While I think yelp is a blackmailing mafia-istic organization, I felt the need to leave a review for Jesse's Barbershop on it. I've been going to Jesse's off/on for a couple years now both for myself and my boys. BEST barber shop on the frickin planet. Atmosphere is a total 'Man Cave'. Magazine selection is current and geared towards people who like technology, cars or sports. TV's all over the place with sports playing nonstop. Jesse and his crew are fun loving guys with a great sense of humor. Always happy to see you walk in their place. They are respectful to kids and families and Jesse is quick to tell folks to tone it down if he doesn't feel their attitude or language is inappropriate for the folks or kids in there. Once you goto Jesse's, you won't be going anywhere else. If I had more than 2 thumbs, I'd stick em all up for Jesse's. They now also take Appointments online!!! read more

I asked a few moms in my community where the best place is to bring your 2 year old to get his first hair cut. Jesse's Barbershop was HIGHLY recommended and now I know why. Not only was the appointment booking fast and easy but as soon as we walked into the shop we felt comfortable. Everyone in there was really friendly. Nick was the barber that cut my boys hair and he was soooo patient and kind. He let my son sit on my lap in the waiting area, which is where he felt most comfortable to have his hair cut. Nick talked to him and us the whole time and took a break when needed. Even with my boy moving and looking up at Nick from time to time, he left with a really fresh and cute boy cut! I can say that Jesse's now has a permanent customer and I will recommend them to anyone who asks! read more

This is the second time I've ever posted a review. The first was a negative experience at a restaurant I wanted to take the time to acknowledge this barbershop. I made a switch to this shop a few months ago and I'm glad I did. The vibe in the shop is just GREAT ! The staff is very friendly and they actually appreciate your business. I'm not very particular about my cuts but I like them nice , neat and cut close like I used to when I was in the military I'm not comparing those cuts anywhere near the quality of these barbers lol. I just started coming to Jesse's, and now I'm a customer for life. Ryan set me up in my first visit and it was by far the best haircut I've ever had. The place itself is a new take on the old school barber shop, sort of a cross between a hip tattoo parlor and barber shop. Big screen TVs, cool artwork and good music playing, with a great retro feel. Each time I've gone, there have been several barbers working, with all the chairs filled. Protip-book an appointment online, they take walk-ins, and they keep it moving, but they are pretty popular. Plus, they do beards.. And they know what they are doing. Once I started getting my haircut here, I realized it was because I didn't know how important a true, professional barber is. Jesse's Barbershop is filled with them. Although I have my go-to barber, I feel like I will get hooked up by just about any of them at any time. They just know what to do, even if you don't. Jesse's barbershop has been my go to for haircuts since I moved to Seymour. I leave looking good and feeling good. I have had haircuts from Jesse, Jake, and Ray, and all were done well, and done the way I asked. They have also been cutting my son's hair since he was 5 years old. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly, and conversations range from sports to movies to the guys ragging on each other (all in good fun). Plenty of current magazines are out, comfy couches to wait on. There can be a wait some days, but it's always a good time. Highly recommend this establishment. read more

Now he has two guys working with him that are just as talented so it's easier to get in but the results are just as good. My 16 yr old won't go anywhere else. These guys are ridiculously slow , they're too busy chatting with there friends that come in the shop or using foul language around customers with children present.
