We went for breakfast on a Saturday Morning at 8 am. I did make a reservation because we had a larger group. Food 3/5: overall the food is ok and is very much a diner vibe. Some of the portion sizes were smaller, others large. They do have great kid options. We got a cinnamon roll, Mickey pancake, kids egg breakfast, and skillets. The cinnamon roll was good but didn't have a warm a doughy center like I really love with a fresh cinnamon roll. The other breakfasts were solid, no real notes outside of the biscuit being very dry and some of the fruit being bad. Service 5/5: our waitress was very accommodating. Our food came quickly and she overall did an amazing job. Ambiance 5/5: this place is so much fun, especially for kids. My kiddos loved watching the planes come in and land. We were in the corner, so we had a partially obstructed view, but is still such a fun atmosphere to be able to watch the planes come in and out. Overall this is more of an experience than a place to come back to for the food. The parking lot can get pretty packed, so be patient if trying to find a spot. I would absolutely make a reservation whenever you want to go here to ensure you get a table at the time you want. They are cash only, and they're transparent about that, so don't be surprised by that piece. read more

A hidden gem! This place is a very unique breakfast spot because you can eat a great tasting breakfast while watching jets land/take off. My BFF Kevin suggested this and as usual, it did not disappoint. I've tried most things on their menu and I have always loved their breakfast options. Great place to take visiting family or friends! Entertaining because of all the windows and being directly on the tarmac for small plane activity. Everyone in our group of four was pleased with the variety and quality of food. This place is novel. It has the charm of your local diner, but the exclusivity of a private airport hanger. That being said, while the service is impeccable and the staff are very friendly, I don't think the food is actually that good. We had a breakfast burrito and it could have honestly been a frozen one from the market. It's also clear they don't have fresh ingredients stocked as the condiments (including sour cream) was all in individual packages. That may also be what drove up the cost (along with the location), but I just wasn't that impressed. I did have a very good hot chocolate and it was fun looking out onto the runway, but other than that, I dont think this place is worth the usual 45 minutes to get a seat. Pro tip though - you can call ahead to put your name on the waitlist. So that will cut the time, but don't expect too much from the food. read more

Still a great view but many of the familiar faces we were used to in the service line were no longer there. Great service, wonderful attitude by all the staff. It is cash only, so you need to prepare. We ate breakfast and both of us had omelettes. They were well prepared and came with hash browns that you could add peppers, onions and cheese sauce to. We chose the biscuits for our side. Light and fluffy. This is a great place. I love Eggs Benedict and a whole section of their menu, "Bennies at the Jet", has numerous styles of Eggs Benedict. I went with Classic Eggs Benedict and was not disappointed. As busy as they were, this seemed completely reasonable and I appreciated the comfortable waiting area with seating and a coffee station. We went early on a Monday morning. It wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Which was good as we hadn't made reservations. The service was great and so was the food. I got the ham and cheese omelette with a biscuit and fruit instead of fries. It was a little pricey (15 for omelette and 3 for the fruit substitute). The fruit was very fresh!! The biscuit was soft. First time at the Jet Room with 2 small kids and 4 adults on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We had about a 30 minute wait, which was accurate from what we were told. Seating was right up against the window, which was nice for the kids to see if any planes were flying. Not much action happened, maybe towards the end, but that's fine. Food was average. The crab cake benedict was decent, but the crab cakes itself seemed dry. Kids enjoyed the Mickey Mouse pancakes, but hated the orange juice because it was too sour (adults tasted it and felt the same). They gave us apple juice instead and it was much better. Went on a Sunday morning and to say they were busy was a total understatement. I went around 9:30am and there was an hour and a half wait time. Luckily for me, I was a party of 1, so my wait time was around 25 minutes. I was sat at the hightop and my server was great! She spoke to me just like she spoke to the regular that came in and was seated next to me. The menu wasn't massive but there were enough options that I had a hard time choosing. I opted to go for what I know and got pancakes with bacon and a side of eggs with cheddar cheese. First of all, the pancakes were the size of the large plate!!! They were really good but I couldn't finish them. The bacon was the perfect combination of crispy and none crispy and the eggs were good. Amazing from start to finish! Of course a fun view of the airport, but the staff members were all extremely friendly and outgoing and the food was top notch! Amazing cinnamon roll! At first we thought "OMG, it's huge! How are we gonna finish eating that?!" But it was so light and airy and delicious that we devoured it rather quickly! I enjoyed a ham steak which was moist and flavorful and my mom had the crab cakes eggs Benedict which were excellent. Stopped in to grab a quick lunch before we flew home. The lady working the front was so friendly. They closed in a few minutes but she saw that I was in uniform and wanted a quick lunch before a day of flying. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap and it was actually fantastic. I'll admit, I was slightly surprised considering it's a small diner style restaurant inside an airport FBO. They were out of lettuce, so they asked if spinach was fine, which I felt was actually an upgrade. The fries were just your average diner fries but they did the job. The weekend brunch rush is no joke here! We waited about 45 minutes, but you can order togo/take out now for no wait. Awesome views of the airplane driveways making a unique dining experience and great, bright lighting throughout. Classic breakfast and lunch items to enjoy and they are doing takeout/delivery currently. We got an order of the cheese curds paired with a spicy aioli. The skillet was on target, and we had to take some of it home as we could not finish it. Watch out for the plate-sized cinnamon roll, we shared it as it was that big. Our orders were taken promptly, the waitstaff was fun and personable despite being busy. The coffee cup never ran dry. Responsive service and the food came quickly. Table service was great , food quality was terrible sandwich was so dry ( see picture) how do you make a rueben without thousand island dressing? So no problem I asked for some to put on the sandwich myself. Then got charged , no big deal but was told by the "man bun" boy host oh we charge for dressing. REALLY, REALLY? If you have an option and aren't flying out go anywhere but the JETROOM. My wifes sandwich was dry as well but she drowned it in ketchup , ketchup on a turkey sand if that tells you anything. I will say that with the place's popularity, the wait time was a little bit much considering the skillet I ordered was under temperature and a bit on the cooler side. We just had breakfast at this establishment and we will never be back. The food was subpar at best, looked much better than it actually tasted. The crab cakes benedict was mushy and not very flavorful. The biscuits and gravy was dry and also lacked flavor. The star of the experience were the pancakes and our amazing waitress. However, the reason I am taking the time to write this review is the host. He was one of the worst I've ever experienced. He was rude and not welcoming. From our first interaction to simply add our names to the waitlist. The host was short and seemed to rather us not be there. We knew it was not likely to be a good experience and well, it wasn't. On the road for.... how many hours has it been? We were in need of a quick lunch so of course we turned to Yelp and found Pat O'Malley's! We almost turned around when we realized it was literally IN AN AIRPORT. I was also mocked by my boyfriend for "jet room" not tipping me off. But before we turned around back onto the highway and back to Yelp we thought about how this place has 4 stars and 140 reviews... we decided to give it a shot. Seriously coolest Yelp find ever. Yes, it's in a teeny tiny airport in Madison, WI but that's kind of the cool part. There was a 40 minute wait for a table (ended up being shorter) so while we sat in what was basically a terminal, and did a little work on our computer, we watched planes land and take off right in front of us. This was also the case after we got seated. It was pretty cool. We started with an order of the cheese curds (because, when in Wisconsin) and I got the chicken caesar wrap as my lunch. The cheese curds were soooooo yummy. Get 'em. They came with a few different sauces and we fought over who got the last one. The chicken caesar wrap was not as incredible. While the dressing was tasty and the veggies were fresh, the chicken was pretty chewy and didn't taste totally right. I'd stick with burgers or breakfast on your visit. One other cool thing!! They have something called the "Hundred Dollar Burger" which sounded almost too good to be true. For $100, you get a 30 min plane ride for two people and a credit for lunch afterwards. If we weren't on a time crunch we probably would have jumped at it. Everyone was incredibly friendly and I'm sure the long wait was due to them only using around half of their tables (for social distancing purposes). Don't be afraid to stop in!
