Great experience. I came to see John about getting my 2019 MT-07 ECU flashed this week. After I installed my full exhaust and my DNA air filter, my bike wasn't running as optimal as it should. I called him that morning, got there in about 45mins, dropped off the ECU, went to grab a drink, came back 15mins later and it was done. Now my bike sounds better and runs so much better. I was referred to John by another Yamaha rider (FZ8) who was very pleased with the work John had done on his bike. My bike needed service as it left me stranded, it wouldn't start back up when I reached my destination and had to call AAA to have it towed home. It was nothing that John wasn't able to cure with a full tuneup including chain & sprocket. But since I've passed the 80 age mark, I decided to treat myself to an ECU Flash and I'm so glad I did. No hesitation now when I shift gears and the response is fantastic. I haven't had a chance to determine if my top end has improved yet but am looking forward to testing it to find out. After asking around, I have little doubt that this guy knows what he's doing. In fact he's probably the most capable bike mechanic anywhere near Camarillo. But he's a rude, arrogant ass that had my bike for 8 days and never touched it. And when I asked about it he was actually aggressive on the phone and told me to come get it. If you can't get to my bike, don't tell me to bring it in, which is a huge pain in the ass with a lifted pickup. And then when you fail, don't be a d@#k about it. read more

I brought my 2014 Gsxr 1000 in for a dyno tune and I couldn't be any happier. I came in at about 155 and was running extremely rich with a horrible ecu flash from another shop. John reflashed my ecu and made me a custom map. I would have been happy with about 165. John got me up to a 172 hp! And 82 pounds of tq. john at jet tunning is a liar he told me he rebuilt all four of my carbs off my gsxr 1100 he charged me 480 the carbs never worked and i had to take the to another mechanic he showed me the old floats full of gas which were never replaced when the floats fiil with gas the carbs dont work correct he wass too cheap to pay for 18 dollar new floats he told me he completley rebuilt the carbs he is a pathalogicall liar im glad ive got a new mechanic i think john is on a bunch of pills thats why hes fucked up and lies and does half ass work be carefull if you have him do work i caught him in a big lie he is super lazy read more

I brought my 2001 victory to the guys over at Jett tuning. After being told that they charge just for looking and giving an estimate, I was a bit nervous about the cost. After receiving a call a few days later, they called and said they only spent 8/10ths of an hour looking at it and charged me very little. When I went to pick up my bike, I sat down with the owner(I believe) and he walked me through what was done to my bike and what direction I should go next with it. The dude working here quoted me 600$ for a 10k mile service on my Yamaha R3 2017. That is a completely outrageous price for the amount of work it takes. The dealer quoted me at 210$ out the door. I don't appreciate being swindled and treated like an idiot. Don't bother coming here for regular maintenance. Only come if you need specialty race tuning and have a ton of money to blow. read more

This is the only shop with a Dyno for 100 miles. If you don't think that matters, John turned my garbage revving CBR600RR into the smoothest revving bike I have ever had the pleasure of riding. I brought them 2 bikes for basic tuning work and a few other small items. Not sure why i had such a bad experience, as i chose Jett based on their consistent 5 star reviews and apparent power commander expertise, but it is what it is. I had to bring each bike back multiple times for the same things I asked to be done right from the start. In the end, after $2000+ in costs and many months of time, I am missing fasteners, still correcting their mistakes, and neither bike runs right. I do not trust that their staff has the interest and/or ability to do the work, so all I can do is provide this warning to others read more

I do not easily give a 5 star on Yelp but there is no question in this case. I needed my ECU flashed or I wanted it flashed I should say lol. The folks at Jett tuning not only flashed the ECU on my 2012 R1 which made it an entirely different bike to ride through the entire powerband but they were so knowledgable and helpful that I was seriously impressed. I have been here multiple times and every time left completely satisfied. My first project with them was a 2017 R3 which they installed a much needed front and rear Ohlins suspension and added the auto tune to my power commander. The suspension upgrade was exactly what I wanted. My most recent trip was for a 2017 FZ 10. I had John flash the ECU, install FTECU bike side harness with active tune and dyno. My problem with the bike from factory was the throttle response. John smoothed that puppy out and gave me 14 more hp. Couldn't be happier. The FZ is now predictable on acceleration with more power. John and his staff is top notch and very please with them. What I like best about them is their communication skills from keeping me up to date to getting my thoughts out me (hard for me to describe my expectations sometimes) but John always ask me questions so that we are both on the same page.
