Shortly after our purchase, we started having issues with our fridge. I chose Jessups instead of a big box store, believing they would provide better service after the sale. Sadly, this was not the case. They could have cared less. They sold me an extended warranty from a horrible company. In the end, I had to file a complaint with the state of Florida. I went to Jessup's last week looking for dishwasher. The salesman was SO rude to me. I had a few questions about the appliance he was offering and when this could be ordered. He advised that it would be weeks. He said "what are you looking for miracles lady?" I was only inquiring ... i then explained that i was going to try somewhere else as i needed it quickly .... As i was leaving the store he stated "go ahead head to Lowe's or Home Depot... they will sell your promises and never deliver." We are In the process of getting all new appliances but i wont go back there ever again. As an FYI i did purchase a dishwasher that same day and it was delivered and installed the next day. On a Saturday, I noticed there was a large gouge in my radiant stove top. I knew it had to be replaced. I went to Jessup's in Venice and had the good fortune of having Robert as my sales person. It took me a few days to decide, but I went back in the Thursday of the same week and purchased the Cafe Platinum stove.....along with it the refrigerator and the microwave! While writing up the order, we found out it was going to be a 2 week shipping wait from GE. Since I really needed my stove, I asked if I could take the floor models. Robert went to Bill, the manager and explained my issues and Bill allowed me to purchase the floor items. Robert even got me on the delivery schedule for the next day. Now, the two men that made the delivery were outstanding. They really worked hard in our "feels like over 100 degree" weather. They were extremely polite and cared about what they were doing. When I returned to Rotonda West, my fridge had completely shut down and I was only in Fl for about 2 1/2 weeks for this trip down. I reached out to Jessup's for a new fridge after I had reached out to the major appliance store and could not get a delivery date for minimum three weeks out. I found Jessup's online. I called their Venice Fl store and spoke to Amy. She was extremely helpful, I was unable to travel to the store as my car battery had also died when I arrived. I was looking for a smaller size white fridge with freezer on top. Amy took the time to research Jessop's inventory and got back to me the next day with the perfect replacement. It also happened to be less expensive than the one I saw at the big box store not only for the fridge itself but for installing an icemaker, delivery, set up, and take away. Delivery was scheduled for one week. There was a small issue with the delivery and I thought he whole process was going to be delayed for another week, however when I called Jessup's, and spoke to Amy, she spoke with staff and they realized the original delivery staff did not do what they were supposed to do. Amy sent Dan and Jose out that same day. Dan and Jose hooked up the water line, installed the icemaker, and I had my new fridge up and running! Have purchased several appliances from Jessup's Venice store over the years for our Venice vacation home, always excellent results. Arrive this year. Needing new dryer and dishwasher. Nervous after reading Covid era reviews. Supply chain, installation and warranty repair problems. Had to get supplies from Home Depot checked appliances with them. They recommended products that would not fit dishwasher opening & would not install product I found that would fit due to counter configuration. Also, complex delivery and independent installation requirements. Went to Jessup's, Scott immediately took us in hand with tape measure reviewed and analyzed several products to fit both dishwasher and dryer needs. Very knowledgeable. We completed purchase process in less than one hour, scheduled simple delivery process. We purchased the items on a Thursday, and both items were delivered the next Tuesday by two different teams. Totally professional, detailed installation, cleanup, courteous, and very interested in our satisfaction. We will buy from Jessup's again. read more

when my old french door refrigerator failed I went to Jessups based on the recommendation of a neighbor. I had the exact size of the space the refrigerator needed to fit in, as well as the instructio book for the unit I was replacing. The salesman was extremely excited and said he had a brand new French door for me in their clearance area that would be perfect for my space. Jessups's delivered the unit three days later and it was 3 inches too large to fit. The salesman admitted it was totally his fault but I then had to place an order that would take two more weeks to fill. I lived for three weeks out of an ice chest on my kitchen counter during a very hot May. When Jessups finally delivered my new unit, theit delivery people could not or would not do the water connection as it required going through my existing dishwasher as the water turn off was under my sink. Jessups had also sent along and charged me for a special connector that was not used and too short for my situation. I've had to get my own plumber and buy another connector to get the water and ice correctly hooked up. I have not been happy with the service that Jessup provides. I have bought a service contract which theoretically they will provide. I am quite concerned about their ability to service my new unit in case of failure. Just had a GE range and a Speed Queen washer and dryer delivered and installed. The prices were comparable to the big boxes but the service was outstanding. Something I haven't experienced at Orange and Blue. The salesperson Mike was patient, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Installation was thorough and tidy - inspected the appliances for damages, and even wiped their fingerprints off. The delivery crew was great - polite and neat. Not much value-added service with this company. Waited almost a year after my kitchen reno was completed before I received ALL of the Bosch appliances to finally finish out the kitchen. OK, so every manufacturer in the industry is facing that. Covid, blah, blah, blah. But it's the lack of care and concern by Jessup's. Multiple requests on my part asking (PLEASE) to keep me updated with status follow-ups on delivery. They never occurred. I was the one that always had to be proactive. Once I got my microwave, it came slightly damaged from Bosch. Not a huge deal, but when one waits this long, yes, I want perfection. I've called the salesman at least three times asking about why there's been no response to Jessup's damage complaint. Nothing. Never ever a follow up to me even after I leave a message. I'd like to say there are many options out there. There aren't. Lowe's and HD suck (in my opinion), so that leaves even fewer. Regardless, like an earlier reviewer, I recommend not ever even considering Jessup's. It starts with management. I wrote a terrible review months ago. How has it disappeared? I had nothing but trouble with the dishwasher and the company. They don't have any customer satisfaction and they really do not care. Came out to my home and measured our laundry room to make sure the appliances would fit before we ordered them. They were delivered this week. We went to Jessup's because we thought... it's a local company. We also understand, due to Covid things have been delayed. We don't understand the runaround we've been receiving. Constant. So not impressed! Five months later, no range, no date... On October 13 my husband and I ordered an over the range microwave, a new range, and a refrigerator. We were told we would be called when things were in their warehouse. Well that never happened. We've been constantly calling and following up ourselves. Found our microwave had been sitting there and never received a call. We picked it up. We went in November 17 to let them know we were going home for the holidays. They told us our range and refrigerator would be in the end of November, estimated the 28th, and they would hold it for us. We return from the holidays go back in on January 8...they tell us our refrigerator is there (fantastic), but no range. Grateful our refrigerator was in as we know what a delay those are. Then they told us they have no idea when our range would be in. When pressed on how that is possible when two months before we were told it was arriving? They looked at us blankly. Hmmm "possibly" is was sold? They said they couldn't give us a new date. Then they told us it would be in the end of January, then the end of February, we are now the middle of March. We've been told next week, then the next, then the next....It's been five months since we ordered our range. No we're told we're gonna have to call the internal purchasing department to find out what's going on. Supposedly it's "going to be on the truck" to deliver to us for the past month. Ed, our sales guy has been extremely condescending, rude, disrespectful, never called us once when our appliances came in, we always had a follow up and call and check on our order. Then when we call him, he gets mad at us!!  He's in the wrong field. He should NOT be in sales. Bill, the store manager is nice enough, but obviously hasn't been able to solve our issue. Mark, the sales man who I wish we had gone to has made additional calls and trying to find out where our stove is, but still nothing resolved. Pathetic Jessup's... it really shouldn't be this hard. This is 2021 and you can't track an order? You don't know where a stove is that in your system? Perhaps you screwed up from the beginning and gave my order to someone else, or perhaps you never ordered my stove?? Five months? Five months?  Run don't walk away from this business people RUN!! ! We also purchased extended warranty on the stove and refrigerator and we were told we would receive something in the mail. To date we have received nothing. Apparently, they're waiting until our stove is delivered and then send in the paperwork. Well obviously that's not happening...so you sold me something else you didn't deliver on. I recently purchased a stackable LG washer and dryer from Jessup's Appliances. It was a very satisfying experience. The salesman, Mark, was extremely knowledgeable and took a great deal of time to provide information about the various washing machines and dryers. Once I placed the order, the delivery was arranged within a few days. The delivery people, Logan and Don, were exceptional. They were very meticulous and did a great job in setting up the machines. However, there was one problem - the washing machine supply hoses were a little too short and did not allow the washer to be placed as close to the wall as I had initially requested. I returned to Jessups, explained the problem, and they went out of their way to track down longer hoses and are making arrangements to install them. Once again this has been a very satisfying experience and I certainly would buy from Jessup's again. read more

We were preparing for a remodel of our kitchen which included new appliances. I went to Jessup's on a recommendation from another business that we were using. I am warning you now not to go there. Only after getting involved with this company did I learn from others that they have had similar bad experiences. We ordered all of our appliances from Jessup's. The process of was one of the most disappointing, frustrating experiences that I have experienced. We began the process in October of 2020 and finally finished in February of 2021. They would set target date for delivery of an item. The date would come and go with no contact. I had to initiate all contact.... time after time. I would leave messages and they were repeatedly not returned. The dishwasher was delivered but the installer discovered that it did not work, and the installer reported it to Jessup's. Again I had to initiate all contact including several calls leaving messages that were not returned. When I did get a call back on the repair, I was asked "what is wrong with your microwave" my reply: "nothing, remember, it is my dishwasher!" read more

We have been a faithful customer of Jessup's for many years. We have purchased three full packages over the years and getting ready for a fourth. Not so sure now...... This past week our Kitchen Aid side by side that is only about 3 years old is malfunctioning and early Thursday afternoon we called on our five year service contract to have Flamingo Service come and repair it. Flamingo told us we needed to go thru Jessup's to get the paperwork started. Makes sense so far. We called Jessup's and after much looking they found our contract and assured us they would email Flamingo within the hour. Friday afternoon having heard nothing we called Flamingo and they never received the promise email from Jessup's 24 hours ago and never heard back from Jessup's that there was an issue. What good is a service contract if they will not honor it when you need it? Shame on Jessup's in Venice. read more

We bought a microwave and stove from Jessup's. Their installer destroyed the cabinet when installing the microwave and broke the hindges on the cabinet next to the microwave. He installed the microwave and left the cabinet in shambles, claiming he was not a carpenter. He then installed the dishwasher. He ran it and left after charging us an extra $40 for the difficult microwave installation and destroying our cabinets. The dishwasher did not drain. This was 2 days before Thanksgiving. We then had a carpenter come in and fix the cabinet and a plumber to hook the dishwasher up correctly. I called the Bradenton store on Tuesday. Called the headquarters store in Venice on Tuesday and asked to the sales manager. Called Venice again on Wednesday. Yet again, no response. I called again on the following Monday. Bill, the sales manager, finally called me back. He said he would talk to the GM. Never heard back from him, so I called again. He said that is the Bradenton, he's in Venice and it's not his problem. Not his problem??? Really? Next, John, the GM from Jessup's called. He listened to our story and said he would call back that afternoon. He didn't call back. Two days later we heard from John. Only after we had filed a complaint with the BBB. He offered us a $150 credit if we will take the BBB complaint off immediately. Well, let me see. Their installer charged us $260. To fix everything their installer destroyed was another $250 and they only want to credit us $150. No thank you. We had been trying to get some resolution for over a week and now they want us to jump through hoops for them. Jessup's customer service is non existant. Go back to the big box stores. At least they will stand behind their services. read more

Jessups assured me that they would honor the warranty when I returned. They offered a service call for $95 if I wanted someone to look at it when I asked them to fix the item....even after providing copies of all previous emails as backup. We purchased a new KithchenAid Dishwasher from Jessups and we would highly recommend them for appliances purchases. We had Bryan as our sales associate and he was great in explaining the difference between the Kitchenaid and Bosch dishwashers. My wife likes a heating element for drying the dishes which the KitchenAid has. The price was the same as most of the box stores but came with free installation. What is best about that is they have their own installers, who were Michael and Cecil who did great job on removing the old dishwasher and installing the new one. I think that is great reason also to purchase from Jessups read more

Do not do business with this company. Buy at Lowes and get a 5% discount or HD or anywhere else. I have had a leaking refrigerator without the use of water and ice for almost 5 months, still under warranty. I asked that they return the refrigerator when I received it because it was so loud. Their answer was once you plug it in it is now "used". Really - how am I to see if it works or not? I have had 6 people out. The Frigidaire rep came and replaced the freezer door saying the control panel makes everything work and the leaking stopped - it took 3 months to happen. He never said the coils were frozen and I had to defrost. Now it is leaking again and Frigidaire sends a Third-party company who is not their certified Frigidaire Tech that just gives patronizing lip service saying I have to take the refrigerator out to the garage and defrost it! Absurd! - If the leaking stopped with the new doors and the problems are exactly the same with leaking, sluggish ice maker and loud noises, and excessive motor running, then it makes send the control panel wasn't working in the first place and a second door didn't solve the issue. They also sold me a discontinued refrigerator without telling me and it came scratched and dented. Frigidaire is a 3-4 hour phone nightmare calling the Philippines. They are rude to work with besides. read more

Upon calling all 3 stores, Bradenton had the dryer (scratch and dent) that I wanted.I drove out and after taking delivery info, I'm told the $60 delivery fee is going to be. $120, because I'm not in the BRADENTON delivery area. Jessups is also in Venice, & Sarasota, where I live. Not negotiable for scratch and dent. I bought a suite of 4 kitchen appliances from them last year. Again, a real pain, the salesman, Michael, in Sarasota, did not check the measurements I brought in for the refrigerator. The refrigerator did not fit. Big fiasco, cutting cabinets. Delivery people abrasive, and in a big hurry, didn't take protective film off appliances. Salesman lied, manager was worthless, did not understand how to order a replacement for cracked shelf, never did get it. Prices are good, not great, customer service, lousy. I am very disappointed in Jessup's service. I bought the whole suite of kitchen appliances seven months ago. I bought from Jessup's to support the local economy, but I would not purchase from them again. My refrigerator just quit last Friday. They required me to arrange for service and put me on a list for a loaner refrigerator. The first service company I contacted and set up an appointment with never showed up. I arranged a second service call for today to find out that the part would take an additional 10 days to arrive. When the appliances were delivered, every one except the microwave was dented. I was told they would replace the dishwasher front panel, but that never happened. The stove has a huge dent in one side that the delivery people did not want me to see, and it was a couple of months before I noticed it. When I mentioned this while calling about the refrigerator, I received no suggestion for repair or replacement and basically get like I was being told I was sol! I received not even an apology for any of these issues. I am highly disappointed. It appears they are happy to sell you appliances, but then you are on your own. read more

Customer service is basically non existent in this store. We purchased dishwasher 8/4 and were told by Amy we should have it approx 8/18. We finally called 9/7 and we're told approx 1-2 weeks more. Finally came in 9/13, so went in and picked up. My husband went to install it and a part was defective so called in to store again and was given service number. Called on 9/17 because no one ever returned our first call. We were told they had ordered part and would get it soon. On 9/26 we called again (how long does it take in this day to get parts sent out, usually 1-2 days). On 10/7 we called again, guess what, part had just been delivered (yeah, right). So told service person would be out to install on 10/11. He came, spent 2 hours and that part also was defective. So now its been 2 months, jessup has received all our money, but we've not had a running dishwasher. So after tech left on 10/11, we call venice store manager and ask to have a new dishwasher brought to our home and we were told it would cost us $45 for delivery since we had picked up first one. WHAT??? They should have delivered it for free and taken the one that never worked back for free - plus in good customer service, should have installed this new one. Since they were not willing to do this, we brought the defective dishwasher back to the store on 10/11, went to Home Depot and will have our new one delivered (free) on Mon 10/17. What a joke. Here we thought we would purchase from a local business instead of big box store. Would not recommend this store AT ALL. Very poor customer service and we should have walked out of store when we first went in because the salespeople were not at all friendly. DO NOT do business with this Company, there is a reason they barely have a 2.5 start rating. I purchased an electric range from them, it came with a lopsided drawer which the delivery driver said is the way they come, had I known they are defective out of the gate, I wouldn't have purchased it. I called the manager, Bill, who was suppose to set up a GE service appt, he didn't, I had to go to the store, spoke with a woman who set it up for today, well the appointment never happened either. Apparently you have to keep the phone glued to your ear because they give you less than 10 minutes to not pick up the phone before the GE tech arbitrarily decides to cancel a call. I said there for 3.5 hours for nothing. GE and Jessups need to let customers know that if there is a service scheduled you better pick up the phone the first time or you've wasted an afternoon. I went to the store as soon as this happened and Bill the manager who desperately needs an attitude adjustment with customers stepped in, who was not helpful at all, actually he wanted to argue that there was nothing wrong with a crooked drawer, the drawer is not square. I am sure it is a minor adjustment. 8 out of 10 reviews are bad about this Company, the attitude is the customer is wrong and too bad, oh well, they have no control of GE, so they won't help. Well too bad for them, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. HD and Lowes carry the same products and better customer service than this Company does. As a business owner myself, I would put Bill the Manager on notice, change your attitude or run along, same for his delivery guy, water does run down hill. Believe me, I am not going to waste time over a pan drawer on a stove if there really wasn't an issue. Maybe Mr. Jessup is this way too, who knows, he hid while I was there. read more

Beware of Policies when buying a new appliance: I bought an over-the-range convection oven from the venice location on July 7th. Got it plugged and it does not work. I called the store and they tell me it is now a warranty issue, and I have to go to Samsung. Not very happy with this policy, and as I see it I bought something that never worked one day, I should have been given a working unit and let them deal with the manufacturer. I get that this stuff happens in shipping, but I specifically go to local business because of service, and owning a local business, I prefer to support local. **BestBuy and big box retailers give 30-45 days where they will replace with a new unit. Just an FYI I figured out the hard way. This is my Only oven by the way. I do not have multiple or backups. I get a manufacturer tech to come look at it ( take off work) and he orders a part. 10 days later it comes in, take off work, but it won't work. The unit can not be fixed. At this point I have had no oven for 3 weeks. The unit must be replaced. Samsung OK's this and the ball goes back to Jessup to order a replacement. So, the manufacturer is going to replace it, and they have to ship it the the original store that I bought it from. This is their policy. Once Sams. OK's it, they notify Jessups, and Jessups needs to order a new unit. Somewhere that ball got dropped and I had to make 3 calls and two emails to Jessups, and finally get a response after an email that says I'm going to put my story on the internet. Someone will look into I'm told. I gave them the Samsung #, and the claim #. A week goes by and nothing. I finally go back to Samsung to get them to call Jessups direct and get Jessups to respond. Samsung told me they altered Jessup's nearly a month prior to replace the unit. Jessups orders a new unit at this point, and unfortunately it got destroyed in shipping. I am now at two months with no oven. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB and Jessups called me a few days later to say they have the oven. They did offer to remove the old, and install the new, but as it would be another week I opted to do it myself. The response to BBB is worth putting in here, as it casts an accurate picture of their customer service. The quotes areas are from Jessup's. "You were well treated, in fact, we ordered microwaves for you."( They were required to by the manufacturer, and only after weeks of calling, emailing, and finally the manufacturer getting involved) " Jessup's cannot control shipping or damage. We cannot control a part going bad. ( I agree with them here, as I stated) "We can attempt to fix or replace and that is what Jessup's did.( They did not. They sent me directly to the manufacturer) "You gained nothing by making false statements to the BBB". ( There was no false statement, or exaggeration for that matter. I do however consider this is a juvenile response) "You were treated with respect and had replacement as soon as the product was received from the manufacturer. " I am a long term customer of Jessup's and I have bought all my appliances in the past from Jessups, including my Kamado joe grill (which rocks) and had good experiences. This has been a disaster though. I even helped out the owner, Tom, at one point with another business he was involved in, when they were in a tight spot. He personally had recommended the Kamado Joe actually. I don't like I had to go to BBB to get a resolution. I have never had to do that. Had you not put in a note to the BBB that I was making a false statement, I would not have posted my story all over the internet. SO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JESSUP'S!!! Worst decision I made ever!! I did a gut renovation on our forever/retirement home and wanted to do business locally instead of the big box stores. I bought six appliances and two under the W/D storage units by phone as I was in NY. While I understand the appliances being late because of the pandemic, I cannot accept incompetent sales people. They first screwed up my order but selling me a single instead of a double oven. They then delivered an LG refrigerator without the door in door feature that I told the salesperson I wanted when I ordered it. That was bad enough, but then when I asked for it to be changed out, I was bullied by a second salesperson posing as a manager into keeping the fridge or paying a 30% restocking fee and not honoring the original discount I was given during their sale. When I asked to speak to Mr jessup, I was told he would just take back all the appliances DO NOT BULLIED BY THESE PEOPLE! I never received a call back from Jessup or the manager. We purchased all our appliances from them and all of them with the exce ception of the GE Refig. was in great shape. The Refig. was delivered without all the Parts!!!! We never got the Ice Bucket and one other part for the Filter. They are all dopes there. They do not know the in's and outs of the products they sell. We got a GE Tech to the house and he blamed Jessop's . Jessop's blamed GE for not putting in the bucket. The GE Tech wanted me to empty the ice and I told him it is his job. Most of Florida Service people suck. I called Jessop's and told them to take the bucket out of a store model and I would pick it up myself. They all suck and I hope I never have t deal with them AGAIN. Joe M read more
