Beef kebab pita - very good
    Carlos M.

Solid little spot. I meant to try La rural next door but it was closed so I ended up coming here instead. Service was very friendly. Food was fresh made to order and tasted great. I tried Beef kebab pita - good and flavorful pita. I got a lot of fillings in it. Tasted very fresh. I love the beef kebab but it only had two pieces of kebab, I would have preferred more protein especially considering the price. 4/5 ($16.99) They also gave me a small salad as an appetizer which was nice. My only complaint is the prices were high and the portions weren't super generous. I'm glad I tried it and would probably swing by if I were ever in the same plaza.

Grill Xpress, formerly Hummus Achla in Sunrise. Israeli, Glatt Kosher. New owners, has been changed for about three months. Solid salads, hummus. Falafel is of10143 W Oakland Park Blvd, Sunrise, FL 33351 a softer type, but I like it. Ordered a meatball dish over rice, it's very dense and meaty with no filler, unusual spicing, but also quite salty. Their red and green hot sauces are killer spicy.

My younger sister and I were looking to shake up our local restaurant routine tonight. Feeling like…read morea little bit of everything on a plate; we took a good ole ride down to Sunrise Pita and Grill. Going in, there wasn't too long of a wait and we settled on a shawarma mini plate with a side order of fresh fries. Moving on with my review; everything was excellent! Note; I've been coming here since I've been a child, but the food nevertheless fails to impress me. The shawarma was succulent, spiced and grilled well too; fries fresh and crispy; the veggies/spreads were all fresh and provided nicel contrast of flavors too. Moreover, the mini plate provided plenty to eat between the 2 of us as our bellies were super full! In addition, the employees were very friendly and attentive. Overall, this was another superb meal at Sunrise Pita & Grill, and hope those who haven't been here to give this place a shot! Verdict remains 5/5!

Super disappointing honestly. I was craving Middle Eastern food and thought that Sunrise Pita's…read moremenu sounded really good. However we were in for a nasty surprise when we realized that their website is incorrect and they aren't open until 10 PM, only until 8 PM, so by 7:30 when we arrived, the grills were closed. The only protein options they had were schnitzel or falafel. I got a falafel pita, and even though I love falafel, this just wasn't it. The falafel didn't have much flavor, and the sauce had a weirdly bitter aftertaste. It was overall pretty dry, and it fell flat texturally. The flavor of their hummus was also quite bland with a bitter aftertaste as well. While I didn't try it myself, my family was rather unimpressed with the schnitzel pita too. The best part of the meal was the potato wedges and the canned Israeli apple juice. After such a disappointing experience, I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back.

It is not Indian, Lebanese, or Turkish, but something in-between. If you like to try different food and flavors, you must try it, and the best place to try authentic Iranian food is Kuluck. From the ambiance to the staff to the service, it is second to none. But most importantly, you have to go there for the flavors. You can try kebab over rice (definitely get Kubideh or beef kebab I think is on the menu), or if you want more of a comfort food, try one of the stews. Ghormeh Sabzi (Beef & Green Herb Stew) is a must for a first timer, then you can try Gheyme (Yellow Split Pea Stew), Bedemjoon (Eggplant), and Fesenjoon (Chicken Pomegranate Stew) I can't name everything you must try. Start from the top of the menu and move down in every visit, or I guess alphabet order is another option I promise you won't be disappointed

Inside the style is middle eastern art and decor. They have a large menu and lunch specials are available durning weekdays. Everything that I had tasted fresh and delicious. The complimentary pickled vegetables and pita was a nice touch. For food we decided on the Shishbarak, which is an interesting combination of meat dumplings, in a creamy yogurt sauce. The Shishbarak is a very hearty dish that has a cozy warm texture. The vegetarian sampler is mix of many of the traditional favorites. However, the standouts are definitely the grape-leaves, and the babbaganou Service was good but they only had one person that was working the register, waiting tables, and bussing food. They could definitely use extra wait staff during restaurant peak hours. Make sure you leave room for dessert! The desserts are delicious especially the baklava.

The food was wonderful from start to finish, and the atmosphere made the experience even more special. There was something about the ambiance that took me right back to France, to those moments of breaking bread with my North African friends, surrounded by warmth, conversation, and the kind of hospitality that makes a place feel familiar the moment you walk in. I felt right at home. Fatima deserves special recognition. She was so kind to me and made me feel completely welcome. Her presence was gentle, warm, and sincere, and it elevated the entire experience. It honestly felt like I was being looked after at my Moroccan auntie's house. That kind of feeling cannot be faked, and it means a great deal. As for the food, it was amazing. The pastilla with chicken and almonds, dusted with sugar and cinnamon, was absolutely delicious, with that beautiful balance of savory richness and gentle sweetness that makes the dish so memorable. The msemmen was warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying. The merguez tajine was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The Moroccan harira had that soulful, nourishing quality that makes a great soup feel like part of the heart of the meal. The zaalouk was excellent as well, rich and flavorful and a perfect addition to everything else on the table. Dar Tajine gave us more than a meal. It gave us an experience filled with warmth, flavor, generosity, and heart. The food was amazing, the hospitality was genuine, and Fatima made a lasting impression. This place deserves real praise, and I would gladly return.
