The name is misleading so is the listing in google under Kosher food. It is not a kosher food store. All the meat is hallal but not Kosher. This said the store has a good variety of mid-eastern food it has a lot a libanese choices a variety of green tea Bakhlava etc.. but it should not be labelled as a Kosher food store. read more

Whenever I'm in town I love to stop by the supermarket because everything is so authentic and fresh. They have fresh baked pita bread, other baked goods pistachio, dessert baklava they also have a deli section where they have hot meals, which is convenient if you're looking for a place to have lunch. ::sighs::: When they look dead and in your face and don't say any greeting... you know it's gonna go down hill. The store has a lot of items. I mainly came in because I was hungry. It smelled awesome though. Got to the food counter and one of the women just stared at me and then walked away. Whatever okay. Then I asked a man about that food. Like menu or combo or anything. He was like you get a main item and two sides. But didn't proceed to explain anything. I did one good round again to check out the yelp page and saw that the prices were older and wasn't new. I just decided to walk out. Also I have another reason why they didn't greet me but ... yea I won't get into that here. Main thing is at least a greeting can go along way. read more

1st: I appreciate the amazing customer service offered. The staff there are actually in a good mood and friendly. 2nd: plenty of parking close by which makes it easy to go in and out of the market. 3rd: they have all the Middle Eastern groceries you need from halal hotdogs to halal marshmallows and everything in between. They also sell freshly made food which looks pretty good (I haven't tried it but saw some customers eating it and they seemed to have liked it). They also make fresh bread for sale...unfortunately, the day I went the baker was not in that day. 4th: clean store. One thing I would recommend is organizing it a bit more. This unassuming place is an oasis of flavor, of middle eastern food. Everything tastes amazing. Not speaking their language makes it harder to get the full value of what they have. I wish i did. For example I ordered a kebab platter but was given (and correctly charged for) a kebab sandwich. I went along, though, and it was good. They only have a couple of tables outside. Given they call themselves a market, not a restaurant, this is fine. So you will probably want to get your meals to go. With the enormous variety of ingredients and ready-to-eat food offers, if you love lebanese and turkish food, this store is a hidden gem you should check. read more

This is a market and a quick service restaurant with very good customer service and a great variety of Middle Eastern products. I was craving some babaganoush and pickles. They had fresh babaganoush in the fresh food display case as well as canned for shelf life. Everything looked so good that I figured that I would pick up a Shawarma pita sandwich to go. It was before lunch time and the meat was not cooked enough so I looked in the fresh food case. There was a friendly gentleman who was picking up his own food but help to describe some of the hot food items. I love eggplant and they had an eggplant entree that was stuffed with meat and had a red pepper sauce on it. The starch choice was either rice or a wheat grain which is what I chose. The portion size was good. Enough for lunch and a snack before dinner. Inside there were no tables for dine in but just outside the door was 2 small tables which were clean. The selection for Middle Eastern canned/bagged/jarred foods were huge. The fresh baked breads and bakery items were plentiful too. This was my first visit but I will definitely return to have a Shawarma Pita sandwich. read more

This used to be a great grocery store for authentic typical middle-eastern food and ingredients. However, last time I visited (last week, after a couple of years), it looked full of stuff but completely unorganized, with lots of packages of food that seemed to have been simply thrown on the floor (due to lack of space on the shelves). The fresh olives were all wrinkled: obviously not "fresh" nor appealing. The package of bulgur that we bought had a few "guests" inside (which we didn't notice at the store): obviously this item was also a little bit old. Also the prepared food did not look as good as it used to. I really hope this "change" in quality is only temporary, due to the recent pandemic: we will certainly check them out again in the future. read more

This establishment is located in a plaza in Plantation conveniently on the corner of University Dr and Sunrise Blvd. There is plenty of parking spaces in the plaza but do be aware that the spaces are tight and there are a few potholes in the parking lot. This establishment is a mixture of a grocery store and a restaurant. They have all of the traditional items found in a market with a special attention to middle eastern items. They also have a bakery with sweets and pastries as well as food pies. They also serve sandwiches and wraps and their prices are pretty reasonable for both grocery items and from their cafe. They also have a meat department that serves fresh meat and have a butcher on call in moments notice if you want tour meat cut a specific way. Overall experience here was a 5 star and I would definitely be back and recommend others to this establishment. read more

Baklava and pitas here are among the best. It is a market so it is deli style. People are very helpful in explaining what the different foods are. The best day to go is Sunday morning around 10-Noon. This is when the pitas are baked fresh, HOT and there is the MOST variety of desserts. My only complaint is that it can be a bit chaotic. There are regulars who come in and get serviced faster even when you have been standing there waiting....thus the one star off. My husband says that the food is worth waiting for. read more

I am BIG on cleanliness and so glad to see the employee using gloves when preparing food and I love how the flatbreads were individually wrapped. They have a grand selection of Arabic sweets. It looks impressive when you walk into this store that has a long line of desserts, breads and hot items. So I got a bit of many types of items, to go. I ended up disappointed with much of it being mediocre. The kibbeh was way too bland and lacked seasoning and pine nuts that are usually present in better versions. I got a to go box filled with several types of rice dishes with roasted cauliflower, roasted veggies and grape leaves. It was just ok, but the cauliflower has a slight odd flavor and all of that was cold by the time I finally got help to get all the other items that I wanted to try. For some reason there was only 1 guy working the whole counter and cash register with another towards the back fixing to go plates of Sharma etc.. The other guy kept waiting on other new comers at the register, instead of finishing up my orders. Finally the owner showed up to help and another guy...I ended up spending way too much being excited to try so many items. I got some lentil soup, a zaatar/cheese pita, date cookies and other assorted pastries like cashew fingers and pistachio baklava and a can of olives. I ate part of the assorted rice, veggies and kibbeh. But I didn't like it enough to eat all of it. The lentil soup was bland and also had a slight odd taste to it. And a lot of the deserts just didn't seem that fresh or great. Just so so. So I ended up throwing out 1/2 of it and would try other places before venturing here again. read more

Was it because I'm a woman, was it because I'm African American.. who knows, you read and see. I recently stopped by this market to take a look around. I have explored different cultures and their way of life. The accommodation in various place should be taken into consideration. Going into the store I was not greeted. I looked around for about 5-10 minutes. Finally, I picked up 2 items; a drink and a bag of cookie. When I got to cash register there was a gentleman in the back that seemed to be occupied, so I waited for 2 or so minutes for him to get situated. Thing is, 2 minutes turned into dismissal. Another gentleman approached him and they started speaking to one another, idled even. They both looked my way more than one occasion, but neither attempt to approach the cash register to take care of me. What I come to find out that he simply did not want to serve me. 5 additional minutes went by and I became restless. After looking around at the treats behind the glass shelf next to the register, I made a decision. I put the 2 items back. Before I walked out the door, I saw a lady speaking in a middle eastern language to one of the two gentlemen; at the cash register . I waited 2 days before writing this post. I went through all my irrational and rational thoughts towards this event. So I ask you, was it because I was a woman, no. Was it because I was black? You tell me what you think? read more
