter by the strip mall next store then just turn around. Came in for lunch and ordered two panini's. They have about 20 on the menu. She had #38. It was called Champagnolo. With grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, creamy pesto dressing and baby greens. I went for the #25 Viva Napoli. That had breaded chicken cutlet with arugula, shaved parmigiano cheese, and sundried tomato pesto. Portions are very large for those paninis. Left overs from lunch is a rarity. Cost with a side of potato salad & drinks $32. I'm certainly glad that I found this place. As good Italian delis are hard to find around here. I got an Italian sub (Godfather) that was so good I ate lunch from here everyday for a week. Unfortunately, the Italian sub was the best thing I got. The egg salad sandwich was the worst thing I got- really need to avoid that. I wanted a meatball parm on the same bread they used for the Italian sub, but the only option was a panini. So weird. The good news is the meatballs were delicious. The reuben was not so good- I could hardly taste the 1000 island, and the Cuban was all wrong. The honey mustard I requested on the turkey sandwich was watery, and I had to add my own. Like I said, the Italian sub was the best. The bread is amazing. Even though I had a few not so great sandwiches, the good ones were so good I gotta go 4 stars here. read more

Worst customer service ever. They gave my sandwich to the wrong person, and after the person returned it (visibly annoyed) they tried to give it to me. I explained I was not comfortable eating the sandwich since she had left the store with it. The woman behind the counter kept insisting it was fine. Aiellos is a local high quality deli and caterer. And a great spot for breakfast. Lots of places in Old bridge are busy for breakfast so we tried this one day and were surprised how good it was. Pork roll or bacon egg sandwiches, french toast, are well made and just right. read more

Not to good I was in search of an Italian market with lots of specialty items imported on the shelves. They were kinda empty, I found chips a hoy on market shelf so I was not expecting to find what I wanted. Having never been here I bought a peice of the eggplant parm and a frozen tiramisu The eggplant Parmesan was not breaded It really didn't have a good flavor And the tiramisu had ice visible on the top which I knew was freezer burn. I started to eat it anyway and it was absolutely flavorless Couldn't taste espresso or choc power Disappointed. Sorry but you'll have to do a lot better Waste of money read more

Customer service is very poor. I was given a $50 gift card with the cash register receipt. When I went to use it they said it was only good for $25 dollars but when they tried to look it up in their log of gift cards it was never recorded. They made me wait 31 minutes only to yell at me in a full store and refuse to give me back the receipt or gift card. I will vote with my feet and not return. read more

Was so looking forward to trying there pizza ... Was good , we got the 2 scilians ... again good But honestly very expensive for 6 pieces of pizza . Its about 4.00 per square... Although I love the old Double D staff that remains, this place has gone down the drain since Aiello's took over. I have lived in Old Bridge for 28 years and have remained a loyal customer since Aiello's took, but twice in the past week I have gone in to pick up my morning bagel and the order has been wrong both times. Last Friday, I called ahead my order, I got my order and went to work only to open up my bag and have the wrong order. I thought "ok no problem, mistakes happen." A week later, I called ahead the same order and I pick it up, get to work up and open it up to find a roll with some meat and cheese and I can't eat cheese & not at all what I ordered. Waste of money and I was stuck without breakfast both days. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of service and will considering other establishments in the area for my morning breakfast and deli meats. read more

This review should be higher because I have not been disappointed with the food , that is a usually very good.! Delicious chicken cutlets , salads etc Fresh cold cuts , appetizers like fried ravioli and different type egg rolls, prepared dishes in deli case , real good! But God forbid you come in any time after 630 you feel the resentment from a resigned deli staff on they may be stuck helping you. ( they close at 7). I stop here after work to get a quick dinner and cold cuts for next day and they seem to usually start wrapping deli case up soon after 6 ( big flurry of activity wrapping up) , by 630 all seems to be wrapped up, I get it I was in the restaurant business for years and you don't like those people coming in close to closing time but you have to fake it , and just be fine with removing the Saran Wrap etc I am not talking about 655 it's 630 to 640 maybe sometimes 645 I am coming in. I literally walked out last time I came in around 645 because the girl seemed so aggravated (she let it be known not verbally ) when I walked in and now I don't bother and go somewhere else .
