These ppl are not professional. First the person who helped me didn't even use gloves on several occasions. Second I called to set up a payment plan and the person who handles payment plans was not there and they didn't know when she would be back in office. This happened on Tuesday and instead of a call back my credit card was charged $175 dollars and I received an email saying "thank you for your payment." Mind you my acct is not passed due and I had just made a payment for $60. I highly DO NOT recommend this money hungry place. Hope this helps someone. read more

Will not be coming back. Receptionists were really nice and I saw were very nice to other patients. Though 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time I was finally called into the back. The nurse who took me back seemed very uninterested and never once even looked at me. Once the PA came the whole appointment took less than 5 minutes and I left being told I would have a prescription ready and to take the medication asap. Once getting to the pharmacy more than an hour later I was greeted with the pharmacist saying they haven't received any prescription. When trying to call the clinic I was left with no one answering the phones and never got my medication. If you have the option DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I read other similar reviews before scheduling my appointment. read more

Unexpected Billing Issues and Poor Customer Service - Be Cautious!!! In September, I visited this dermatology office for a skin inspection due to a keratosis on my ear, wanting to ensure it wasn't cancerous. The doctor (or PA) assured me it was most likely benign and mentioned that removal and biopsy were optional. Since I was told the issue seemed non-threatening, I wasn't planning to pursue a procedure unless it was fully covered by my insurance. Before seeing the doctor, I asked the front desk if my insurance, under the Blue Cross Federal Employee Program, would cover both the visit and any necessary procedure. After checking my benefits, the front desk confirmed everything, including the procedure, would be covered under my $45 visit fee. I double-checked with the provider before consenting to the procedure, and they reassured me again. After the procedure, I confirmed one last time with the front desk that there would be no extra charges beyond the $45. To my shock, a month later I received a bill for over $100, covering the procedure and biopsy. I contacted both the office and my insurance. My insurance agent reviewed my Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and found the office's billing confusing. The agent suspected the office might not have verified my specific insurance plan correctly and instead relied on general Blue Cross coverage. Both the agent and I tried several times to reach the office's billing department, but long wait times made it nearly impossible. When I finally reached someone, the representative was rude, dismissive, and insisted that I was mistaken, claiming the office never promised the procedure would be covered. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. I feel misled and taken advantage of--if I had known there would be an extra charge, I would never have gone through with the procedure. Now I'm stuck with an unexpected bill, and the office refuses to acknowledge the misinformation I was given multiple times. On top of that, their billing department has been difficult to reach, and the one conversation I had was unprofessional and accusatory. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of transparency and poor customer service. I hope the office reaches out to resolve this issue, but based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. Please be cautious when dealing with them and triple-check any information--especially regarding insurance and billing. read more

Worst customer Service ever. I rarely leave reviews but I have spent 5 months trying to rectify a billing issue. I have provided receipts (from the office) as well as proof of payment (bank statement), cannot get a call back from the office manager who is never available nor returns calls. I have been a loyal patient at this clinic for over seven years, but lately, it has shifted from a patient-focused care facility to a profit-driven business. Patients are treated poorly, with the clinic prioritizing financial gain over proper care. Their lack of basic customer service and genuine patient care is disappointing, and it's places like this that contribute to rising healthcare costs because they squeeze out every dollar they can. I initially chose this clinic because I was a patient of Dr. Hazany even before he began performing MOHS surgery here. After his departure, I stayed despite the consistently unfriendly front desk staff (with the exception of the two gentlemen, who are decent) and the generally unwelcoming demeanor of most doctor's assistants. The only reason I remained was the trust I had built with Quint, and because changing clinics after so many years is difficult. However, I've finally had enough, and here's why: 1. On a recent visit, a female front desk staff member was extremely unfriendly and spoke to me disrespectfully while insisting I complete my profile history--despite my long-standing history at this clinic. 2. The doctor's assistant at the same visit was also rude. She proceeded to ask me all the same questions I had just answered at the front desk. When I pointed this out, she sarcastically responded, "It's policy that I ask these questions." 3. When checking out, I was handed a bill for $450 (after insurance coverage of $300). I asked to be billed as usual, but the clerk refused, insisting I pay immediately. At no point before the services were performed was I informed of the cost or given the opportunity to decide beforehand. I was also never notified that the billing policy had changed to require immediate payment. After years of consistently paying my bills on time and spending tens of thousands of dollars here (between insurance and copays), I was suddenly being treated as if I were untrustworthy. 4. I was required to schedule a follow-up visit just to receive my lab results, something that had never been necessary before. In the past, they would call as soon as results were available. Now, due to a policy change, I had to wait three weeks for an appointment--despite lab results typically taking only a week. When I arrived, I was charged an office visit copay just to receive a simple two-minute results review. That was the final straw. It wasn't about the $35 copay--it was about the principle. Forcing patients to return unnecessarily and charging them for it (along with billing their insurance) is exploitative. If someone is awaiting critical results, such as a cancer diagnosis, they deserve immediate answers, not unnecessary delays and additional charges. This clinic has lost its integrity, and I can no longer support it. read more

I recently visited this practice and couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and courteous, making me feel at ease right away. There have been many times here where they mess up my prescription and I have to call over and over again to get it fixed. This last time I have been trying to get my prescription for almost 2 weeks. I'm not sure what is going on over there but it seems very unorganized and I'm so sick of having to deal with it. EDIT: I got the bill today, and this is the same procedure they have been doing on my son every single time, but for some reason they called and wanted $150 immediately after the procedure instead of billing my insurance and my Co-pay is $84.18. No idea what is wrong with the office, but we are not going back. Sorry not to be able to go through insurance like a normal office, and sorry to miss Dr. Quint. But we use insurance and have NEVER paid late. I will not be harrassed and threatened like that ever again. First of all, performed a surgery on a minor without parental consent or being present!!! Malpractice..... Dr. Quint is amazing, but unfortunately, his office staff is horrible. My bill was 3 weeks old when they told my 17 year old if I didn't call the office by 5 pm that same day they would send us to collections! This was last month. They upset my and and angered me. Then the girl lied and said she didn't say that. She said what she said is, "If you don't pay your bills, eventually they go to collections." NOPE... THEN she says, "HAVE YOUR SON CARRY A CREDIT CARD WITH HIM"! I say, "No way I'm sending a credit card to high school, especially a HSA card that could be used and emptied. " I paid the three week old bill that day. Today, a month later, they did a procedure on him and I wasn't there as he's driving now. They called and asked for $150 today! I was in the car so of course will have to go home to pay. She says, "We will need a credit card on file from now on." Guess what, I will not go back. I'll take my son to my derm, Dr. Martinez at Coastal Dermatology even though I have to pay $180 as my son will be a first time visit rather than pay these rude people a cent more than what is due from today. Dr. Martinez staff bills like normal people. He is also quite good and does extractions, Botox, everything you need. My whole family will be going to him from now on. Maybe they have issues with slow pay from other people, but now we are leaving because of the poor treatment, so they will have NO pay from us in the future. I hope the manager is proud of his new policy, because he just lost all our future business. read more

The doctor was very professional and attentive. This review is for their billing department. I was charged $470 directly and they charged my insurance as well, resulting in a duplicate payment. I have made several attempts to request my refund since September without success; BCBS has been notified and tried contacting them several times as well. Their department has promised a refund, but not responded even following up as no refund was made. BCBS and I have proceeded to report this as insurance fraud. I took my daughter here for a rash. It was incredibly itchy and her school would not allow her to attend since they did not know what was causing it. The doctor performed a punch biopsy (without telling me that this is not covered by insurance) and than never called when they received the results. Somewhere in the volumes of paperwork they said that I had to set up an account to access a portal that would have given me that information. It might have been nice if they had taken a moment to tell us, especially knowing that it was causing such a disruption in our lives. The diagnosis? (which I received from someone else) - bug bites. I would have thought that a competent dermatologist could have diagnosed this at the time of the original visit. Instead she had another week of pain and missing school and we are out many hundreds of dollars for substandard care. read more

For future patients, please make sure you ask how much they will charge in addition to whatever your insurance covers. At first, the doctor said my meds would be covered by my insurance but it turned out I had two pay $70 for the two items. He sent a wrong e-prescription to the pharmacy, making me wait another week for my med! In addition to the copay $40, they also sent me a bill for over $100 saying my insurance refused to pay. I had allergy reaction on my face and the doctor gave me a simple procedure (injection and med). I rejected to pay them $100 and they "discounted" to $31! This office has lost me. I went in for a wart on my finger and I had the wart removed the first time without any issues. The second time I went in, I was seen by the PA who injected my finger to numb it. She then instructed the medical assistant to prepare the next steps. The medical assistant did not follow instructions and then injected my finger again causing my finger to swell more than 2 times its normal size. They requested to see me again due to the swelling in my finger and their mistake by numbing my finger twice. They charged me and my insurance for that visit when they made the error that forced me to come back in. Worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. Feels like a scam or a front for some other kind of enterprise. I can't help but feel Dr. Michael Tabibian is playing some kind of joke on his patients that the rest of us aren't in on. After an unusually long wait in the waiting room after waiting a month for my appointment, the extremely disinterested Dr. Tabibian flippantly threw a diagnosis off the top of his head at me with minimal examination. The kicker? He refuses to work with normal pharmacies and instead will refer you to a shady place called Grand Specialty Pharmacy (owned by his relative or friend, I'd guess). This place might not even have a physical location as they insist on delivering medications to you, after a several hundred dollar markup for even regular problems. So go in for a regular skin issue that a generic $2 with insurance antibiotic prescription would clear up, get billed a $40 copay and a several hundred dollar medication delivery from some shady mail-a-pharmacy that you normally only see ads for slanging "blue chew by mail" on porn sites. What an amazing racket. Makes me wish I became a dermatologist instead of being an unsuspecting mark who goes to the doctor because I needed actual help but instead am worse off than before. Oh another thing. You have to pay for parking to get to their building and their office does not validate. But they are willing to sell you parking validation stamps! So awesome to see multiple money-making ventures out of the same doctor's office. Maybe they could sell sodas and snacks next to where you sign in, too! read more

I went to Advanced Dermatology Care on the recommendation of a coworker. I had a cyst on my head that I wanted removed. The staff was phenomenal and Dr. Michael Tabibian surgically removed the cyst painlessly. It took 13 stiches and somehow Dr. Tabibian sewed my head up in a way that left no scare, amazing!!!!
