iv been coming here for years, i got charged 15 dollars for one medium iced coffee. and one medium iced chai latte. nothing extra in them, not even whip cream or cinnamon. the chai was completely filled with ice, and for some reason they threw in "large flavor" into both drinks! even tho no one asked for anything extra. insane. i want to support small business but this is unaffordable.

By default the best coffee shop in Oswego for lack of better choices. It certainly beats a corporate chain for sure. The Village Grind is where locals like to come to take care of boring things. Last time in one woman was being taught about investments and stock portfolios like she never heard of these before. They also have bagels and lots of other non food items like jewelry, soap, and whatever. Came in one morning just for coffee and a bagel. It seems kind of like a house. This probably was. It has the counter to order at. There's two places to go after this. One way has the general store with the things such as jewelry. They also sell soap, making an interesting but not as good as it sounds, smell combining coffee and soap. Going the other way you get to the lounge. This has a few comfortable chairs along with the harder wooden chairs and tables. I had a latte. It's $4 for a regular. They have non dairy milks and raw sugar. It was good even though it was small for the cost. There's not that much in the way of food. I had a banana nut bagel. It's $3.58 with a spread. They only have cream cheese though. It means they don't have any vegan friendly ones. This was okay on its own but it was kind of stale. Good coffee though it's small and expensive. It doesn't have much in the way of food. The other stuff they sell is okay for gifts if you need something for grandma or people who like those kinds of things.

I was in the area and had to drop off something at the post office. This was my first time in downtown Oswego and it was pretty nice, albeit small. I needed a caffeine boost and found The Village Grind within walking distance of the post office. The interior is really cool. Feels like an old house. Aside from coffee, they have cake, chips, and protein bars. They also have coffee beans you can dispense into bags for purchase. I ordered a cappuccino and a mocha moe. The milk foam on the capp was more on the flimsy side, not thick/dense how I like it. The mocha had decent flavor, but they use a chocolate powder instead of a syrup; I think a syrup would have provided a richer flavor. Not the best coffee I've had, but decent place if you need a drink. Good service and reasonable pricing. 3.5 stars.

Great service, and delicious food! Highly recommend the creamy potato soup! 5/5 stars!

We love Village Grind! (Highly recommend their Southern Pecan iced coffee with French vanilla creamer!)

There's no words to accurately describe what a special place is to my husband and I - and truly all Oswego residents. The sweetest coffee shop in our little downtown, with consistent friendly faces that feel like home. We love their iced coffee, but also buy their coffee beans for using at home in our own grinder. Also our fave place to meet friends; the cozy back room is perfect for catching up. Simply the best!

Latte but ordered double espresso macchiato splash of soy. Told them exactly how to make this and now I'm drinking weak steamed milk

I asked for a Cortado they didn't know what that was so I said a double espresso macchiato. They gave me a 12oz latte. I told them exactly how to make this drink it's not that hard. Didn't even listen waste of $5 never will I be back. 6/14 So I called them and told them about my issue and they were kind enough to issue a store credit to which I redeemed today. I went in and explained the type of drink I wanted and I was fortunate to have the owner present so she could learn and oversee the process. They made the drink and while not exactly a traditional Cortado I was happy that they were receptive to my wants and I was able to enjoy my morning drink :)

It's quaint and arguably has the most personality and unique style of all of the downtown Oswego businesses.

Also a few things to eat. The prices are too high but great stuff. A lot of menu items available. It's got a couple of order screens where customers place their own orders. There's a crap ton to choose from so the line can be a long wait. Beverages are the main things to get. It's about $5 to get most of the coffees, which are cold or hot. We saw a lot of interesting ones. I got the Matcha Latte. Pretty typical but there was the right amount of sweetness. Has some food. Mostly basic stuff. It's about $2 to get a hash brown. Yes that is not even a couple of hash browns, but they taste pretty good though. It's about $5 to get a few pretzel bites. The beverages are obviously better than the food in terms of price and quality. For sure it's got lots to choose from. It's in front of the one strip mall with Target and some other stores. There's a pretty limited amount of space and only a few tables.

Hopefully they will cancel their contract with them, as I had a $45 order, 90 minutes after ordering and getting longer and longer delivery times, DoorDash canceled the order. I called and was told they could only refund $11 of processing and tip fees. When I called Candy Cloud to get the other $34 refunded, I first found out that DoorDash did, in fact, pick up our order, before canceling it w/o refunding me. I had gotten the manager of the Oswego IL location, and she was phenomenal!.... offered to remake the whole order and have one of her staff deliver it to us. Considering that this offer only costs them money, for a mistake (or theft) that DoorDash made, it only reiterated what I already knew: DoorDash is HORRIBLE; Candy Cloud is AWESOME!!!!! Love them so much!!!
