I have been going to Shelly for my lashes since 2019. The service and quality of product here has declined significantly. I went here to have my Hybrid lashes refilled on 11/15/2025 and paid $120 for a refill and within 4 days of getting them refilled, ALL of my lashes fell out. Ironically while I was at the salon another customer came in extremely upset that ALL her lashes fell out within a week as well. I thought nothing of it until mine did the exact same thing. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning here. I DO NOT recommend this place. Lash extensions should last 2 plus weeks at the very least, NOT 4 days. This place has had more negative reviews than positive over the last year. Save yourself the headache and disappointment. There is a reason appointment availability is abundant. read more

I have been getting lash extensions since August 2017. I'm very loyal with my lash artists and would stay with them as long as I can, especially if they're great. First one stopped lashing, second one left on maternity leave and never came back, third one moved to another business located far, fourth one's business owner closed, fifth one stopped weekend hours, so ultimately I came here because 1) local 2) weekend hours 3) can make/ change appointments online. Hybrid full sets typically take 1 hour 30 minutes - 2 hours. Tina took 50 minutes. I should've seen that as a RED FLAG. It looked more like a volume than a hybrid. I woke up from the session with burning feeling which mildly relieved after more fanning. Walked to my car and felt itchiness on my eye lid and just figured it would go away. Went home to discover some lashes were stuck to the skin of my eye lid. A couple days later I had a red lump on my eyelid. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she was nice, local, good availability, convenient scheduling and figured she can just fix it all during the hybrid lash refill appointment. BAD decision on my part. I went for a hybrid lash fill and the this time was same. Took 45 minutes, eyes burned, itchy eyelids, lashes stuck on the skin of my eyelid, so I canceled my next hybrid lash fill and when my false lashes started falling out... I noticed they looked too HEAVY for my natural lids. No wonder it bothered me. I'm so disappointed. Would NOT recommend. read more

I DO NOT GO HERE!! I went here to get lash extensions and I told the Shelley that I wanted a natural looking cat eye and she did quite literally the opposite. Half of the extensions were connected to my eyelid and not my actual lashes. They were extremely clumpy and they were hurting my eye since they were connected to my skin. I've been getting lash extensions for a very long time and her technique is the worst I've ever seen. I talked to her on the phone and she agreed to give me my money back when I came in and got them removed but then after when I was there decided that she was only going to give me 2/3 of what I paid. I went there to get hybrid lashes... price was $150, no problem. When I in the chair the lady kept asking me if I wanted cat eyes? Bigger eyes, I think I said no thanks more than once. Well she ended up doing what she wanted and charged me $170 for the look she wanted... ohh and they were not hybrid which was more of a natural look. My experience was less than satisfactory. I was placed in a room with another client. My eyelash professional must have had a bad cold as she was having coughing attacks and had to leave the room several times to spit up phlegm (it was very loud and clear) A dry cough is one of the most common coronavirus symptoms! My eyelash professional also answered the phone while attending to me and then left me to work on (finish up) the other client who was laying in a bed next to me. Another eyelash professional entered the room and began engaging in conversations with my eyelash professional in a foreign language. I wish I could give LESS stars. This is the absolute worst place to go to have your eyelashes done. I had been getting mine done for 4 years prior without a single complaint-- until I went here. Not the owner, but the woman who works with her is quite literally cruel. I don't use that description lightly. Each time I got my lashes done she did not put them on correctly and during the session she would hurt me. She would rip my extensions directly off my lash and when I told her it hurt or my eye was burning she would let out a BIG SIGH or say "YOU'RE TOO SENSITIVE.". No, you are a cruel person. I would often get off the table with both my eyes beyond blood shot red and tearing. Like I said, I spent four years with multiple lash technicians and would fall asleep normally or at least feel minimal burning/pain and when I did they would fix whatever was wrong. Multiple times she would be on the phone, chomping gum and laughing hysterically while doing my lashes. This is the first negative review I have ever left anyone but it is sincerely warranted and I think people should know. I have found someone else who is wonderful and realized just how terrible Babe and Beau Spa is. Save your money for a compassionate and talented technician- YOU WON'T FIND IT HERE. read more

I moved from LA to Boston April 2016 and I was getting my lashes done in LA I'm really picky and particular about how I want things down and I've heard horror stories about lashes. Luckily I haven't had a bad experience with my first lash lady, I moved to Chelsea in Feb and I've been researching where to get my lashes done since I moved here last year, and I finally found a place near me in Revere I drove by it daily and the reviews were good so I decided to give it a try, I've been coming here since June and I'm so please with Sherry's work. Both Shelly and Tina are amazing at what they do. I have been going for a few months now for eyelash extensions, and it is a pleasure to relax and have them do my lashes. Shelly is very accommodating to switch appointments and works very hard to coordinate appointments for times that work for you. Shelly is outstanding! Her place is very clean and cozy. I have spent many hours reading reviews and even more hours on YouTube spirals. If you are in any way hesitant about this procedure; may it be cost, discomfort, or even trust - Shelly is where it's at. I have Asian sparse brows that are even sparser since I discovered tweezers in 1990. I've spent so much money over the years trying to pencil, shade, pomade, gel, rapid brow, castor oil, and that soaping technique from YouTube. Yeah it was cute for the moment, but if I sweat or accidentally touched them, I'd look ridiculous. Shelly has changed my life - I don't feel like ugly without makeup now. Yes, no makeup, because my brows are sooo bomb. I will share this; during my research some would say that the second appointment (which is included in the cost) is where some real magic happens. If you are like me with literally 25 brow hairs, it's not runway ready after the first round. (Still looked soo good though) It is almost like Shelly laid the foundation first. So, I had been coming to Shelly over the summer and had to switch to a different lash technician because of school and location changes. Shelly is super flexible and great. I had been interning over the summer, and she was able to squeeze me in after hours closed with another technician or before the store opened. Super responsive through text, and the place is decorated nicely. Moreover, her prices are lower than the usual--from what I have seen from other places in the Boston area. Some cons, I thought that the lashes were heavy looking. I usually asked for the classic set or the classic re-fills. It wasn't her technique or anything--just the brand of lashes that she used on my eye. I have gotten the classic set done at other locations, and they have been wispier looking. Got my 1st eyelash lift and it was wonderful. I was running late and called and Shelly was understanding and didn't rush or compromise the service. I originally order eyelash lift and tint but as she was doing the eyelash lift, she suggested not to get the tint since I already had black eyelashes. I appreciated that she was honest with me which I valued. During my service, I had questions about eye lash extension vs eyelash lift and she answered them truthfully. The eyelash lift came out great. It makes a huge difference in my everyday routine since I can eliminate curlers. Also, great for a person that loves to do water sports. I went to this location yesterday for a lash lift and tint. I based my decision to go here on the yelp reviews because they were so good. The place was nice and Shelly was very welcoming. I was expecting to leave this place satisfied but unfortunately that wasn't the case for me. I'm not sure what went wrong but my lashes ended up looking fried and shorter than how I originally had them. They don't lift up and all the hairs seem to all be going right. I look ridiculous thanks to this place and my engagement dinner is ruined. I will not be going to this place again. My biggest regret and a waste of money.
