I think this place suffers from being next door to Chipotle; a place, I believe, is guilty of sucking all flavor from any type of comestible. The "Rosemary Parmesan" bread option sounds yummy, but had a taste/aroma oddly reminiscent of cleaning products. It was the rosemary--no foreign contamination. The cold cuts and veggies inside were a bit skimpy, and didn't taste like much. The dressing was heavy on one side of the sandwich and non-existent on the other. Not horrible, but not fab either. Going to stick with Subway (which isn't much better) and Potbelly for the drive-through Subs. I hate to recommend Wal-Mart for ANYTHING, but they actually have good subs near the front door on the market side-better than the chains mentioned here... read more

This is only about the Route 34 Oswego shop. This place has been so consistent- in good quality sandwiches, and in very bad customer service. I eat gluten free, so I love that they have a gluten free roll for sandwiches- not just regular g-f bread, but the big roll. However, I have had 3, yes 3 times when they didn't mark which was the g-f sandwich! When you have other similar or same non g-f sandwiches in your order that's been delivered, this is a problem. I've called, and each time they were very uncaring, to the point of rude when I pressed the issue that I couldn't eat my sandwich because I didn't know which one was g-f. They would not deliver a new one- 'can't make that happen.' They refunded the price of the sandwich, but I still couldn't eat my dinner. It's great that they have g-f rolls- really great. But their workers have no compassion or knowledge about gluten issues. This is obvious from not marking the sandwiches to the rude responses when the issues come up. I will not return to this shop after giving them 3 chances. I've discovered a different one not much further away. I am hoping this review inspires the management at this Jersey Mike's to properly train their employees- all of them - about the dangers of gluten to those who are allergic, and how to mark a g-f sandwich. read more

I made an order it was a reward I earned from being a loyal customer. So it didn't cost anything. I went into the store was greeted they had plenty of opportunity to tell me that my sandwich was not made right cause they ran out of the only bread I will eat so. When they didn't tell me to the trip back to the store in total having to go back to the house 45minutes it was a mobile order everything is written for them they have my phone number so they could call me to tell me they ran out of the bread. But instead the staff decided to waste my time. The manager gal told me they ran out and they don't have it anymore. Then as I waited for the manager to throw away the sandwich. As I was waiting another staff member was offering the rosemary bread but they'd have to wait. But no one offered me this fresh out of the oven bread? So it is good enough for others but not good for the guy that is getting a free sandwich. So it IS about getting a sandwich for free and this manager gal was trying to prevent me from having the sandwich I wanted. If she knew anything about customer service I would have waited the 15 minutes they were telling other guests but I guess other guess are more importance to loyal guests that earned something for free. So now instead of making it right this manager just caused me to never go to here again. I don't need to be lead on to some point system only to be cheated by some so called manager that couldn't have made me aware that the sandwich was not what I ordered on the phone or when I went in the building and was greeted by the staff. Over all bad experience and if this didn't happen already this morning at a different shop, I have to relive this B.S. and waste 45 minutes of my time cause people can't read or make a call or comunicate to me about what had changed. read more

Used to be better , less meat and cheese but since Covid and inflation this seems to apply everywhere.

I came here and I ordered the regular tuna sub on rosemary bread. The tuna came out of a damn drawer, and it was mad wet. Like dripping water: I get that tuna is supposed to be water, but this was like atrocious. It's like somebody doused my sandwich in cloudy hotdog juice and then served it to me on a piece of parchment paper. I scarfed down two bites before I wrapped that thing up and threw it in the trash where it belongs. That impoverished drawer tuna is probably gonna go straight out of my back end the same way it was made in the first place. They probably got this meat straight from the flea market after three Taiwanese children from the Nike sweatshop hacked away at it. I'd rather eat a whole bottle of anchovies that were predigested by an elephant before I come back and eat that poverty cat food tuna. Customer service was pretty good though. 2/10. read more

Ordered through their app and after watching on the doordash tracker that 3 different drivers came and waited from 15-30 minutes each for my order and of course they all left when they were not preparing it. After over 1-1/2 hours my wife had to go there to find out they just ran out of bread. I tried calling several times prior to having to drive there but the phone was not accepting calls because they were busy! Now after about 2 hours of wasted time and my family starving we went to Jimmy John's. I don't understand how if I ordered through their app and paid why this place never in over an 1-1/2 hours didn't make my order. They ran out of bread while the third driver was leaving so they had plenty of time to prepare it. Instead they fulfilled all the walk-in customers before even attempting to make my order. To top it off this happend about 1-1/2 years ago at the same location when I ordered through the app and went to pick it up. I sat there and watched them fulfill 10-15 people without making my order then they ran out of bread that night as well and when I complained to the manager he started yelling at me! I've loved Jersey Mike's for a very long time. 1st in SOCAL & now IL. Every experience has been positive. I really want to try new things; but I always end up with the #9 "Mike's Way" no onions ... on white or wheat. From the guy who took my order (today @ the Oswego location) to the guy who made up the sandwich & the young teen who rang me up - everyone was very nice & quick to serve. Special kudos to the guy who puts all the sandwiches together ... the lady in front of me had multiple sandwiches; wanted them s certain way .. you know ... If anyone's wondering whatever happened to the Three Stooges, rest assured, they are alive and well. They work here at this Jersey Mikes. It's a shame for the Jersey Mikes franchise to have these people "work" here. Awful sandwich, drenched in oil and vinegar. When telling the sandwich maker that the oils was too much, his reply was you didn't tell me (that you wanted a normal sandwich) A complaint to the manager was made and he apologizes, but as we're sitting down eating our food, the sandwich guy continues to drench everybody else's sandwich, while working next to the manager who doesn't intervene. The second sandwich was a Philly cheese steak, which wasn't even put on the grill until we made it through the line and paid for our food. So here is my update to this place. Food is quite good but here comes the bad. Went here again and ordered a sandwich and a diet coke. Also had a coupon for a free sandwich I used. They charged me for the sandwich, and the soda only to find again they were out of diet soda...wth? They refunded me for the sandwich since I had a coupon and also the soda since they didn't have any diet. Great place, great staff, great times! Went in with the family and ordered a bunch of sandwiches for the first time. The food was excellent. While it took awhile to get to us, it didn't take THAT much longer than a subway or somewhere, and they slice the meat to order so I think it's worth the way. The sandwiches were big, well-portioned and sloppy like they should be. I hear some people on here complaining about the sandwiches being too sloppy, but I love it! You get messy because you get a lot of sandwiches. The staff was really nice and accommodating as well, they were short staffed but still did an awesome job and were very nice. We gave them a big tip. There was a really goofy kid named Elliot but he makes fire subs and does it right like a true playa. Tons of nice, cute girls work there too. I will start by saying that I love the food at this restaurant I've had the #9. Club supreme #13 original Italian #17 famous philly #56 big kahuna I've had all these sandwiches here and I've really enjoyed all of them but my favorite has to be the club supreme mikes way of course. I really like the way this place is set up compared to some of the other sub places I like the way they slice all the meats to order and that they have a flat top stop so hot sandwiches are actually cooked instead of just precooked and warmed when ordered. I would give this place a a 3.5 stars because despite how much I love the food the customer service is not that good at all. So this restaurant just starting popping up in our area a few years ago and so for them to be new to the area I would expect employees to be more helpful and enthusiastic about how the restaurant works and explain the menu better. read more

All but one of the tables were dirty, and I mean, mayo and lettuce stuck to the tables with dirty napkins on the ground beneath the tables, kind of dirty. Last time I disregard my inner voice from coming to this location or any other Jersey Mike's...to get the equivalent of a cold cut combo/BMT from Subway it'll cost you about $15 for a foot long here just, just for the sandwich, which is just crazy! I still paid close to $9 for my medium 6-8 inch sub with the same processed sliced meat that isn't any better or worse than other sub shops. The worst crime is having nothing unique or an identifiable signature flavor or sub offering. Toppings were very limited compared to let's say Subway, just 2 types of bread too. Service is particularly long with no efficiency systems in place to move orders along here. With chips, a soda and my sub, I was out $15 and then I get to checking out literally 15 minutes after I started with just 2 ppl ahead of me and the payment system asks if I want to add 15-25% gratuity to my final bill, seriously? I stopped on a whim hoping I'd find something to make me return or find some great quality sub sandwich offering, for it had been a while. Not only did I suffer a lack of flavor & satisfying flavor experience, my wallet hurt. It's not that $15 dollars is a lot to spend on meal, but for what I received, it was a total memorable ripoff, especially if is a sub shop and we are talking about a shop & franchise that cannot compete with Jimmy Johns, Mr. Submarine or dare I say even Subway is far more superior. We stopped through on a Friday afternoon and had quite an amusing experience. The food was good and the service was great. We ordered Philly steak sandwiches and they were very good. The wait was not long. My only issue is with the oil and vinegar they drown the sandwiches in. This was our first time here so we did not know what to expect. Rest assured we will return but will request none of that. The staff were extremely friendly and talkative with the customers. They are all, however, right out of the movie Dazed and Confused. I'm pretty sure reciting that movie verbatim is a prerequisite for employment here. Check this place out, it's not too pricey and the meats are really good. Smoke a fat one and go get in a debate about the current level of religious influence over our political policies and it's detrimental effects on society as a whole with one of the grill guys. I was in the store on 9/28/18 at 2:10pm. When the middle person (that puts the condiments on the sandwich) put my sandwich in the bag the bag ripped and my sandwich hit the floor. He quickly picked it up (stuffing the meat and insides back in with the wax paper) and looked me in the eyes and asked me if I wanted him to make me another sandwich. I stared at him in disbelief. The young lady at the register had to tell him that he needed to remake the sandwich. I found this to be incredibly rude and quite STUPID. I am out done. What if I missed the sandwich hit the floor? Would he have given it to me anyway? I assume so since he saw absolutely nothing wrong with offering it to me after he picked it up off of the FLOOR! I have been here a few times and overall I think it is very good. I normally get the Italian sub. I've noticed they dont use a lot of salami or pepperoni. They mostly use Capicola which is a spicy ham.....but it looks and tastes like regular ham. That would be my only complaint. read more
