I called in our pick-up order and the staff we intereacted with both on the phone and in person have all been lovely. They have a couple of dedicated spots in the shared parking area and a couple of benches i side if you need to wait for your order. Two liter bottled sodas are for sale in the cooler near the cashier. No eat-in space. Take away only. The crust is thin on the bottom with a nice crusty edge and a good 'chew'. Not too much. The pie is not exactly 'foldable' like a NY style, a little thicker than that. The sauce is a little sweet with a good amount of toppings. The veggies on my pizza were crisp. I walk the trail behind the pizzeria almost daily, and on certain days I get a pleasing aroma wafting my way of pizza dough and meats, and often wonder if the place is good or not. I decided to do a search around me for some pizza joints, and this one popped with some decent reviews. Figured why not. It's just down the road a few miles, so here I am. As soon as I entered, I kept hearing a vaguely familiar voice... but no way... can't be... couldn't be... and then a face emerges from the back room to the counter and I was right. It was NOT Donald Trump. But man o man it was a spot on impersonation and quite comical too. It was complete with Trump's view of Covid as a weight loss program- it was comedy gold. Ya gotta have fun and laughs, know when not to take things too seriously. Ah yes... back to the pizzas. I ordered two pies, one with a meat medley and the other like a Hawaiian style topped with pineapples (yes...pineapples taste great on pizza)! Both scrumptious with every bite. I got regular crust, where I normally ask for a thin crust at other places, but needed a true test. I also got an order of wings. Took them home and enjoyed them down to the last bite (over a couple/few days-sheesh peoples-I ain't that bad!). All in all, a great experience and a place I would definitely come back to. Ordered a delivery order from Frankies' , got zero communication from them for over an hour. No food was delivered. And then after cancelling my order I received an angry phone call from the restaurant asking why I was cancelling the order after it was delivered seemingly angry and acting like I was trying to defraud them. Received a delivery order last night, the Frankie's special and hot wings, and it was a significant improvement from the last time I had the same meal over a year ago. The pizza seemed more 'solid', whatever that means to you, but it wasn't limp when you pull out a slice. The cheese was noticeable and tasty when you chewed it. The crust wasn't sloppy, but just thick enough to manage all the toppings without falling apart. The hot wings were much better than last time. There was actual meat on the bones and the light amount of hot sauce was nice, because they provide a small side cup of both hot sauce and ranch dressing. Which was perfect if you want to dip in one or both of them. It's been a while since I last order from Frankie's because of these things being an issue, but now Frankie's has my attention as to why I used to brag about them all the time when I moved to this area. This place is sitting at 4 stars, and I concur. I was a bit nervous. I first saw the North Bend location close to 20 years ago, ironically on my way to The Pizza Place which no longer exists. Being a near senior man, I've seen a lot of pizza places go in my time and even a place like Pizza Hut that still exists, tastes nothing like it did when I was young. The reviews here had me concerned, some don't like the sauce, other claim they skimp on toppings and most say it's over priced. Personally, I loved the sauce. My pizza wasn't covered in toppings, but I could assume there was a time when they were more hearty and the crust was pretty tasty. It did have a slightly sweet taste I didn't like, but all together I would give the Pizza and A. The service was also super friendly, again worthy of an A. My issue was the price. My two go to places for pizza if you want a life changing pie are Flying Pie in Issaquah and Pizza Gallery in Burien. Both give you better pizza and more of it for the same price. A small pizza at Flying Pie is about $20, but here is the kicker. It's 4 slices and I challenge you to eat more than 2 slices without feeling like your gut will explode. Pizza Gallery has a Medium Pizza for the same price called The 5 Pound Masterpiece and if that name doesn't make you curious, I suggest you get a couple friends and try it. Hands down the best non gourmet pizza around. Yes, I would consider coming back to Frankies , but only with a good promotion. A's across the board except for price and value. No one should starve, but I think restaurants have been making far more profits since recovering from covid. Then again, a friend of mine bought a house in Maple Valley in about 95 for 200k. I doubt you could hardly put that much down on a house in the area these days and make a dent. read more

Try this place for the first time this afternoon, and I was not disappointed. Tucktaway in a small strip mall off of Maple Valley Highway in Maple Valley. This place was very convenient to where I live. I ordered the 16 inch Frankie special. It was it was nicely layered with toppings and bake to perfection. I like a thin crust, and this seem to be perfect for this pizza. I don't like too much dough as it tends to make the pie feel chewy. This will now be a local favorite and I look forward to my next time. Highly recommend it! read more

Great balance of toppings to Sauce and good amount of cheese.We do often Ask For a little extra cook time, because otherwise I find it a little soggy by the time we get it home and out of the box. It's been a long time since I have stopped eating pizza part of the way in and thrown it away, but that's where Frankie's landed. Premium pricing for a pizza, I was expecting more. They bury toppings under an overly heavy handed slab of mozzarella that tastes like low quality, pre shredded cheese you buy at the grocery store. Toppings tasted off and lacking in freshness and the pizza overall was between mushy and soggy. Chicken wings were rubbery and exceptionally disgusting. Absolutely horrible service. After waiting for almost an hour for our pizza, we were delivered the wrong pizza. By the time I noticed the delivery driver had driven off. I called Frankie's and after being treated very rudely by the girl who answered the phone. She then continued to hang up on me, telling me she was putting me on hold, twice, and then told me there was nothing she could do. Had high hopes. Honestly I thought this place was going to be great because of the reviews and reputation. We were excited to get out half and half Meat Si and Veggie pizza. The meat was good, the veggies were fine. But the crust wasn't cooked all the way and the cheese was barely melted. We tried reheating it up in the oven but it didn't really help. The crust tasted like they didn't salt the dough and the sauce tasted like tomato paste. I have had better pizza out of the freezer section. This definitely wasn't worth $20. I got Frankie's pizza for my son's birthday and they were super easy to work with, the pizza was very good, hot and fresh and was a big hit with a bunch of six-year-olds. The only downside to Frankies is in comparison to the other 8-9 pizza places within the Maplevalley area they tend to be a bit more expensive but the flavor and combinations are worth it. I don't remember the lovely gentleman who helped me order a bunch of pizzas for my sons party but he even looked to get me a better deal than what I had ordered to save me a few dollars due to the size of my pizza order. He didn't have to do that and I wouldn't have been any wiser but the fact that he did shows the values that they teach to their employees. read more

We tried this place for the first time last night after hearing from others how good it is. Got it home opened the boxes, both pizzas were beautiful. Unfortunately I picked up one slice and half of my toppings slid off, both pizzas were very soggy , mostly in the middle, but we had one that the outer crust was doughy and undercooked. It was a little pricey which I don't mind, but too much for soggy and undercooked. We will maybe try again. One reviewer says she asks for a little more cooking time because she had the same issue.
