It honestly breaks my heart to give this 2 star review. I love McAlister's menu, and everything is consistently delicious. But, it just takes too long. I work nearby, and we have put in group orders for years, and it's always kind of slow. Today took slow to the next level. I waited 20 minutes for a rapid pick up order. Let that sink in. Now, I realize that may not seem long to wait, but we're teachers, and had only 7 minutes to actually eat our food when I bought it back. Sadly, this will be our last order. Do not get soup from here. It was old/moldy at the bottom. Thankfully my daughter noticed the wrapping had dust/lint on it and smelled to soup before she ate it. I know they put a sign up stating they were under staffed but the Quality has diminished. read more

Tasted the Reuben and Italian club from McAlister. The Italian club was delicious. I only wish you could add Italian seasoning/oil on it. The Reuben was okay; was a little dry. It needed a little more dressing on it. Both sandwiches had enough meat for two people. You get a free side and pickle. Note: The staff could be friendlier. read more

First time at this location and I'm glad I made the stop. The store is clean and the employees are very attentive. I love deli sandwiches, and McAlister's Deli is one of my favorite deli's. I ordered a bowl of cheddar and broccoli soup and a club sandwich. I only eat ham and Turkey with my club. No bacon. Mayonnaise and honey mustard. Light lettuce and no tomatoes. I never eat all of my food, so even though my husband ordered Wing stop a few doors down, he ate the other half of my sandwich. It was really delicious. read more

McAlister's Deli is reminiscent of Panera Bread for me, except they bring the food to you. There are sandwiches, salads, soups, and you can choose your side. For my sandwich I ordered the McAlister's Club wrap. it was very small and looked a little depressing, but there was a sauce that seemed pretty good. Sandwiches are fairly expensive for what you get. If you want a side other than chips or broccoli, there is a pretty steep upcharge. To me, I just didn't feel like what was presented to me was worth the money. It was fine, but it wasn't great. At those prices, it should be great. They have more options for their kids meal. My daughter got the pizza. It was ok. The cheese was a little rubbery and the texture of the dough was a little off, but my daughter ate it anyway. Once nice thing, is the drinks are a decent size. They should be since they fill up the drinks behind the counter. Once again, the price just feels a little steep for what is being offered. The service is very slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and it still took about 20 minutes to get our food. It is a lot with a toddler and there were just sandwiches and a clearly microwaved pizza, so I am not sure why it took so long. Everyone was very nice though. Another place that says "Deli", but really ain't one. We had heard their potatoes were fab, and as Wife is a 'tater aficionado, we had to try it. Me? I can take or leave a baked potato. Big score for abbondanza. Now what they filled it full of, I'm not sure. Another tasteless sandwich from a corporate source. Italian lunchmeats are usually near the top of flavor. What happened here? There were lots of them on the sandwich, and a ton of veggies--This should have been a blockbuster. It wasn't. Unlike the sub joints, this wadn't a 12" sarnie wrapped up like a submarine. It was 2 6-inchers side-by-side in a foam clamshell. I et one, and saved the other for the next day. I was nonplussed over the distinct lack of flavor and hoped it would get better. It didn't. Don't get me wrong, the thing was fresh and prepared well, but it just didn't have any zotz. Who's the purveyor of their meats? Oscar Mayer? And don't jump down my back for casting that Chicago mainstay in a negative light. Old Oscar's wares are the lowest common denominator when it comes to lunchmeat-safe, conservative, not too highly spiced, nothing with much flair. Perfect for kids and timid eaters, bless their hearts. And that's not an insult by any means. But that stuff ain't for me. If you're going to put the word "deli" in your name, you should know what that means. Leave the word out if you're not going to bring flavor to the table. This location just opened and I was ecstatic to find out there would be a McAlister's near me. Today I came in for lunch and I ordered the BLT+Avocado sandwich with Mac and cheese as my side, along with their lemonade and they even threw in a pickle with my sandwich! The food was great which I was expecting, during my time living in Urbana-Champaign there's a McAlister's down there and I've heard great things about it yet, never got the chance to try it for myself. Well today that changed and I'm glad it did. This location has friendly staff, everyone was social distancing, the interior is nice, and business seemed to be booming! Obsessed! They have so many vegetarian options. I LOVE their vegetarian chili and get it on my potato every time. I have loved everything I have ordered here and their staff is always SO friendly and attentive. Due to covid my interactions have shifted to the drive through, but I have still experienced the same great service. This restaurant is great for the entire family because of their extensive menu. So excited for this restaurant to open up! I used to live near one in college and loved the sandwiches. I got half a sandwich and half nachos. Their grilled cheese was well-made, but the bread tasted a bit stale. The nachos were huge and made with rotel. There was a long wait time, but they do have an app and people using it appeared to get their food quickly. Looking forward to going back and trying the app next time! read more

Took my order quickly and then I sat for over 15 minutes waiting for a straight off the menu sandwich. Great food!!! Service was on point! Generous portions and good value. For a restaurant just opening they were well organized. Glad to have a McAllister open in my area. Their menu has such a variety. if I could write this zero stars I would. We have ordered from this store a number of times and every single time for delivery. There is not any portion of it. That is correct. I ordered nachos today with chili and cheese sauce. They sent me a dry box of taco chips and nothing else and when I called the store they tell me it's not their fault I ordered through the website for their restaurant, so who's fault is it and then the manager gets on the phone talks down to me and it's just it's not even worth going there anymore. I used to love it they used to be pretty good when when you get just a sandwich or just some soup everything is great but when you try to get anything, that's not just putting one thing together and delivering it they can't get it right. I will never suggest anyone go to this restaurant. This is the one in Montgomery I don't know about any of the other locations however, the one in Montgomery is really really bad. We ordered from McAlister's Deli today for delivery, and we're pretty disappointed in the quality of the food. Most of the food didn't have much taste. The mac and cheese, though creamy, was tasteless. It definitely seemed like quite a small portion for being a side. For it to be decently enjoyable, I had to add a bunch of hot sauce, my wife threw hers away. I got the New Yorker sandwich (corned beef, pastrami and brown mustard on marbled rye bread. The meat tasted bitter, and tasted like lower quality meat than Jewel. I can normally eat food even if I don't like it. I got through half the sandwich and couldn't finish the rest. My wife's club wrap was mediocre at best. The tortilla it was wrapped in was hard and tasted stale, she could only through half of the wrap. The meat terrible. We also got a bread bowl with soup (hoping we'd have left-overs). The bread was pretty bland, and the crust was hard to tear. The broccoli cheddar soup was bland. Tasted like it was out of a cheap pre-packed container from the local grocery store. Their website says "hand crafted" but it likely wasn't homemade. We're pretty disappointed with how the food from this location turned out. We went to the one in Charleston, SC a few years ago and remember that we loved it, so we were super excited to try it here. We ordered 2 Brookies (brownie and cookie), they gave us 2 brownies instead. The brownies were pretty bad as well. For what we spent on the meal, the quality was pretty poor. The quality of the food is worth less half of what we paid. The reason for the 2 stars is, after we called the restaurant to complain, they did offer us 1 free entree and dessert for the inconvenience. The manager attempted to rectify the issue. Bad enough the Mac & cheese was not filled to "at least" the top but it had be doctored up as it was bland.
