Came in on a Friday night around 8:15PM to every employee cussing, complaining about customers wanting extra ingredients on their subs, etc. We stood at the counter for about 3 minutes and were totally ignored by all 3 employees currently working at the time. We left without being spoken to or even looked at. 2 employees were throwing their dirty gloves across the kitchen area and acting in such a negative destructive manner. Speaking words such as "I'm glad we only have an hour left" out loud for anyone in the restaurant at the time to hear. Completely disgusted with the experience I just had there. I work across the street from this new shopping complex so I was very happy to see Jersey Mikes open! I've come four or five times since the opening and the subs are always very good. I like how their ingredients (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) are set out nicely and always looks plentiful. The restaurant itself is very clean and the people who work there are very fun and upbeat. One thing I think they could improve on is how they add the oil and vinegar to the subs. When I've gotten cold subs, the bottom piece of my bread has been completely soaked from sitting in oil and vinegar. I'm talking almost inedible, I've had to scrape off most of the bottom of the bread because of the way it sits in oil and vinegar as they construct it. There has to be a better way to do this, maybe waiting until the innards of the sandwich are complete to put the bread on at the very last moment before handing it to you and AFTER dousing the meat in oil and vinegar. read more

I feel very conflicted about Jersey Mike's, their hot sandwiches are so tasty, both the philly cheese steak and the bacon ranch chicken cheese steak. The fillings are always fresh and well cooked, my boyfriend loves this place. So you must be wondering why only 3 stars, I cannot stand the bread. Since this is a great place and lots of people enjoy eating here, I won't rant about my hatred of the bread, but it's very bland and has a slightly papery feel. I've tried, but to me a sandwich should have equally delicious bread and fillings. The place is always clean and their employees are super nice. As we live across the street it honestly cannot be more convenient for us. For now we've parted ways, but I know one day I'll crack and make my way back just for the tasty fillings. read more

This sub shop is above Subway in terms of quality and ingredients. My only complaint is that they're regular subs are less than a foot long and the fact that they don't make the sandwich in front of you instead they take it in the back and wrap it up preventing you from knowing what was placed in the bread. The fact that the fresh ingredients like lettuce and tomatoes are out in the open but you don't see what's being done in your sandwich is a down side for me. While we have had previously fine subs from here, today they got the order wrong in two ways (smaller size sub and forgot "extra" cheese), they totally skimped on all ingredients (3 pickles on a "mega" for example). Parking is tricky. There is some free parking but you have to drive down a back alley road and up a ramp and it's a little hard to describe. The food is good. Jersey Mike's Subs is basically Subway but like their slogan boosts is "a sub above". The sandwich chain offers a variety cold and hot (meats/veggies heated on a griddle) subs as well as wraps and a few soups. They have a sub-in-a-tub option for those on a low carb/no bread diet. The subs offered are your typical American subs, e.g. turkey with provolone cheese, ham and turkey, tuna. Their specialties, however, are Mike's cheese steaks, which are hot chicken or beef subs served with grilled onions, peppers and cheese. They also offer to make your sub Mike's way which means the sub will be topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, vinegar, oil, salt, and oregano. Overall, the subs are great! The ingredients are fresh and of higher quality than other build-your-own sandwich chains (I am looking at you Subway!). What I really like is the fact the meats are cut to order meaning they are not dried out! The subs come in three sizes: mini, regular, and giant, which translates to roughly 5 inches, 8 inches, and 15 inches, respectively. This chain does not skimp on meat and cheese so the mini and regular will definitely suffice for one person. I have been to a few different shops in the DMV and all have been immaculate in terms in cleanliness. The staff is friendly and fast i.e. exactly what you want in a fast food sandwich shop. The chain has a reward program called Shore Rewards, which is free and absolutely worth signing up for! You get points for purchases and when you earn enough points you get a free sub (mini, regular, or giant depending on the number of points earned). The number of points needed to reach a free sub is totally obtainable and, if that doesn't entice you, you get a free sub for your birthday! So do it!!!!! The only reason why I do not give Jersey Mike's five stars is I would like more veggie toppings. They only offer banana peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. I would love if spinach, cucumbers, and olives were offered like Subway but that is just me being picky! read more

We ordered a simple sandwich and picked it up. When we came home, we discovered tthey forgot to add oil and vinegar. Normal mistake and it is ok. But when we called in to let the store know, the manager kept insisting that it was our fault. Said "you must have ordered it the way we made it because it's on the ticket!, refusing to recognize that it was the fault of person who took the order over the phone. I got #17 Jersey Mike's Famous Philly which I liked. It was juicy and the bread was soft, but I wished if it was a little bit less salty. I also tried #31 California Chicken Cheese Steak. Very uneven location with a lot of staff turnover and the least amount of managerial presence I've ever seen at a Jersey Mike's. Cleanliness is an issue here. They seem to get visibly upset when you don't want it Mike's way (because that means they have to clean off the cutting board?). Not great communicators, and the smile falls away if you correct them. I love jersey mikes but my last 2 experiences here have been terrible. Went after the lunch rush on a Saturday and had a very standard order, (Giant Turkey and Provolone, the Mikes Way) and it took 10 minutes to make and it came with every single topping on it. Staff was not responsive to my request to stop putting toppings on and manager didn't seem concerned with the staff's lack of customer service. Manager realized the staff had made the sandwich incorrectly (as Mike's Way doesn't include every topping), but didn't offer to remake the sandwich. Will not be going back. Got the Tuna Sub on Wheat Bread yesterday and had it the Jersey Mike's way! I took it home because I had other things in the car that had to put in the fridge, and I drove into it! LOL! It is amazing to read all the negative reviews and it appears nothing has been addressed with staff and their rudeness! I am thinking the franchise owner of this location does not really care about the establishment since the employees are still behaving in the same way. Had I read these reviews beforehand, I would have never wasted my money. All the staff behind the counter have nothing but attitudes. They cannot be bothered to greet anyone with a smile or even communicate in a friendly way. When asked for extra pepper jelly, the proper response would be "okay, just one moment". Instead I am ignored and forced to ask 3 TIMES before I get a rude response to the effect of "I heard you the first time"! Well geez, if you heard me the first time than acknowledge that I said something! Don't dare ask for oil and vinegar unless you want your sandwich soaked with it to the point that your lips pucker from the sourness and your stomach aches! Also, if you plan on ordering a cold sandwich and a hot sandwich, you are just supposed to know that the person taking your cold sandwich order couldn't possibly take your hot sandwich order, nor could they tell you in a respectful way to hold on while the other employee comes to take the order. So when you go to give your full order to the person who started taking your order, you get a rude huffed response about how they can't help you! Finally, when paying, the person cashing us out walks away before our receipt prints and starts helping the next person in line. We see a signature spot and ask her if we need to sign. Again, with attitude, NO! I am thinking this is the same employee from other reviews. It has been 2 times now that I go to this jersey mikes and I receive very poor customer service. So the first time I went a couple months ago with my family and friends. It was 10 of us. It was 8:40pm, yes I understand you close at 9pm. But it was 8:40pm. So most of us ordered the steak n cheese, bc they are amazing. Once the cook received the paper orders. She huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes. And she mumbled something along the lines of omg are you serious. I don't care if it's 5pm or 8:50pm. You guys are open until 9pm. There is no need for employees to give late customers an attitude. That was my first instance. My second instance was last night May 3rd 2018. I went in around 8:05pm, it was me and my cousins. It was 4 of us. When we walked there, there was a female mopping the floor. And the guy who took our order was very polite. But then another guy came out, African American male, he had attitude, he argued with the cook. When the cook asked him to help make the cold sub, he said "are you serious?" U want me to make this little thing? This is what u need help with?" And so he goes to the cold station and says "who's is this?" Very rudely. My older cousin did not like that, and asked him if he was ok? And the worker replied yes I'm good. Overall it's bad customer service, and it seems like the workers get upset when they have to use the hot grill at the last minute. I am a paying customer. And that is not right. I felt very uncomfortable waiting on my sub. And as a customer I shouldn't feel that way. I want to feel welcomed. I don't want to be starred at, and be given attitude. Had never been to jersey mikes before and got a free sub at the sidewalk party. When They were making my sub I guess a hair was on a tomatoe so they took all the toppings off my sandwich (left the meat) and remade it instead of making a completely new one. Which is gross but I was also upset that in the midst they forgot to put the pickles back on and I didn't realize until I got home. I wrote the store of my experience and received no response. Went to the Dunn Loring location for the first time. The setup is confusing so just got behind the people in line. The guy assembling the sandwich asked if I needed help and when I tried to order a sub he very rudely said "well, you have to get over there." When I walked over to where you order the teenage multicolored hair female walked away and for several minutes was not acknowledged at all. This was the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. It had the feeling of being in the deep racist South many years ago. The entire staff seemed untrained and did not represent this franchise well. I ended up walking out and going to Safeway where I got a much better deal and exceptional customer service. Would recommend you fire the entire staff that was there during this time and hire people who understand customer service. read more

I am rating this location one star because there is no option for no stars. Today's experience was so disappointing. Me and 6 other coworkers placed our orders online to pick up at 12pm; we have to order online and pick up really quick because we only have 30min lunch time. We got there at 12:15pm and there were only 2 other costumes in front of us picking up as well. It took the nice lady over 10min to hand out their orders. When it was our turn we found out that our orders were not ready and were just been made. We asked to speak with the manager which took his time to come talk to us and did not even offer an apology, even less an explanation. They seemed under staffed and very disorganized. The manager in duty did not act like a manager at all. We all got back to work very late and disappointed. In a place with so many restaurants it is not good for the business to have such a bad service, there are plenty of options. We will not be going back. read more

I decide to go grab something quick for dinner, and walked over to the shopping center where your Jersey Mike's location at 2672C Avenir Place Vienna, VA 22180 is located. After taking a quick look at the other competing restaurants, I thought "I've never been to Jersey Mikes's, I'll give it a try." I walked in at 1848EDT and the restaurant was empty. Nobody was at the register to greet me. I took a minute to look at the menu to make my selection. I was ready to order. Still, nobody greeted me, or offered to help me. I looked back in the kitchen, and there were your two employees sitting on the food preparation surfaces: An approximately 6'0 tall Caucasian-looking male appearing to be in his 20's; and an approximately 5'4" tall African-American looking female also appearing to be in her 20's.. Both employees were looking downward, deeply engrossed in whatever was happening on their mobile devices. I waited another few moments, then voiced a "Hey", which startled your employees attention. The male employee walked over, put some gloves on, and with an expressionless face asked me what I wanted. Neither the male nor the female had smiles on their faces. Neither the male nor the female made any attempt to be friendly despite their inattention to their duties. I felt in my gut that whatever I ordered was going to be prepared with the same lack luster attitude. I stated, "No smiles, no attention. I think I'd rather go eat elsewhere." I went to your competitor "The Halal Guys" where it was busy, the staff was excited and friendly, the food was good, and it was less expensive than Jersey Mike's menu. I will be staying at this Courtyard Marriott about once a month for 8 days at a time. "You never have a second chance to make a first impression". I know for sure I won't be going to this Jersey Mike's location, and may possibly never give Jersey Mike's at any other location a visit because of this experience. read more
