    Tandoori Pizza
    Jacques I.

I'm glad I discovered Z's Pizza, thanks to a friend who ordered pizza from here when I was at her place. The pizza was delicious, so had to make it my own pizza spot for the next time I placed a pizza order. Z's Pizza is located in Crossroads, close to the shopping center in the small business strip near Michael's. I ordered the tandoori pizza and the cheeseburger one, and asked that the pizzas come without onion. They had a special for two large pizzas for $35, which is a good amount of pizza for a great deal. I was told the pizza would be ready in 15 minutes, and it indeed was. Although the staff was nice and they showed me the pizzas before I took them home, I learned that it sadly included onion after closer observation. Gah! So I sucked it up and ate the pizza with onion, which was fine and it was still tasty, but darn, I really wish it didn't have the onion since I hate onion! Particularly for the cheeseburger pizza, the onion was heavily loaded with it. I'd order pizza from here again, especially since the menu is large with a lot of different options to choose from. I'll just make sure to emphasize the no onion request again and again!

ORDERING PIZZA BY PHONE AND ESPECIALLY IN PERSON IS SO 20TH CENTURY! I have been coming to this place for years at the Crossroads Shopping Mall in Bellevue, located at the separate small eastern strip mall just west of 158th Ave NE. It has undergone at least three incarnations that I can remember through the years, but always with the same phone number...NOT. Apparently they changed their Order Line phone number. It originally was "Pietro's Pizza" during the '70s and '80s.. But it has always been a semi-strictly takeout place with little room for sitting down while patiently waiting for your pie(s). But no matter, it now is very easy to order off their website. And I believe they also have an app (who doesn't). BUT TO GENERATION Z, EVERYTHING IS AUTOMATIC, SYSTEMATIC, H-AI-DROMATIC I like the way their website is laid out, with every menu item shown in rectangular portrait mode (similar to Yelp photos on business feeds). It also tells you an exact time when the pizza is ready. Then you can come in and pick up your pie. My last pie (Saturday, August 9, 2025) was promised ready at 22:00. I came in right at 10 PM and it was ready (see pix). You can also still order the ancient, antiquated, obsolescent, old-fashioned way, either by phone, or in person at the cash register. There was quite a line of people waiting inside. Maybe that's why they call it (Generation) Z's Pizza . During slow times, the friendly staff may let you eat inside as well. But most of the time, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, the fastest way is to preorder online, or at least by phone (takes longer, sometimes with busy signals), pick up your pizza at the promised "ready" time, then leave. GET READY FOR PIZZAI! If they don't already, perhaps they will have AI bots manning the phone lines with no busy signals. This way the employees are not distracted from Pizza preparation. In 10 years, they will probably only have your AIexa automatically order your pizza when she senses you're hungry, with AI pizza ovens, and AI drone home delivery. No more manual ordering, no more pick-up, no more "pizza patience", no more cash registers and probably no more employees.(see the 2004 Will Smith movie "I, Robot.") NOT JUST ITALIAN, BUT INDIAN PIZZA TOO, AND ALL THAT JAZZ They serve Indian pizza as the Crossroads neighborhood in Bellevue is mainly Indian immigrants who work at Microsoft. But they also serve more traditional Italian pizzas historically (and sometimes hysterically) favored by Americans. But not just pizza, also calzones, salads, breadsticks, drinks, and all the other usual suspect items that you expect to find at a pizza joint. And it all tastes good. Their custom made pies are the best price value. But you can also order your custom pie as well. But expect to pay more on a per topping basis. They also have old-fashioned human delivery for an extra fee.

Called on Thanksgiving because I had just moved my daughter to the area and this was going to be dinner. 1. Grateful they were open. 2. They had great reviews for their pizza and the crust. have a nice conversation with who I think was the owner as I waited for my pizzas to come out and talked about the local area in the schools. Loaded my pizzas up in the car and the 10 minute drive to my daughters house almost killed me because the pizza smelled so amazing! When we opened it up, it looked amazing. It tasted amazing and we definitely had it for breakfast as well.

I asked the person taking my order and she suggested the veggie melt or Mediterranean that they can take the meat out. I opted for veggie melt and they have lots of options for toppings and sauces . I got the works and added the spicy ranch. Second order was the chicken avocado wrap and did the same with the works topping. Our food did get a little soggy by the time I got home and opened it. The many locations in the Seattle metro area have opened very recently, with this location in Redmond being the easiest to get to for me. To continue the theme of a sandwich dinner, I decided to walk to the nearby Potbelly to pick up a couple of sandwiches, but mainly to satisfy my craving for a genuine hand scooped ice cream shake. I carried it back to the apartment, and provided a nice repast for us on a Sunday night. First, the vanilla and strawberry shakes ($5.59 each) were very good. It uses hand scooped vanilla ice cream, mixed with strawberry syrup and milk in a blender. The vanilla shake was better than the strawberry, mainly because the strawberry syrup didn't really add as much flavor as I would have liked...but the base was excellent, using good ice cream. Cubano ($10.99), mixing ham and pulled pork with swiss, toasting it, then adding mustard and pickles. Cubano ingredients, but no sandwich press and the bread was wrong. Since I knew it wasn't authentic, decided to also add giardiniera, which was my mistake...it tasted fine, but completely overwhelmed the sandwich. Toasted Italian ($10.99), salami, capicola, pepperoni, and mortadella with provolone cheese. One can add any toppings you want. In my case it was lettuce, tomato, mayo. It's was a good sandwich. The bread for both sandwiches seems to be Torano, which along with Gonnella, are the two Chicago-area bakers known for their french rolls used to make subs and especially Italian beef sandwiches. This is different than most other sub chains that make their bread in-house. I thought the bread was fine, especially when toasted. Also the topping called hot peppers is really Chicago style giardiniera...really authentic...reminding me of Chicago. They also have a large selection of different soups, including a good beef chili I've had in the past. The store actually did remind me of sub shops from where I grew up, and thought the prices for the location were reasonable as well.

One of my friends and I have already had their location in Georgetown countless times so we were happy to recommend our choices for our other friend this Friday evening around 7pm. Welp, we came into very full seating inside an extremely tight yet cozy seating area if it weren't for all the noise from there being so many people inside. It was so full and more people kept lining up behind us that we decided to do takeout and eat our food on the hood of my car despite spaces opening up as we waited about 20 or so minutes for our food... did I mention the parking lot for this place was nearly full and spots were very unforgiving in elbow room? Also that it's peak dinner time? Anyway, you place your order on a lone kiosk up front which did contribute to the really long line forming near the outside entrance. Like their Georgetown location, they offer a ton of hearty donburi and some appetizers and soup. Staff were a little rushed with some orders and forgot to give me utensils when I requested them through the kiosk but this didn't affect my overall experience, as I went back and they were more than happy to give them to me. We got their unagi donburi, which consists of a ton of broiled freshwater eel with an umami seasoning and tender juiciness, all on top of a huge bed of rice and with some radish. One of my friends instead got their una-gyu donburi which is a mix of unagi and sukiyaki beef, though that means we all got their unagi. Eel wasn't too salty, and scales are very fine and small that you can just eat it as is. This was a warming, hearty meal that sat very well with me and my friends. For this location and the one in Georgetown, I am most certainly coming back for some more!

Definitely look forward to coming back for more. Not a large restaurant so the tables can fill up quite fast. Order at counter or kiosk and they serve the bowls to your table. You bus your own table after.

The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here

The restaurant was hosting an event, so part of the space was closed off, and service was noticeably slow. It took a while for the food to arrive. The khao soi was decent--not the best I've had, but still a solid choice. The Panang curry had a mild flavor with a subtle lime note and a touch of sweetness, which was interesting but not particularly bold. Overall, the food was okay, but unless you live nearby, it might not be worth the trip. If you do go, I'd recommend ordering a higher spice level, as everything leaned on the mild side. Good ambiance overall.

This time, my friends and I looked up this place on a whim and realized, "Oh it's so close to Crossraods! Why don't we just eat here then?" Also one of my friends was craving katsu that same day so we had to come here. You can use parking out on the nearby streets or at a nearby parking lot close to the building, or perhaps nearby Crossroads Mall parking if you're multi-tasking over there. It's a very casual feel inside with an ample number of tables for eating (some with some pretty odd walls separating them) and booths for larger groups. There's a ton of dishes you can get here like bento boxes, yakisoba, bibimbap and other things given it serves both Japanese and Korean food. I got the katsu bento box, which came with a ton of sides like rice, salad, yakisoba noodles, gyoza, egg rolls and shrimp tempura. There was also a choice to order just yakisoba, but I like how it's provided as a side for our bento. Everything was fresh, good, and delicious! My favorite was the katsu itself since it came and stayed piping hot while I was eating, and meat was juicy beyond juicy with the outer crust being mildly crunchy just as it should be. Yakisoba noodles were full of taste, and the fried stuff added a nice kick to the rest of the bento. I don't have anything to say on service here since it was quick and most utensils were self-serve.
