    Black manhattan
    Nayia R.

My pics are blurry bc I dropped my phone and my camera is all messed up. Anyway, I've been here many times and it's always a pleasure. I can't say enough about this place. I came on 2/23/26 after work needing to getaway from having a hard day. Perfect place to do it. David is exceptional! I love the spill he gives when he introduces on the menu and goes over the items. I was there for HH. I let him know I wanted a cocktail and he made me his favorite, Black Manhattan. So good, the best manhattan ever! Then the pasta I got was so dang on good. I forget the name of it but just know, moving forward, every time I go there, I'm ordering these two items. I think they just got a new regular customer. It has nice vibe and great setup.

    Fried burrata

Great food and service! Adam was our server and he was great! We had the fried burrata (special), the truffle fries, Penne Alla Vodka, and the Risotto con Porcini (special). Everything was fabulous!! Unfortunately I forgot to get pictures of the main dishes. We also had our toddler with us and they were very kind with offering smaller sized portions for him. We will absolutely be back!

This place is a go to for us! Their happy hour is great, and they often have specials where you can find lamb, which they make really good! The staff is very friendly and attentive, they make you feel like we've know them forever! It does get pretty busy during the week, specially at the bar which is where we sit, so make sure you hurry there!

    We loved our pre-dinner cocktails!

The food and service by Adam were outstanding, we all said at the end of the meal we would come back. It's definitely a Renton gem, highly recommend it.

    Lava cake

I like that they have carbonara on the menu and it is made with actual eggs, it was good but I would've liked more salt. I ordered the lava cake and that was delicious. I also had the dinner salad with the blue cheese. It was refreshing. We came in on a Saturday before the dinner rush so we were the only ones in the restaurant. The hostess was lovely but we asked to be moved to the bar because that's the only way you get the happy hour prices. Even though it was very slow it still seemed like a whole between drinks and such. Not terribly bad, but for being the only ones, it was slower than I anticipated. The place is big and quiet. We enjoyed it, but nothing stuck out as special.

    Linguini with clams

Very old building in the heart of downtown Renton. Biggest problem is lack of parking so plan accordingly to drive around the block because the few parking lots are always full. They have a full bar, pretty extensive wine list and a nice size menu. Bread and dipping sauce are complimentary and the balsamic oil mix was delightful. I decided on linguini with clams. It was good, plenty of clams but a little too much red pepper for my taste. Others might think it just fine. My husband got spaghetti bolanease and said it was good. We ended with panna cotta with a berry mixture on top which our server said was made in house. It was probably the best part of the meal. They have pizza as well and we thought at some point we'd like to go back and try that.

We kicked things off with the truffle popcorn--my go-to starter here. Light, warm, and perfectly kissed with truffle oil. Not greasy, just addictive enough to keep reaching in between sips of wine. Then we ordered the artichoke cheese dip. Warning: it arrives piping hot (our server kindly gave us the heads up). We dug in anyway and immediately learned patience is a virtue here. Once cooled, it's gooey, creamy, and totally worth the wait. And because conversations just kept flowing, we added the meatballs to the table. Hearty, flavorful, and the perfect "something more" to balance the lighter bites. Service was spot-on--attentive enough to make sure we had everything we needed but never intrusive. I also love how this spot works for so many moods: girls' night, solo bar hangs, or even patio time with pups. Overall: cozy, versatile, and always a solid pick when you want to sip, snack, and chat the night away.

As for the wine, whatever house savignon blanc they offered us was delicious. The salads were good. The pastas less so. One was a spaghetti with meatballs. The balls were good, the spaghetti was mush. The other was chicken Alfredo which tasted like a frozen meal. We also had two cakes to choose from for dessert but I didn't have any. The staff was nice and I understand it's hard to manage such a big group but they tried hard.

Popped by on a Wednesday afternoon for a few glasses of vino. I've tried both their signature red and mix flight over the past months, loved it everytime. My friend got the red flight and I went for their mix flight. But I noticed they have raised their price from $10 (Mix flight) and $15 (Red flight) by $5 to $15 and $20 respectively now. Also, a little -0.5 star because for some reasons, all our drinks have sediments/cork particles in our red wines (see picture). It's not in a particular red wine, but pretty much all glasses of red wine...... that kinda ruined the experience a little when the cork crumbles get in your mouth. The service is pretty great on this slow day since we were the only table here. They brought us water and refilled it for us timely as well without having us to flag them down for it. All in all, still was a pleasant experience with a little bummer with the cork crumbles in our wines.
