I just go here for the basic exterior car wash. It's fine, no bells and whistles, and I can still sit in my car until I get to the and when they dry the car off. Then you jump out and go pay. They do a good job but you'll pay more. I was disappointed that they charged me $10 special oil filter charge. When I inquired about this charge the attendant informed me that some filters are special and cost more. After checking I found that my car uses a fairly standard filter. You will likely be charged $8 for topping off the coolant. Check it before your visit. The price of an oil change was always higher than most places, but being charged extra for the filter and topping off the coolant is excessive. These were never charged on previous visits. My total charge went from $78 to $99 for the same service in one years time. I will not be returning to this for my next oil change mainly because I don't like the feeling of being ripped off. read more

Saturday August 24th 2019 I called ahead to this car wash to see if they could detail my car. They told me to come in around 11:00 and we agreed that if they couldn't get to it that I could leave my car and they would do it Monday morning. So I arrive after driving 45 minutes from Whiting and they say no way they could do it. I explain that I was told I could leave it. So the guy in charge calls me a liar and stated that I never called there. He says I'll show you the video of the desk. I said look at my phone I called your number and you can see how long I talked to the person. It wasn't the kid at the desk that I spoke with. So he calls me a liar again and refuses to look at my phone. He was a real charmer. No way would I leave my car there after that. Now I know why there's never anyone there when we drive by. I've been here a couple of times over the past few years and I think it's deteriorated. The staff were very nice, I have to say, and the oil change was fast. Hopefully it was done correctly. But the car wash is a joke. My car came out and it wasn't too terribly clean. They did almost nothing to it. For the price it's not worth it. When ask to cover their damage the manager said that the CUSTOMER assumes risk when using their services. They are not culpable. When pressing them, they told us they would see us in court! Yikes! I wouldn't even give this place one star. I got my oil changed on the 7th of October. I came back home and at 8 pm I went to go visit a friend and I saw something come out from underneath my car. The compartment that processes or contains the oil came out from underneath my car. They didn't put it back in and now there is oil oil all over my driveway and yard. This is where we have been getting my Jeep's oil changed for the past year. The facility is conveniently located to me and they are always mindful of the time so we tend to get in and out. A free wash is included with your oil change and if you can't use the wash that day they give you a rain check to come back with. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. You can get just a wash if you want and they're even a retailer for Uhaul trucks and packing supplies. read more

3.5 stars I stopped in here on my way back from looking at apartments. The facility looks very new and the place is kept in immaculate condition. They took my car and gave it an oil change. While I was waiting in the lounge I was able to relax and read, though the TV noise was a little annoying. The guy in charge of doing the oil change came in and gave me a list of options and asked what I wanted to do. It was nice that he wasn't pushy, like some of the Jiffylube/chain store dudes. They changed my oil and then washed it and cleaned it inside and out. It was fairly fast considering they had to do both the oil change and the car wash/cleaning. I will say it was a little more expensive than a regular shop, more in line with what a Jiffylube or equivalent chain would charge. Good service, very clean car. I'm going back again. read more

I've been going here for years, it's why I trusted telling my wife to take her brand new car there! I've only had good experiences there! Until today! My wife was about to put her new Star Wars decal on the back window, but it was dirty. Rather than clean the window herself she figured take it to the car wash, and get the road salt off! She look around the window Area before leaving the house. There was no scratch! But when she got home, and went to put the sticker on there was a DEEP scratch right by the window (...and the inside dash hadn't been wiped down, and 2 areas on the roof still had bird sh*t). I convinced her to go back and talk to them as they have always done right by me! The first young man I encounter denied the scratch could possibly come from them, but offered to have it buffed...and take care of the other stuff. He told me the owner is inside at the register "but don't tell him I told you he's the owner." I went in to talk to him, he remembered me! I told him about the scratch... he instantly got, not defensive, but confrontational/hostile? "There's no way it came from here, impossible! None of our equipment is abrasive, I'd go out of business I if we scratched cars!" I said maybe it came from the broom you use on the cars out back. "NO! Look I can run it through 5 more times and show you it didn't come from here!" I stayed calm, didn't lose my cool! But where is the logic...you scratched our car, so you think we would let you run it through at all...much less 5x! When we went out back to get the car, the nice boy said sorry it didn't buff out! Beware - I got an oil change here for my 3 year old car and it cost me $150 MORE than the oil change. The guy disconnected a hose to take my air filter out - without my permission - and failed to clamp the hose back on securely. So it jostled around, working it's way loose over time and caused the check engine light to go on intermittently. I took my car in for service only to find out that I had to pay $150 diagnostics fee to find this out. SO ANNOYING!! Wasted my time and money! I've used Jersey Shine & Lube for more than 10 years and was always satisfied with the Oil changes, Here comes the But ~ Lately, I've had ever worsening car washes. I usually think, well, it WAS Senior Citizen day, & I got 50% off. Today I paid for a Diamond Plus, my dash and interior was not wiped, and I suspect the pail of tire shine is bogus. I saw it applied and you can't tell when its initially wet; but I got out of the car 20 minutes later and the tires were not shined. I have also had the experience of paying additional for tire shine, and then having to insist that they apply it. The vac service is sketchy. The rubber mats which are rinsed are still dirty. Car washing is not rocket science, the actual wash is mechanized. Please get employees to vac and wipe! I also noted so many bad reviews, I am surprised the Owners haven't made changes. read more

I went in this past Saturday, my oil change was slightly overdue and had a busy week so procrastinated until the last minute before a long drive to New Hampshire. I have been to this car wash twice since moving to the area. Both times I have had to go home and re-clean my car. Especially to vacuum it again. There is still things to vacuum on mats and seats. My car came out with marks all over it (they were their before it was washed) my dashboard and touch screen had finger prints still and was still dirty. The frying job was half done. Wow, where to begin. I wanted to wait a few days before writing this review. I went in for a routine oil change and the complementary car wash that accompanies the oil change. I was in and out pretty quick. 20 minutes for a change and wash. Not so bad I thought to myself . Well now I understand why it took such a short time. The tech working on my car forgot to put my car back together properly. He only secured 2/4 screws the attach a plate to the under side of my car that protects some of the controls, wires and other things. So about two hours later I'm driving and hear a terrible scraping sound. Have to say I was pretty ticked off when I discovered what the issue was. The car is brand new. I called to speak with a manager but he was "too busy" to come to the phone. So I told the tech on the phone what had happened. It was the same tech who worked on my car because before I could even get my story out , he remembered working on the "new civic". The tech could care less. I asked him to pass on that it appears that his boss has lost yet another customer.(the reviews on yelp and Facebook don't seem too favorable) Maybe it's my fault for trusting a car wash with an oil change. At any rate, I'm not even sure if this review makes sense, just avoid at all costs and either head to a dealership, that place on Main Street, or the wash up on stokes road. This place is awful! I don't even want to give them a star. After 2 mess ups with my oil change I ended up having my engine seize and my car completely breaking down. When i went back to tell them what happened, the main mechanic/owner told me it was my fault! Shame on me for giving a second chance due to convenience. The first time, they didn't put my oil cap back on but instead placed it on the engine. The oil ended up burning all over the engine with none left in the reservoir. The second time they never even put oil in my car and 3 days later my car died on the side of the road in 90 degree weather. They are by far the worst place to go to have your car serviced. This is my third time having my car washed there and my last. Each time I have to wipe the car down again myself. Also paid for the Diamond package and they only did half the things promised. I think the issue is with the guys who finish your car. They rush through and never seem to remember to wipe the car ALL THE WAY DOWN and add the tire shine. Even the guy in front of me had to call them back to wipe again and finish his tires. It's just not worth it. read more

We have had 2 extremely negative experiences here. The first one was a basic oil change and the oil drain plug was not put back in following the oil change. Two hours later, the entire amount of oil leaked onto my driveway. We went back another time for the following oil change and my air filter was not properly reinstalled. An hour and a half later, I was broken down on the side of the road. The manager would not speak to me about this and insisted I give them my mechanic's phone number because they did not believe me. I stopped here on the way home from work for an oil change. The sign says closed at 5:30 for oil change, 6:00 for car wash. It was 5:05 when i showed up. Had 3 slovenly looking guys hanging out smoking outside. "We're closed, buddy" was the response I got when I drove up. There wasn't a single customer in the lube or the car wash. Paid for high end car wash and got horrible results. They barley vacuumed and I had to ask three times for them to wipe down the inside and clean windows. There response was to clean two windows of my 4dr suv. While there were other cars being washed it was not over busy. The staff were just to busy laughing and joking to care. In fact one guy (window washer) sat in my car for several minutes on the phone instead of cleaning. Save your money and never go there. read more
