They had me wait for a room because they had nothing open...then had to put me in a room where procedures are done because they had no available rooms. It's scary to think how they are handling all these patients. They are not! It's like a meat packing plant in here. Definitely heading over to Phila for a really appointment.

Then I asked for the nurse to call back. She never did. Then I spoke to the office manager, who assured me she would take care of it. She never did. Finally I showed up for my appointment three weeks later and asked the doctor for help in locating the records. Since he asked the staff actually made and effort and was able to locate them! Regarding treatment, it seems as if they have two surgery options and you either fit in one or the other. No other treatments were recommended. I went online and researched other treatments. Getting a second opinion at Penn next month.

After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! After so many years I tell myself that we are among his favorite patients, but it's probably how he makes all his patients feel. I like how I never feel rushed when I'm in the room with the doctor, and if I'm there for one specific issue, he asks me questions about other aspects of my health, ie. what else is going on? My son started with Dr Mike's brother Dr Jay at birth and continued until he aged out of going to a pediatrician (which was a surprisingly sad day for me!) and now he too is doing great with Dr Mike. He is a great doctor and I highly recommend him.
