Should be negative stars. Requested a 7:00am from midtown to JFK in an SUV. My wife & I got the front at 6:55am. No driver. 7:00am. No driver. 7:05am. No driver. I call and he said he's close. 7:08am up comes a rundown Toyota minivan and the driver was wearing jeans and a worn Polo. Not a great impression. Inside was semi-clean, but looked like his family was just in it. Drive started and it was not good - the suspension in the van desperately need replacing - my back still hurts. Then, the driver drove like a maniac, weaving in and out (there were a few 'dear gods' from my wife and lots of eyes squeezed shut). I get this is New York but it was terrible. Get to the airport (luckily, unharmed) and I try to call Jet Black. 5 separate times. No one picked up. So, I texted, advising the driver was late and was not the car I requested and drover very unsafely. The response I got was that the driver was 'only 7 minutes late' (not true - he was 9 minutes late) and a minivan IS an SUV (I think many people would argue with that - besides, that was not disclosed on the website). So, if I was late, they would charge me but when their guy is late - that's on me somehow. Got it. 30 minutes later I got a text confirming the car that picked me up and I said yes, it was. 40 minutes later i receive another text that "there is heavy traffic in NY and tunnels with the city." And offered a 5% discount. Wow - 5%!! Mind you, this is after they have you prepay a 20% tip. I respond saying that's not good enough. And Jet Black responds with, oh - absolutely nothing, 13 hours later I text again asking for a response when they offer a rousing 10% of the tip back. The reason someone picks a car service is to get a confirmed ride at a confirmed time which, with Uber or Lyft, rides get scheduled and canceled all the time. A person also picks a car service because the car is generally of higher quality and the driver is safe and responsible. None of those things happened here and Jet Black just tried to make excuses and rationalizations and they also never apologized for lying on their website about the vehicle, the fact that their driver was late and that he drove very unsafely. I would rather walk to JFK in the snow then use Jet Black again. read more

IDO NOT EVER BOOK THIS COMPANY!!! I would book zero stars, or negative stars, if Yelp's rating system allowed. This company is a completely dishonest, horrible and disgusting organization. I booked a limousine on August 21st to take my family from JFK back home to Manhattan on September 4th. On September 3rd, I received an email asking me to confirm the pickup, I responded that morning, about 33 hours before the pickup was to take place. I then received an email from the company saying that my pickup was confirmed and my confirmation number was listed on the email. Then later that night, about 20 hours before the pickup was supposed to happen, I received an email saying that "We're sorry that you cancelled the trip." I contacted the company through Whatsapp and they said that they were already booked with too many other limo rides, so they had to cancel my trip. I asked for a full refund and the agent proceeded to argue with me and say that it was my fault that I did not confirm my trip earlier.....even though I responded essentially right away, which was 33 hours before the pickup. Finally, he agreed to issue a 50% refund now and the "rest of the balance would be refunded in 72 hours". Of course the rest of the refund never came. When I then reached out to them to inquire about the rest of the refund, the agent continued to blame me, stated falsely that I had cancelled the service (a blatant lie again) and said that he would not refund the remainder because that was the "cancellation fee". This is an absolutely disgusting, dishonest and unbelievably horrible company. DO not even consider booking with them. Please DO NOT waste your money or your time. You will NEVER get the service from them and everything their customer service agents respond with is a complete and utter lie. Please go elsewhere at all costs! We finally got our tickets to Hamilton on Broadway. It was already special enough for my teen daughter who loves Hamilton. I decided to shop around for a special surprise with a ride down to the city and back. Other companies wanted about $200+ more than what Jet Black quoted me. I booked Jet Black and I am so happy I did. From the booking process to the drop off at home, everything was OUTSTANDING. Communication was fantastic from beginning to end. I was advised the driver would be about 30 minutes early. That is wonderful when traveling to the city mid afternoon. The vehicle was a Lincoln SUV, very comfortable. Once we arrived in the city, we coordinated pick up time and location. The show started a little late and ended a little late. I texted Freddy that we were late but he was at the pick up point within 5 minutes and off we went. Truly professional all the way around. We have 2 more trips planned to Broadway and will certainly utilize Jet Black Limo again. read more

I contacted Jet Black Limo to schedule a pick up from Montgomery, NY to the Newark Airport. I called them when my pickup time had lapsed, one person told me I was scheduled for the next day. I referred to my original request that clearly reflected the correct day and time I requested. I then received a call from the company saying they never received my credit card information and assumed I didn't want the ride. In fact I emailed my credit card just 7 minutes after I received their request. The next person who called me then expressed 'Milton' is bad at checking his email. In the end I was asked to see if the hotel I was staying at could help me because they wouldn't be able to get me to the airport in time. Everything I expected in professionalism was sorely lacking from this company and I will never use them again. read more

As I looked threw there website, i saw they offered town car and black car and they had good review, so I booked a car for a Friday pick up. So to my surprise, they sent a mini van, not a town car. My pickup was for early am, and a women in NYC, it was not safe, I was so scared, but i had to get to airport. The driver was nice, but car was not cleaned. On my retuned which was (Monday), they sent a other mini van. After i spoke to them during my trip, and ask them not to send me another mini van, they told me they would fix the issue. I had them checked the driver name and car model, and told me it was going to be black town car but it turned out to be other mini van. The driver was rude. Car was dirty, and it smelled like smoke, he talked on the phone, and he beeped on his horn every 2 sec.. He argue with me after I told him which way, i would like for him to go to get to me to my drop point. There website if misleading. They have no town cars or black cars. This car service may quote great prices but they do not show up! I called when they didn't come and they kept me on hold for close to 20 minutes and still couldn't find the driver assigned to me. Fortunately, I allowed ample time to get to our flight and the hotel helped us get a cab. In addition, I asked them to make sure I was not charged the fare and they assured me I would not be. Car was older model and in rough shape, "luxury suv" was a 07-14 suburban with obvious body repair and poorly matching paint along with masking tape on the leather inside. Terrible! We booked this service to take from Newark Airport to NYC and to Take us to Newark Airport from NYC. We got to the airport at 11:00 PM and updated the company from The moment we took off to the moment we landed. We landed and no one was there to get us (family of four). I called the company and they said they were on the way. After one hour, they said traffic was too bad and they cannot make it. So we had to get a taxi. Speed up to today--- the day we leave and I called the company two hours prior to our departure to confirm pick up. They told me yes. We wait for our pick up time and no one was there. I called and I was told they need thirty minutes. We waited. Called again after no driver and we were told the driver was on the way and he would call us. I called back after 5 minutes and they told me the driver waited and left. We were outside our hotel Room the ENTIRE time - no one was there except taxis! I called the company and told them to cancel the service because they stood us up. The person answering the phone said he couldn't do anything and he was just updating me!!! Updating me on what?! No driver was there and no one called me at all!!!! He even gave me a bizarre number he said he tried to give them more time! Not sure where that number came from and I asked him where he got it. I had my confirmation in front of me with my only cell number! Liars!!!! They are unprofessional and not helpful at all! Terrible!!!! Stay away from this company! Just returned from NYC. Jet Black Drivers were friendly and informative. Yes one driver drove a bit fast for my taste. We were his last ride before he went home to sleep. Buyers, beware. Jet Black will email you a quote. This DOES NOT include tolls or gratuity. We did not read the fine print of the agreement. They add 20% gratuity and tolls to your final bill making it at least $20 more than the original quote. Keep this in mind when comparing car service. We tipped our driver 30% having not read the fine print, then next day realized tip was added to final emailed bill. Hey Jet Black, include the tip in your quote, then you won't upset customers. Probably the worst service I've ever had! We needed a car to get to and from the airport for our Hawaiian honeymoon. First thing that went wrong I reserved a Mercedes s550 for both rides, the car that showed up was a Chevy suburban or something to that affect. The driver of course comes late, that's strike 2. We made it ontime even though I could walk faster than he drove and still had to pay the same price for a beat up truck instead of the Mercedes. Whatever at this point. They did call us the day before we were returning to confirm our ride back which was good. So after a ten hour flight back home the driver calls me saying he's waiting for me in the driveway. What? We are at the airport going home not going to the airport!! Now I'm stuck at the airport and he says he'll drive there but I'm not waiting an hour to an hour and a half for a ride home!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THESE ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS WHO STEAL YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU STRANDED. Complete fraudsters - DO NOT USE. Booked and paid for services which were not received. Arrived to Newark, and even though I'd paid for a luxury SUV, a people carrier with baby seats arrived. We got to our hotel quickly, so not too upset. But the pick-up never happened. We were stood outside of the hotel, only to eventually get a phonecall to tell us the car couldn't get to us, so we'd have to walk 2 blocks to meet him (even though I'd paid to be picked up from the hotel?). When I asked if the driver could come and help us as we had 5 suitcases, I was laughed at and told no, and that if I couldn't get to him within afew minutes he would drive away (which is a joke given he was late in the first place). I said that I couldn't get to him that quickly (times square in the afternoon with that many cases, what do you think?!), so was told that he was leaving, and when I asked if I would be getting a refund then, there was a laugh and then the call went dead. I have tried on probably close to 20 occasions to get a response from them, but I just get ignored constantly - so they've basically robbed me of $120. read more

According to their website it was supposed to be a Lincoln MKZ or similar luxury crossover. What picked us up was a Honda Accord. We took it because we wanted to get to our hotel. We didn't get the driver that was supposed to give us background about NYC. NO!! We got the guy that my wife had to chat up so he wouldn't go to sleep. Would never recommend to anyone! I had just landed and was looking for my Uber and a guy had legit Uber signage and said he was with Uber and took me to a car. I asked several times how to pull this up on Uber and he said just get in and we will get it. So I got in and the driver asked me to put my address in his phone as he had taken off. I asked again if this would be pulled up on my Uber so I could pay through that. He said yes that address will sync to Uber. I saw the meter (on his phone) up to 35$ (with several miles to go) and told him that when I pulled Uber up it was only going to be a 30$ ride. He told me there are different types of Uber's in NYC and this was Uber black which is more expensive. I knew it was fishy from the get go, but I asked the alleged "Uber driver" how long he had been Ubering. He simply said since 2003.... I said Uber hasn't been around that long and he said "oh I meant 3 months". Regardless, I did make it to my destination in one piece but I was lied to and overcharged.
