    Croque madame cross section

What a fantastic job Atrévete has done transforming this beautiful building into one of the best cafes in Aurora. I am really impressed with how much space there is and the variety of seating available. Whether you want to set up to get some studying/work done, meet for a one-on-one, or get together with a big group there is no shortage of places to take your coffee and/or foods while enjoying all of the sunlight coming through the windows and the accents of well-curated greenery throughout. I was already a big fan of several of their offerings so I was happy to see that the menu is not far removed from what is available at the original Atrévete with all the amazing cheesecakes and croissants and I even spotted some new things too like the sandwiches. I came in on a Saturday afternoon in the mood for a pickmeup and something savory so I opted for their croque madame. Staff were friendly and the service time was quick. The interior was warm and inviting and mood was elevated with the good music playing too. When it came to the caffeine I was going to just get the usual iced Mexican mocha but noticed a sign by the register that pumpkin lattes were buy one get one free for the weekend and it was too good a deal to pass up. We thoroughly enjoyed splitting the pastry and the coffees and I am sure that I will be making my way back here often. I had a such a good experience that I stopped by again a few days later for that iced Mexican mocha and a delicious cherry danish too!

Beautiful space. So much light and foliage, peaceful and perfect for a reflective Sunday morning. I almost drove by because there is no signage from the street but it is here!

What a gem! These pastries are amazing! Flaky croissants, mini cheese cakes in multiple flavors..mango gave was delish! Totally need to go back again and again. The staff and owner were so friendly and knowledgeable. What a cute location in a historical building..many rooms to sit in on the first floor. Excited to go back

Pastries are worth the drive. Atmosphere is more relaxed than a grab-and-go coffee place. And try the Mexican latte.

My sister had a lemonade, my mom had a chai, my dad had black tea, and my brother in law had a strawberry matcha. My son got a butter croissant which he was kind enough to share some with us haha. They brought our drinks out to us which was nice! Everything we got was delivered fairly quickly and was SO good, we all really enjoyed our drinks. Nice vibes in here too. And clean bathrooms. Glad I got to try it!

I like the industrial vibe with a plenty of natural light and seating options. It's a place conducive for computer work or a social meet up. Drinks are average.

I drive past this place a lot and there's always a decent line in the drive thru so I was curious…read moreto see what all the fuss was about. Today I took the initiative to actually give this place a try, instead of continuously passing it by. Moka is a cute and small coffee shop that has a pretty broad menu. I was actually surprised at all the menu options. My experience is strictly pertaining to the drive thru. Unlike a traditional drive thru an employee will come outside and take your order face to face. I always like when establishments do this because it makes the experience more personable- and I feel more comfortable asking about menu items. Today I got a medium iced caramel macchiato and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both were really really good. The burrito comes with a side of hot sauce, and I feel the portion is super filling. My iced caramel macchiato was very tasty, not watered down, and I liked how I could actually taste the caramel. As far as prices go I paid $13.38, it's similar to what I would pay at Starbucks. It can get a bit pricey. Luckily for me- after doing a bit of research I found that Moka does have an app and a rewards program. I just think they should advertise it a little bit more. But other than that I truly enjoyed my first experience here. I'm glad I have another coffee shop to diversify where I get my coffee. Starbucks now officially has a little competition lol!

They can be super convenient, in my case because I don't have to struggle with a toddler and hot beverage at the same time. If I was not risk averse I'd consider it a business opportunity! It seems popular, as there was a steady stream of cars in line, probably at least five when I arrived. One of the employees came out to take our order whilst we were waiting in line a la Portillo's. It did mean that the drink I ordered was ready more quickly, but I wasn't able to study the menu as long. They don't have their full menu on the board, which is annoying. All the drinks are listed (with the exception of any specials they may have, which they may or may not have) and the menu board says to ask about the food they carry but the food isn't listed. There's a digital sandwich board that cycles through some of their items and specials, but you can't always catch everything as the images cycle through. The hot chocolate I ordered was really good. I also ordered a couple of sausage muffins and they were delicious. I haven't tasted something quite like it and I wish I knew where to get them for my own kitchen! They have sausage, cheese, egg (I think) and a bit of maple flavor to them. They don't say this on the description but I think they may be baked in a little bit of pancake mix because there seemed to be a dough that encased all the ingredients. I'm going to have to look for a recipe because I've made egg muffins before too but this is a good way to make sure that they retain their shape well and probably also reheat better. If I'm in the area I'll definitely come back to Moka.

I wanted to write a review because I worked here for about a month before being suddenly fired…read more The owner is nice, but her husband, who manages everything, created a very uncomfortable work environment. He frequently brought up politics, demographics, and "statistics" at work in ways that felt inappropriate and often came across as biased. It wasn't the kind of environment I expected from a workplace. I personally chose not to engage with these conversations because I was there to work, and I try to keep my personal beliefs separate from my workplace. However, being repeatedly exposed to these types of comments from management made the environment feel unprofessional. I also noticed that he would tell us certain employees had quit, but after speaking with those employees, I learned that was not always what happened. This made me feel like there was a lack of honesty and transparency in how situations were handled. One comment that really stuck with me was when he told me and another young female employee that we'd be prettier if we spoke more intelligently and that men would like us more. We are both very young girls, and that comment was incredibly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. I was also told that if I came in early every day, I would receive a $1 raise. I did exactly that, and I received the raise on my final paycheck. Just a few days later, I was fired. It was confusing to be recognized with a raise and then immediately let go without being given a meaningful explanation. I was told I was being fired because I supposedly had an attitude with a customer. When I asked what had happened, I wasn't given a clear explanation and was simply told they had decided not to continue my employment. I work hard, take my jobs seriously, and I rarely leave negative reviews because I know everyone is trying their best. I didn't contact them afterward because I felt I had already been treated disrespectfully. After the way I was spoken to and the lack of honest communication, I didn't feel another conversation would have changed anything. As a customer, I also found the food to be average, especially for the price. Before I even worked here, my mom and I had cheesecake from the café on a few different occasions, and every time it had a noticeable freezer-burn taste. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Based on my experience as both an employee and a customer, I would encourage people to support another family-owned café instead.
