Got a 14in. mushroom and sausage pizza with beer batter crust. Tasted like Costco pizza with the difference being Costco pizza is about 1/3 the price. Not sure how they justify the "artisan" label as it was very basic, chewy crust, basically like eating lots of bread with some marinara and cheese melted on top. Kind of spendy too. $31? read more

Nice try. Just because you heard it, doesn't mean it was professional. Telling someone, that ordered on the phone in their car that the description is "on the website" is both meaningless, and unnecessarily argumentative with a paying customer. It was your fault. What you are serving...is objectively not carbonara. If you name something incorrectly, and a customer relies on that, it is your fault. All she had to do was say, "it's actually a garlic sauce with onion pasta--not carbonara", and a customer can make an informed decision. No worries boss, I won't be coming there anymore repeatedly every month--keep my money. I've been ordering from Jet City pizza for 18 years. I believe they're under new ownership since I noticed a little bit of difference in the spiciness of the pepperoni. It was a little extra hot. Dough and sauce is still very good. It looks like they're working on putting in new seating, which would be really nice to be able to have. The people that were there when I picked it up we were very friendly as well. I often have it delivered and it's always quick and fast. read more

This review would be five stars if not for the disorganization at the kitchen itself. We ordered for pickup and arrived after the time the order was predicted to be ready. When we walked in, the entire staff behind the counter stared at us like deer in headlights (several of them continued to do so the whole time we were there); and turns out no one had made our wings. So they had to make the wings while we waited - which is fine but was a bit disconcerting. Let's just say I was highly skeptical at that point whether our pizzas would be made to order. Turns out, though, that the pizzas were correct and very delicious. For about $30 a pizza, you really would hope they would hit the mark and be worth it. It was a bit of an odd experience at their Newcastle store but all turned out fine in the end. FYI they do have a couple of tables inside the store, but it's mostly set up for delivery and takeout. It's a pretty bare bones space. Note: We want to add that we are SO GRATEFUL to any place that includes nondairy options for their pizza. This is still very rare and even rarer is a place that can cook the nondairy cheese properly. Jet city nailed that. Thank you. read more

I agree with the person before me that said "I'll give it 2 stars because it's pizza" but that's the absolute bare minimum. Listen, I love pizza. On a horrible day I'll even eat Pizza Hut pizza without a complaint. This was by far the worst pizza I've ever had. I got an XL Hawaiian - jalapeños on one side. * Either there are no jalapeños on this pizza or they're hiding (hopefully not on my partners side of the pizza) * The dough was....doughy? It tasted like lunchables with butter and tossed with cornmeal. * The sauce... tastes like its from a can * floppy pizza * missing garlic sauce (that I believe I paid extra for) But, hey....I guess it's still...gourmet pizza(?) We discovered this pizza place around 2 years ago when we first moved into the Eastgate area. We were so thankful to have a great pizza place nearby. The pizzas toppings are generous, tasty and the crust is divine. Jet city pizza was consistent with their pizzas for about a year. Then they had a bad spell for about 6 months where their pizzas would only be half topped with cheese (even after asking for more cheese), a huge reduction in toppings and lower standards etc. We stopped going during that time because the pizza wasn't good enough for the price point. Recently, the pizzas have been amazing again! Abundance of toppings, heavy on cheese and friendly customer service. I do have to note that they had advertised 10% off on their Facebook page but when asked, they said it wasn't active (despite facebook clearly saying it was redeemable). So I knocked off a point for that. Jet City Pizza have a reward system via phone number. I received free bread sticks on my last order which was a fun, tasty treat! Overall, we enjoy Jet City Pizza and recommend them over other restaurants serving pizza in the area. read more

This place is much better than the reviews say. Yes, the website sucks, yet as annoying it is, calling in the order only takes a few minutes. Also, the margherita does NOT come with red sauce. It's on the menu listed that way. This isn't a negative statement, just a clarification. However, I docked a star because it's difficult to find the menu if you don't go to their website which is a bit unfortunate because I didn't know their sizes or really what I was ordering. I ordered a variety of items and was super excited to try this place out. -Hot wings, blue cheese This was probably the worst item. They are home in wings with the tips, which is fine, but the size of the wings and how little sauce was on them was very unpleasant. Also, because they were baked on aluminum foil, they were both chewy and ripped the foil off with them. Not something I would order here again. -Beer batter cheese bread sticks, marinara I really enjoyed these, the garlic butter is really good! Simple but delicious -Spicy Thai pizza I was really worried about this pizza, but it ended up being my favorite thing we bought! I absolutely loved the peanut sauce with the mushrooms and red onions. It was just absolutely delicious. They do NOT skimp on ingredients. The garlic and onions worked so well together and warmed up the peanut sauce. Then to finish off, the scattered basil really being a nice freshness. So different, and worth it. -Mediterranean pizza That's a lot of olives. Olives with olives and more olives. It's a salty pizza, but honestly... it's not bad! The herbed spread on the bottom was soooooo good, but I did start picking off olives to get to the spread. In total, the order took about 45 minutes to arrive, and the driver was very kind despite waiting in the rain. Overall, this will definitely be a place we will check out more! We are still fans of Jet City but there have definitely been some changes made to the pizzas. Not necessarily in a bad way, but we loved the attention to details which are now a hit or miss. The beer-crust dough is soooooo chewy it could serve as a breadstick side dish and lacking any seasoning. Love a bit more crispiness because it makes the pizza without it it's hard to pick up. Placed our order over the phone and the young woman answering/taking orders obviously dislikes her job. Very rude and no manners. Just hangs up at the end of the ordering. Next - we almost always order a medium-size half Jumbo Jet and half Deluxe Hawaiian. I requested a substitution of red onions for yellow. No big deal, right? Yeah, it didn't happen, even though it's on the ticket. Plus, the Deluxe says sun-dried tomatoes. Nope....none. Finally, we had a $5 coupon in GREET Newcastle magazine for any order. The young lady says it has to be a minimum of $30. No where on the coupon does it state that! So, I order a side of garlic sauce for over $2 - score. OK, done. Nope. Another (much friendlier) young lady calls back a minute later asking which side of the pizza do we want the garlic sauce on. I had originally asked for it in a separate container. She says ok but the previous gal hadn't included that in the order. Plusses are: quick delivery and friendly drivers, hot food. However, $38 for only a medium pizza if alot! read more

This is REAL, good pizza!!! REAL because it isn't like those chain pizza places. The sauce! The cheese! The crust! OMG! My son and I are basic(which means we are picky), so we always get pepperoni but even the pepperoni was extra good. I am slightly disappointed in what I got today for lunch. I ordered the personal pizza with cheese and pineapple on the beer battered crust and it was not nearly as tasty as usual. I would have ordered the small pizza but it was 18 bucks which was super expensive to me, I don't remember it being that pricey the last time I ordered. The dough on the one I ordered today was just too thick all around was not very flavorable. Which leads me to believe that maybe they didn't use the beer battered crust, maybe it was their normal crust ? Anyways, there was not enough cheese and too much bread. I don't think I'll be ordering one of those again. I plan to try this place again hopefully, but am really hoping it's as good as it was when I first came here because it really was the best pizza I ever had. Summary: Great pizza, good service. This is our go-to pizza place. Between the fantastic crust and rich sauce, we've rarely had a pie from them that wasn't brilliant (but still great). We often find that the staff work hard to make things right- for example, after ordering the first time, they called us to make sure that we had not accidentally mixed up "Pepperoni" with "Pepperoncini". I just discovered this spot after moving to Newcastle and it's quickly become my favorite pizza place. It's super convenient in the shopping center with QFC so there's always tons of parking and if you go in and order you can do your grocery shopping while you wait for your zza to finish baking. The staff here are always super chill and friendly. The pizza is delicious though a little bit on the pricier side. It lasts me a while as I only eat 2 slices at a time so I feel that it's a good value. The hand tossed crust is amazing. I've had their pepperoni and margarita pizzas and would definitely recommend both. The latter is gluten free in case you care about that. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because 2 of my pizzas were incorrect on my last order even though I ordered in person and repeated it a few times. It was still good though so it's not that big of a deal. Definitely will continue returning and would recommend this spot. read more

It would not be a bad option to ask for extra tomato sauce. they go a little light on the tomato sauce otherwise. definitely get extra large if you have three or more people.
