We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that caused a little damage to the ceiling below. We called our regular plumber, Blue Dragon (Gilbert Jimenez, who is amazingly nice and good at what he does, btw) and he was so busy, he recommended Fabian Ramirez at Jessi's Plumbers. We called on a Sunday evening, and even though they too were super busy, they made time for us, and spent time on the phone with us to help figure out what the issue might be before they even got here. Sure enough, what they'd guessed was the issue. Also- they recommended some folks to come in and fix the drywall/insulation issue for when they'd finished the initial repair. And best of all, they coordinated with the drywall repair folks so that when Fabian was finished, the drywall repair folks stepped right in- same day, full repair Aaron's Home Repair Services, also really good at what they do!). Fabian took care to cover the area beneath the leak just in case something unexpected happened. He fixed the issue, pointed out some items we might want to fix sooner or later- not because he was drumming up more business for himself, but rather he was showing us what should be next on our home repair list in that bathroom so we could avoid future extra drywall etc repairs. Very thoughtful. He was clear and concise with the suggestions he made, his rates are fantastic for the work that he did, and the fact that he went the extra mile coordinating without my having to be the go-between really made me feel respected and taken care-of as a client. I did not actually use this company, but I called them and they were very polite and gave me the information I needed. We replaced our gas stove with an electric; however, there was no gas shut off behind the stove. We called several different plumbers to get a price to put in a gas shut off valve; however, no plumbing company that we called would give us a price over the phone. They all wanted to send a plumber out charging a service fee. Then we called Jessi's Plumbers, and Fabien told us that we should haver a gas shut off valve and to look in the cabinets. I was unable to book my usual plumber to look at a leak in my bathtub and they referred me to Jessi's Plumbers. My regular plumbing company charged me $75 for an hour visit to clean a drain, replace a valve on my toilet and give me advice on my dripping faucet. Jessi's Plumbers was in my house for 20 minutes and charged me TRIPLE to clean my bathtub drain out, unscrew a leaky faucet and cap it. I had asked for a quote before they came over and they never called me back and I was charged $225 for a 20 minute visit where they did very little. I felt I was way overcharged and do not recommend Jessi's Plumbers. read more

We had been without hot water for about a week. Had issues with other companies either telling me they wouldn't be able to come out or not really being upfront and honest about prices. I reached out on a Saturday to them and they were able to get to me by Monday. (He was honest on the phone and explained that the soonest he could get there would be Monday). We had a shower drain that was horribly backed up. The drain cover was caulked in and then the caulk was covered in some areas by tile so there wasn't much we could do. Fabian and Michael were able to come same day, took care of the problem quickly and professionally and were very friendly. Previously used Jessi's plumbers and his service and honest was excellent. In recent past, communication and fairness in prices are disappointing. He was going to charge in excess of $120 for what he showed me was hair wrapped around the top of a bathroom sink drain plug that he removed in about 5 minutes and $75 for tightening a kitchen faucet while handling several other issues. In addition, the amount I paid was more than what was reflected on his receipt -- I didn't realize this until he left -- and when I contacted him for resolution he said the receipt was wrong. Unfortunate because we previously had great experiences here but I was left very uncomfortable and can't recommend them. read more

Fabian was awesome! I had been dealing with a warranty company and could not get anyone out to my place to deal with a tub that was not draining. I finally decided to go outside my warranty company and when I called Fabian on a referral from another 5 star plumber on Yelp, he was able to come within a few minutes. I think it's great that another plumber recommended him because he couldn't get to me soon enough and that Fabian just happened to have a cancellation and could come that quickly. His prices were extremely reasonable and worth the little more that it cost above my warranty copay to have him come and take care of it. Fabian once was a reliable plumber but that's all gone down the drain. I own several rental properties in Austin and he was a trusted contractor for issues that would come up. However, he's become very unprofessional over the last year or so. If you're lucky enough to get a call back, he'll schedule the appointment and then ghost you when the day arrives. Stay away unless you enjoy disappointment. There are too many good contractors out there to waste your time on these guys. read more

Shout out to Fabian at Jessi's Plumbers. I had come home from a trip only to discover that my water was shut off due to my irrigation system that was connected directly to the main water line. I could not get water to the house until that issue was fixed. I called several places and all of them could not see me until 2 weeks later even after I told them I had no water in my residence. I called Blue Dragon and he immediately referred me to Fabian. Fabian answered his phone quickly and said he had the proper tools and could see me that day. He came to my house with another worker and both were very kind and courteous. They had it fixed in no time and ensured that the water coming into the house was clear and coming out of every faucet. I cannot say enough good things about Jessi's Plumbers. I encouraged Fabian (the owner) to sign up for Yelp so I could post my praises. I have used Jessi's Plumbers services 4 times in the last year and every experience has been awesome. He quickly responds to texts and returns calls. I live in south Austin so no big deal for him to come to Austin. I could not find a plumber for a leaky toilet but another plumber recommended Jessi's to me. I bought a new toilet to install & I wanted to replace a ring on another. The toilet i bought was defective (it does happen) so I had to return it. Fabian came back the next day to install it, he also gave me some ideas on what to look for in a new toilet. I had him come and take out my old garbage disposal as leaking and reroute the plumbing under my kitchen sink as did not think I really needed the disposal. A few weeks later, he came back as I really missed the garbage disposal which he installed. He even offered some ideas on best brand of disposal my needs. Last week, he came and reconnected my kitchen plumbing and install a new faucet after new kitchen counter install. I view Fabian as fair, looking out for what is best for the customer, knowledgable and customer focused. What more could you ask for in a plumber or anyone with a local business? read more
