This review is long overdue. Due to a traumatic experience it has taken me almost 4 years to write. In September 2020 Dr. Hurvitz repaired our son's face at just a few hours old. Dr. Hurvitz is a wonderful surgeon and human being. My newborn baby was cut from eye to ear during a crash c-section. 3 plastics surgeons turned down the repair because they felt they weren't skilled enough due to how deep the cut was and the proximity to nerves, his eye, his ear, muscles, the age of the newborn and other various factors. They weren't sure if my son would be able to feed, or use his eye. One surgeon called Dr. Hurvitz in to the hospital for a consultation. Thank God Dr. Hurvitz agreed to come in and do the surgery. He was off, and at home with his family. His team kept my baby alive when he had to be intubated and struggled to breathe (he was hours old and had been exposed to many drugs during the crash c-section because they couldn't get me numb). Finally, at almost midnight I got to meet my son after 8 hours. He was perfect. His incision/ scar was minimal. It's hardly noticeable now, almost 4 years later. Sometimes when his face turns red I can see a faint white line. It was so big, so complicated and so deep, and now it's a tiny paper thin line. The stitching was beautifully done. Most importantly He was able to nurse, and use his eye, he had no issues opening or closing it. Dr. Hurvitz repaired the muscle, nerves and incision perfectly. His office staff are also wonderful people. They patiently worked with me on insurance and payment. They answered every email, and call. They are a Wonderful group of ladies. Dr. Hurvitz bedside manner when I met him and his assistant put me at ease. I don't remember what he said, but how he made me feel. He cared. He was funny. And he's absolutely the best surgeon. Thank you Dr. Hurvitz. You were one of the few good things that happened to us during that horrible experience. We thank God for you every time we look at our son's face. He's gorgeous and healthy. The scar is minimal and most people don't even notice it. I would absolutely trust and recommend Dr. Hurvitz. read more

Dr Keith A. Hurvitz has been such a blessing in my life. He has helped transform my body into a work of art and I am very happy with all of the results from my breast cancer surgeries/reconstructions. With his skill set and experience, he has delivered so many wonderful outcomes. I only have positive things to say about what he has done for me. He has made me feel even better about myself, after my reconstructions that he had performed on me. He and his office staff are very: -professional -kind -friendly -courteous -compassionate -hard working -they process paperwork quickly -very attentive -are always available to answer questions -easy to schedule/reschedule appts -office is always clean/tidy -wait time is reasonable He has been my plastic surgeon since May of 2019. His first surgery on me was placing a tissue expander (reconstruction), after my breast surgeon/specialist (Dr Jessica Rayhanabad) removed my left flap (mastectomy). Even with the tissue expander, he was able to place it perfectly and gently. He is highly skilled and with his specialty, he was able to place the tissue expander with no complications (at LB Memorial- spent one night in hosp). On Dec 2019, Dr Hurvitz removed my tissue expander and replaced it with a silicone implant that was the right size/fit for me. Again, there was no complication and my pain level was between a 1-2 out of 10 (with no pain pills, after the surgery). This goes to show you how gentle, but detailed he is with his work. The surgery took about 2 hrs and it was out patient at LB Memorial. He has the best bed side manner. He is very attentive, caring, nice and he listens to you. He works with you to give you the best results, and with the least amount of pain. Again, his pre-opt and post-op appointments were always great. He always did a great job of explaining the procedure (before & after). He always took his time to examined my post surgery outcomes. He always made a point to ask me if I had any questions or concerns. I really appreciated his care and time. On 6-29-2021 (just a few days ago), I had my final reconstruction surgeries with him at the LB MemorialCare outpatient facility. I had liposuction from my mid section. Then those fat were transferred (fat grafting) into filling around the top and sides of both breasts. I also had my right breast (flap- stomach fat) lifted and the nipple size reduced. Again, Dr. Hurvitz was very gentle with his skillful surgical techniques and I had minimal bruising. My pain level was about a 2-3 out of 10. My surgery took about 2 hrs. I took one pain killer after the surgery and that was it. My husband helped me getting onto and out of our bed the first 2 days. I have been able to do more today (Thurs). I will be seeing him for my 2 weeks post-op. I cannot wait to fully heal...quickly. Dr. Hurvitz, thank you for being such a top notch plastic surgeon. I respect you, and appreciate all of the things that you have done for me. I couldnt have asked for better outcomes from my three reconstruction surgeries that you have performed. Thank you!!! HELLARRR!!! In my Medea voice... "Two thumbs up w/ a twist" from my old school In Living Color fans... I'm SO HAPPY!!! from the words of infectious song by Pharrell Williams. Just a few ways to express my overwhelming gratitude of this AMAZING Dr. I'm not gonna lie, my tears almost start to flow as I begin this review. If you have read my last review on what I can truly say now was a "Botched" cosmetic procedure from a previous Plastic Surgeon who has absolutely nothing on Keith Hurvitz M.D. Like the saying says "King Kong ain't got nothing on him!" Lol. It all started out as a referral from the previous plastic surgeon, who told me there was nothing else he could do for what was now a look of deformity in my abdomen area. I had lumps and bumps and an overwhelmingly protruding fupa (if you don't know what that is, please look that up . To put it quite honestly, I was deformed and was desperate for help. My last appointment w/ the previous surgeon left me feeling devalued, helpless and just another $$$ number who was tossed away for I was no longer needed and useful to him and his practice. The practice took all they could from me, and basically said sorry you're on your own. I felt like that little kid who was patted on the head and shoed away for now I was a nuisance. Fast forward to my desperation, I called the medical office of Dr Keith Hurvitz. I am a little skeptical at first for this was a referral from a Dr who literally left me out to fend for myself. Do these Drs have regular lunches together? Do their wives share the same PTA assignments? Do their children play together on off days? All these questions run through a persons mind after receiving the worst treatment from the person referring you . I let it all go, and jumped on faith and made it to my consultation w/ Dr. Hurvitz. Yayyy! I'm greeted by the wonderful staff who generally made me feel welcomed. Ok, my nerves are calming down a little, thank you ladies! I finally get to see the man who is going to make it even better. He introduces himself so eloquently and refreshingly. Immediately he observes and studies my concerns, (which by the way he has no problem finding). I'm still nervous by the way because I was told, there is nothing that can be done. This Dr. Hurvitz, literally blurts out, "I think I can fix this!" I'm not kidding, it was that moment that I decided I was married to this man. Lol !!! He provided me the hope I was so seeking and searching for. "Let's do it," he says. I'm jumping for joy as you could imagine. I then go to schedule an appointment and I find out the earliest appointment I could get is 8 months out. YIKES!!!.... Noooo! I have to wait 8 whole months, in which I would call periodically to check for cancellations. Unfortunately, there were none. Everyone was eager for the Dr. I now claimed was all mine. Lol Ok, the time has come and 8 months has officially come to fruition. It's showtime!!! I don't know if it was that wonderful high five or that heartfelt hug he gave, but it was that moment when I just knew everything was gonna be alright. I was finally at peace and I felt my guards come down. I am now 6 days post op, and from the top of my lungs... HE DID IT!!! I know I still have a ways to go in my healing process, however I can already see the difference. I'm not gonna feel deformed anymore. I owe this tremendous euphoria to Dr. Keith Hurvitz and staff for making me feel like a person again and not a $$$ sign. I PROMISE you, please take my word and advice on this. In my opinion some Plastic Surgeons (I said some) have a chip on there shoulders or a God complex kind of attitude and just don't have the empathy, caring, loving bed side manner attached to them. I recently got a breast augmentation from Dr. Keith Hurvitz February 12, 2021 and let me tell you... he is sooooo kind and understanding!! I instantly felt that I could trust him with this life changing procedure :) I had met about 4 other surgeons outside of Long Beach before I met Dr. Hurvitz (it's VERY important to do your research ya'll!). I was skeptical only because all the doctors I met had social medias--which I was used to looking at when looking for a surgeon. I ACTUALLY FOUND HIM HERE ON YELP!! Lol. So I called his office and ended up making a consultation on the spot bc #1 he's local for me and #2 when I called I got an amazing deal :) immediately after that I did more research, found his website and I was very pleased. Consultation day came and I was so freakin nervous because I was at that point sooo [financially] ready to choose who my surgeon would be. Ya'll as soon as I met Dr. Hurvitz, he made me feel so comfortable and didn't make me feel crazy for wanting big ol' boobies lol I am 5'5, 107 pounds , A cup and wanted to be a D cup! He let me try on up to 500 cc which is impossible for my frame but he gave me such hope for big boobs whereas no other surgeon did. Of course he explained that with my small frame, I can only go so big, but he was willing to make me as big as I can get..and that is all I wanted :) He gave me a range of 400-500cc which is BIG and where I wanted to be! I was sooooo excited and I can tell he knew i wanted big boobies so bad lol he was kind enough to give me his # so I can send him photos of my goal and That day I booked my surgery date! His staff stayed in touch and was so helpful during the time before surgery to make sure I had all the miscellaneous things done by their due dates before my surgery day. It included things like lab work, covid testing, and all my payments. Which is all suuuper important to handle before your surgery date!!! I loved that they answered/returned all my phone calls if ever I had any questions about ANYTHING! I had sooo many questions lol Surgery day!!! Omg, everyone was so nice and took such great care of me at Optum (where the surgery took place). Nurses were so nice, anesthesiologist made me feel so safe and comfortable. I was in great hands :) Dr. Hurvtiz showed up once I was all dressed for surgery and we went over the sizes again. He had all the sizes ready for me and said he will try all he can to get me to the biggest size he can SAFELY fit under my muscle. He ended up only being able to fill my breasts to 415cc but omgggggg ya'll I woke up so happy!!!--and super out of it bc of the anesthetics lol 415cc is still BIG on a girl my size! I'm currently healing and loving my results already!! What he managed to fit ended up being the perfect BIG for me :) Overall, I had such a great experience and came out with exactly what I wanted, big boobies! I'm kind of the opposite of all of you, I wanted my breasts GONE. They were entirety too large and making working out, living life, wearing shirts suck. I had nothing but free time during COVID to do this so why not? I initially met withDr. Dorfman, his cohort, but both Hurvitz and Dorfman were there the day of my surgery. I think because of the size of my boobs, trust me they were beyond big. Short of the long is: my 5lb each boobs are gone, the scar is great for what they achieved. Pain was minimal but expected, I mean I just took off both breast. Both doctors were easy to reach to change a medication that was making me sick. They didn't make me feel weird because of the surgery I asked for, which was what I was hoping for. The staff was nice & the office was clean and super COVID compliant. Billing was a breeze. It's been about 7 months and all is well. I get the occasional sting or pinch maybe from nerves reattaching i dont know. I might go back there's a little bit of roundness on the sides I'm not 100 about, but still. They're gone, that's what matters the most. I had a car accident a bit over a year ago and broke my nose. A different ENT completed the surgery that I needed immediately after the accident, but I continued to be unable to breathe very well through my nose afterwards. Dr. Hurvitz did a second surgery (fixed a deviated septum and reduced the size of my nasal turbinates) and I can now breathe perfectly!! After losing a drastic amount of weight using only my will, I noticed deep lines around my mouth. I kept thinking about getting filler. Eventually, someone recommended Dr. Hurvitz who is located in Long Beach quite conveniently close to my home, so I did some research and found that he does fabulous work. I made an appointment, several, things would come up, but I finally made it in. The staff was amazing and patient with me. Ivonne was at the front desk was so pleasant that my fear of needles leased a bit. Then Rayna, my nurse, explained how simple the filler process was and how there is minimum pain. I chose Dr. Hurvitz to "fix" my nose. I chose him because he is a board certified plastic surgeon, he is an ENT, he has a good reputation as a surgeon, and he is a nice guy! He performed a rhinoplasty, septoplasty revision, turbinate reduction, and reconstructed my nasal valve with cartilage from my ear. Not an easy procedure. I live near Newport Beach, where there are probably a hundred plastic surgeons. I am glad I chose to make the drive up to Long Beach. I am so happy with my results! I can breathe again, which has helped me to sleep much better. My nose also looks great. Another reason I chose Dr. Hurvitz is I could tell he was actually listening to me. I told him I did not want a completely different nose (looks wise); that I wasn't unhappy with the way I looked. I just wanted a better version of what I have. He walked us through the process, the procedure itself, even prepared us on how to handle the insurance part of it. I recently decided to have a breast reduction and to say I was nervous is an understatement. I knew I wanted to have the surgery but, was very apprehensive about finding the right Doctor and also what the experience would entail. I found Dr. Keith Hurvitz in Long Beach, CA and from day one during my first consultation he made me feel at ease. He was very patient and answered all of my questions and I remember asking him repeatedly about anesthesia because I had never been put under before this surgery. Dr. Hurvitz took the time to talk to me about what would happen when the anesthesia was being administered and I was comforted. The surgery itself was a complete success! My breast size was rather large and I was in a lot of pain in my shoulder and neck areas. I didn't ask for a specific size to be reduced to but, I just wanted to be out of pain. Dr. Hurvitz not only made sure the pain and pressure was reduced from my neck and shoulders, he also made me look great in the process. There was minimal scarring and the symmetry of my breasts are just perfect! My clothes fit so much better and I have a lot more confidence with the way I look now. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been a patient of Dr Hurvitz for over 3 years doing Botox and fillers. I finally was ready for the big leap--a facelift. The whole process was AMAZING. Dr. Hurvitz is truly one of a kind. I've been visiting him with two friends; each woman had breast cancer and each woman took a different path with her decision. One a double mastectomy and the other a double mastectomy with reconstruction and implants. Both friends have amazing results. He's a perfectionist and it's displayed differently in both my friends. I got a rhinoplasty with Dr. Kurvitz in February. I heard about him through a friend who also had a rhinoplasty with him, and I thought hers was so beautiful so I wanted to consult with him. During my consultation, I told him exactly what I wanted and he listened to every concern I had. He was so comforting and focused during the consultation that I decided to book with him. I felt comfortable that he knew what I wanted. on the day of my surgery, I was nervous but he reassured me that he would do exactly what I wanted. Surgery went so smooth, and when I saw my nose, it was exactly what I wanted. He did a PERFECT job I was shocked how h gave me everything I wanted!! Dr. Keith Hurvitz is the greatest! I had implants in me for 25 years the right one leaked finally broke and I was scared. I wanted them out! Dr. Hurvitz, made me feel so comfortable that I will look normal when he takes them out and I will be happy. I just got out of the doctors office and he took my tubes from the drainage from my breast.out. I am the happiest ever.! I hear that he always does great implants if that's what you're looking for. If you're looking for taking them out he's awesome. I was referred to Dr. Hurvitz after being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 41 and realized that my best treatment option would be bilateral mastectomy with reconstructive surgery. Needless to say, it was the scariest time in my life. From the very first appointment, I was immediately impressed with him and his entire staff. He made me feel safe and relieved; that although this was a major life changing event, that I could get through it and that he would help me every step of the way. And he has... every step.
