Please support your local independent motorcycle shop, we don't have many honest competent ones left. The tire change was quick and proper, done when they said it would be done and very professional. If I'm ever in over my head on my own maintenance or labor I will definitely hit them up, they seemed well versed in all makes and models and had a good amount of jobs going. Always a great sign!

I had decided to get a starter bike, since I am just getting going again and did not want to drop $20,000.00 on a bike just yet (I have a teenager...they're expensive!). I was greeted by Hector, who was super friendly and accommodating and he showed me around the showroom. After looking at some bikes, I decided the CF-Moto 450SS would be a great starter, which I could eventually give to my son when I decide to upgrade. Hector was extremely helpful and Knowledgeable and made the process easy. His easygoing personality worked perfectly with me, because that is how I am. With his help I got through the application process, but I had to leave due to a prior appointment, with the promise of coming back the next day. The morning of the next day I received a follow-up call from the manager Kevin. Kevin and I hit it off right away, because we both love dogs and other animals (I work in dog rescue) and he had a great, friendly personality. It was nice not having to chase after someone to take my money (I'm looking at you Magnum). I set up an appointment with him for the next day to sign the deal. Kevin and Hector made the process completely painless and like I said, I cannot recommend them more, great crew at Tri-County Powersports! Thank you Hector and Kevin, you guys rock!

We drove all the way (97…read moremiles) from SW Riverside county to buy a used 2025 ninja and she waited till we got there to mention we couldn't take a test drive on the used vehicle. We had been in contact with this dealer for over a month AND called b4 we went down there. What an azz. She wasted at least 4 hrs of our time plus fuel. Jus warning others, she mumbled something her not knowing about no test drives until just at that moment and needing an appt and liability paperwork and that person was not there on Sundays. We asked if there was ANYTHING she could do and she just mumbled no. We drove 2 hrs each way and they never said a thing b4 hand about no test drives! What? She think we going to buy a used bike for cash and NOT take test drive? She is even dumber than I thought. Only 2 other customers on a summer sunday afternoon and other dealers being closed? They all must b that stupid. I'm surprised they sell anything at all And we were looking a Rebel 1000 too.We walked out and won't go back.

We've purchased 8 new BMW bikes over the last four years (three 1250 GSA's). Honestly - last week's visit here was a negative first experience for both my wife and I ... she rides an F700, Ural, R1250GSA, and an S1000XR (both do) ... so, I was encouraging her to sit on the new 1300. The sales rep seemed concerned (talked "at her" from a distance). Asking her to be careful sitting on the bike. Kinda insulting, she's an Orthopedic surgeon, flies airplanes, and has ridden all over Europe, BC, Mexico etc. on BMW motos. Premium Prices: Not a premium experience at all. 12k service on a 2024 GSA is $1031 Oh, and it's x 1.03 because they need to get another 3% out of you for "the privilege" of using your credit card. It's another $350 on top to flush the brakes. Service Receipt: incorrect Our service (receipt) paperwork owner's name is incorrect - but they're saying they can't correct it once it's paid for. Not okay. These aren't our people. Maybe they can be "your people?"

Had 2 Kawasaki jet skis serviced here and when I got to lake havasu they both would crank, but…read more wouldnt start. It seems like they were fuel starved and I suspected the mechanic had somehow shut off fuel supply during services and didn't restart. I called Chris at Simi service,, he took the time to help. looked up error codes, then spoke to mechanic. Turns out I was using wrong key fob on ea ski, had no idea they the wrong fob would crank the ski, but not start. I appreciate the time this shop gave me, they could have easily just said "bring them in." but Chris was patient and made a real effort to help in a situation where I was clearly frustrated.

worst service i have ever gotten. i walk into this store and i ask if i can get more info on a bike i liked for a possible purchase. they send me rex, right off the bat he starts asking me about my income,credit, taxes ect.(does not bother to start first by answering my questions first). i said okay im willing to submit an application for my bike questions to be answered. he gives me the application and i put my income and he starts to tell me what i can and cant place as income. i told him i have proof for the income, and he denies me to put it down and says i cant get the bike. so i leave and submit it online so some one else can help me. rex calls me wtf, and tells me yeah i remember you i can help you out with this application. tells me i should have placed this info in the first place(obviously he didnt want to make a sale so late in the night last time). rex runs my application and tells me i have to wait 1-7 days. i wait and call the store. for 2 weeks he kept on saying he couldnt talk right now and would call me back in an hr every time (about 3 times i called). i called them and told them i did not want to deal with rex and if i can get someone else to help me. they send me to the sales manager (i cant remember his name at the moment). he looked like a nice guy and he tells me he can make this sale happen at a good deal. i believed him, i was wrong. i meet in person with him and he tells me the same thing 1-7 days application.on the 4 day he calls me and says he recommends i place a down deposit to hold it (i left $100).for nearly 2 months he gives me the run around. first he tells me my credit is low and i cant get that bike. so im like okay can i stop by and select a different one he says yes. i show up that day and select another one and bring it to his attention. he tells me i dont want that less expensive one because it costs less there a chance i wont get approved (wtf.. Okay). he goes on to tell me that he got me approved with another company for the first bike i wanted. so i say yes he tells me that i would be able to come pick up the bike next week. i call him next week and he keeps giving me the ill call you back in and hr (i see where rex learned these skills from) so he calls me a week later and tells me he needs more info because i didnt get approved ( thought i was approved) i give him more info and tells me the same thing to call him next week. i call him next week and he tells me they are just waiting for the reply. for at least 4 weeks after the additional weeks of waiting he gives me more of the run around. excuse like i need more info, call you back in an hr, he doesnt work today, hes on lunch, im waiting on the reply, the creditor is on vacation, wont be back for a week or 3 ect. (after loosing a month of time on rex, and about 2 months more of my time wasted on the sales manager i didnt want the bike) i call him and tell him i dont want it , he tells me to give him 3 more days got me approved for sure ect. i tell him no i dont want it no more. i tell him to return the deposit he says okay it will take 1-3 days and if i could give him the card info, i go through the whole procces and hang up. 5 days go by (still im missing $100) and i call the store a different sales associated picks up and he tells me to give him the card info to re do the process and to wait 3 days. 3 days later i still dont have my money. i call the same sales associate picks up and i tell him the whole story how i fell disrespected,that i cant believe how they run business like that, is this the regular customer experience. he apologizes and says he will make my experience better and would get me approved on the loan and i wouldnt have to deal with rex or the sales manager. i tell im okay ill give him 3 days and if not i want my money back . i call him 3 days later and another employee picks up and says that he will call me back in an hr. i said no i want my money back i am not about to go through the run around. i told him that if they dont have my money back in my card in 7 days im calling my card company to get it back. the sales associate who couldnt pick up for an hr gets passed the phone. he tells me he sorry to give him a day. i tell him no that i fell really disrespected, that if they really wanted to make a sale or not, and that no matter what i wouldnt want the bike. i tell him that no discount or rates could make me deal with their incompetence, i told him imagine if i bought the bike and something went wrong when will you guys pick up to fix the issue, im pretty sure you guys would jack me and not fix the deal leaving me screwed over. he says sorry ask for my card info again give it to him and to give the 7days i said okay. i told them if its not there im calling my company. 7 days letter guess what its not there (surprise) i call my company they get my money back 7 days later. a day after that the sales manager calls me. ill try to post it on a second listing ran out of characters for theirbs read more

Usually people don't write good reviews about a vehicle dealership, neither car nor motorcycle. In the past as soon as the deal is done you are so stressed, you just want to hit the road and forget about the experience. I can testify that with Thousand Oaks Power Sports (TOPS) it is different. You will actually enjoy the process. I am not getting paid for this review nor do I work for TOPS or Triumph, but I was so impressed I thought I owed to the people who worked hard on my behalf. I had done all my homework and had nailed down the bike I wanted. I had checked the websites of other dealers for availability and decided to make TOPS my first stop. I did talk to other dealers but I could have saved a lot of time because TOPS made me the deal I wanted and I went home happy and NOT stressed out. You don't have to drive to Covina to get the bike you want. Peter Chapman worked with me the entire way through the process with getting the bike in from the warehouse and checked out in shop at the dealership. George Lampos helped me through the options available with the factory promotions. I was comfortable at the end of the day that I wound up with the bike I wanted at the fair market price. Rick Wright worked through the closing finance items for me. There was no pressure, I didn't feel rushed and they didn't leave me sitting around waiting for a decision from another department. The final paperwork was exactly as we discussed (no last-minute surprises). Everyone was professional and polite. All these guys turned out to be extremely easy to work with, trustworthy and listened to what I wanted. Plus, with a new bike purchase you get to spin the wheel, ring the bell and win a prize. It was pretty quick and painless and all the dealership folks made the process easy. I was cordially introduced to the Parts Department and the Service Department and they were friendly and helpful as well. There was quick and clear communication and no games. This was my 2nd new bike purchase from TOPS and everyone went above & beyond delivering my vehicle by putting in the extra effort you don't see much anymore. I went into T.O. Powersports to look for a green sticker bike as we are in the Navy and our current Quad is considered a red sticker bike. We are on a tight budget as we are Military but we wanted the best bike for our daughter. I was working with a Salesman named Rex he appeared to want to rush the sale the whole time rather than even ask why we wanted to buy this bike. We finally found a bike we liked on our own as we were not guided at all, with that said as soon as we did find it our salesman ( who seemed as though he was done helping us ) said I am going to have Matt help you from here. Matt was very attentive and polite and did his best to ask us if we had found the right bike that was going to serve our purpose. Matt did the paperwork on it and showed us the final figures and I was upset as Rex had told me this bike was used and it looked used as well. I asked about freight and prep on a used bike. Matt explained that the bike was a demo and comes with a full warranty and is sold to me as a new Motorcycle. I understand what he was saying but we would not have even sat down to do paperwork had we known it had those fees as we explained to Rex we were on a tight budget of 1800 dollars. I was so upset at this point I got up and walked out. Matt did try to keep me inside the dealership and even came outside the dealership and said if you could just come back inside he could get a manager and he was sure we could overcome this and find a bike for us that our budget will allow. I was tempted to come back in the dealership but I was to upset. Matt gave me his card and said he was so sorry for our experience and that that's not the kind of experience that the shop wants anyone to have. I wish that Matt had been my original sales man as I think I would have gone home with a motorcycle rather than a bad experience. Writting in addition to The first Rudy R .. the sales manager calls me and tells me he had gotten me approved for the first bike i wanted that all i had to do was to come down and sign for the bike and he reduced the price and adjusted the payments. he apologized and said this isnt how they do business. i said no . i told them i would never do business with them i had already gotten a bike financed from harley davison and hung up the phone. is it over. nope around ending january i received mutiple letters from various creditor that thousand oaks powersports had submitted multiple applications with them and i was denied. after nearly a month they continued to submit my application with out my consent. i had 5 inquiries before going in to the store and came out with 16 inquiries. so not only did they screw me over with time, driving over there more than 3 time and wasting gas, disrespected me, angered me, they also managed to damage my credit score. i woud not recommend any one to come and do business here. they are incompetent, disrespectful, will try to screw you financially (the only reason they called back is because i got my money back from them), a wast of time. there are plenty of other business that are trying to make sales and will work more with you make that sale happen as fast as possible. alot of other people complain about similar problems about this store. they get hidden by these other reviews. who are the only ones getting good customer service, because they are personal family members and friend. i have witness this in person and have over heard them talk about it. i would welcome people to ask and question me. i will more gladly be happy to answer them read more

My wife and I went into the dealership to look around as we are totally new to riding motorcycles and we were mainly looking at gear as we are getting ready to do a MSF course. Dillon was helping me with Helmets and he really did a excellent job explaining the differences between then and it amazed me that he understood how they were made, his knowledge was very pleasing and a total surprise how much knowledge he had for such a young guy. We then were looking at Bikes and were greeted by Matt he asked a lot of questions about our riding experience and when he found out we were totally new to our surprise he didn't try to push anything on us. He actually made us sit on different types of bikes to see how the feel differently and he was actually concerned that he got us on the right bike which came as a surprise to us coming from a salesman. we even told him that we were not ready to purchase he didn't just walk away he stayed engaged in the conversation of helping us out. We had originally had thought about the Honda Rebel 250 as that's what we will be learning on at MSF. Matt told us that it a great starter bike but he showed us the V-Star 250 and he told us they were very similar and both a great beginner bike. I don't know that we will buy a bike from them as we are on a budget and cant really budget for new right now and they didn't have any used v-star 250's but after such a pleasant experience we will always return here for our cycle needs and advice here as the staff earns a A+ in my opinion as they went above and beyond to provide us with information we needed. read more

I first took my bike to High Octane Motorsports for a carburetor cleaning and adjustment. After leaving with what I thought was a clean carburetor, I realized that the same sluggish/stuttering acceleration was still occurring. After troubleshooting the bike for a week, changing spark plugs and such, I called High Octane back to have the bike checked only to realize that they had merged with Thousand Oaks Powersports. After talking with the TO Powersports service department and bringing the bike in, they determined that the carburetor needed to be cleaned. After spending $380 to have the bike serviced at High Octane, TO Powersports which merged with High Octane now wanted to charge me another $400 to have the carburetor cleaned again, 2 weeks later. After talking with Steve, former High Octane owner now working for TO Powersports, I thought the issue was resolved and that TO Powersports would honor the work paid for by the company they merged with, but I was wrong. Steve and TO Powersports thought it would be fair to split the cost of the labor charges to redo the carburetor cleaning. To top it off, they had my bike for nearly 2 months and I had to call several times to receive updates on the progress of the cleaning. It also looks like they left my bike outside for 2 months as it was filthy dirty with bird droppings and dust all over it at the time of pick-up. They will never see my business again and I would strongly advise that they don't see yours as well. read more

I just picked up my Yamaha V-Star 650 motorcycle after dropping it off only a day previous to assess an issue with my rear tire. I was "stranded" in Thousand Oaks (I live in LA, not the valley), and expressed my situation to Brian, my customer service mechanic, as well as a few other employees. Not only did Brian and others express there empathy and that they would do their best to get my issue resolved as soon as possible, but they came through 100% in less than 24 hours! They absolutely did not have to put me at the top of their list, but they did. On top of that, their prices for the services were incredibly reasonable, and every single employee I encountered there on both the day I dropped off my bike and the day I picked it up were kind, approachable, energetic, and professional. I would recommend Thousand Oaks Powersports for their excellent service and customer service in a HOT SECOND. The meter assembly for the electrical on my 690 KTM went out totally with very low milage. Tyler, my service guy, went to bat for me to see if he could get KTM to take care of the repair/replacement. He did and they did it! I was surprised, even though the bike is very low milage, it's still 2 years old. The day before my bike was ready, my back went out. When Tyler called to say come and get it, I told him I couldn't pick it up for a few days due to my back. He said no problem...... he could deliver it if I wanted, he had a truck and my house was on his way home! fyi......... I employ 50 people in my manufacturing business so I know what it means to the employer to find someone like Tyler. The world of business today is all about service. Tyler went above and beyond what I expected. Next time you find yourself in the TO Powersports service dept......... ask for "TYLER" and give him a big "ATTABOY" pat on the back. I can recommend the service department and Rex Reinhard in particular, Rex has always responded to my questions quickly and courteously. They have performed several services and the bike always runs great afterwards. I believe they take their work seriously and it shows. Sure I could do most of the work myself but they do a great job and a second set of eyes is always a good idea. I ride my Triumph 100 miles or so everyday and I appreciate that they take my safety seriously. These people take good care of their customers, bought a new Triumph Bonneville there from Rex in sales and from start to finish process was painless and professional. No high pressure and very pleasant to work with. They give some great discounts when you buy your bike there and often have sales, the gear and selection is great. read more

I would like to thank a particular employee in the service department, who took a very frustrating situation and turned it around for me with his patience and understanding. Tyler in service was very understanding and sympathetic to my ongoing problem with my 2008 Yamaha TW 200. He did his best to enlighten me as to the many factors that cause the bike's chronic problem. He was also very accommodating in special ordering me a particular battery that may help the situation. He was a breath of fresh air in a world where most businesses just want to get you in and out as quick as possible. I hope he sticks around for a while. I'll continue to use T.O. Amazing place to go to! Excellent store with well rounded customer service. Extremely friendly staff who are there to help you. I have seen them perform excellent customer service to not only me but all other customers who were in the store. I completely reccommend getting your motorcycle serviced at this place. They dont cheap you out. They have a passion for motorcycles and will do their best to keep you interested in the hobby/sport. I own a yamaha vstar 650, Alex and his team in the service department have helped me fix issues that I have had with my aftermarket mirrors and even fix the raspy sound my exhaust was making. Kudos to Rex for giving me a very fair & painless transaction for the purchase my new Yamaha! The bike was delivered spotless, he introduced me to the service department & other accessory/parts sales staff, he went over the bike with me in detail & was genuine the whole way through. All in just under a few hours I was riding off on my new bike. After reading other comments that didn't score so high below & also with many other dealer's yelp pages, there always seems to be those consumers who expect such a great deal but they forget about the dealer needing to make a reasonable margin. I Just bought my first bike from TO power sports, 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure, The entire Staff there is awesome, Danny in sales, Hunter test rider guide, and Cory, Parts Manager are all Rock stars, they sure made me feel like one, Most painless pleasant experience ever buying a motorcycle, and I've bought over 20 in my life, no pressure and best price I could hope for, the guys there in all Departments made me feel like i was the only customer in the store. I love these guys they have always given me 5 star service. It is so good that even though I live in the westside I still drive 45 minutes out there to get my bikes which should tell you something. Their prices are cheaper on scooters than any other place and service was 5 star. When I got my first 125 2009 Buddy a year ago they gave it to me for $500 less than any other place. When I crashed my buddy a month ago they gave me the same model and year for the same price. Brett was amazing and drove all the way out to the westside to deliver for me. He communicated frequently and clearly in the weeks leading up. I highly recommend them. read more

Won't shop anywhere else! From day one i have felt like a part of the family and have been a loyal customer since. In 3 years I had one bad experience. Next time I went in they made good on it. These people complaining are idiots. If a family member pissed you off do you shun them out of your life? I didn't think so. They have a large staff of individuals who are willing to help get you on a bike and suited up properly. If you have one bad experience don't judge a bike on one small scratch. Cool off and get back in there and they will make it right and make you feel like a part of the family. read more

Bought a bike here about a year ago. They quoted me a price so I thought I was getting a good deal but ended up charging me $2,000 more than what they said and on top of that making me pay registration fees. Not only did they rip me off, they lied and told me some parts were fixed on the bike that weren't and hadn't been touched. Will never go back and I suggest if you don't want to get ripped off you probably shouldn't go there either. Save yourself the hassle and find somewhere else. read more

buying a moto is never easy you have to be certain, that's never easy to come to, you are uncomfortable & know the margins are small for the dealer, so you go in fingers crossed well let me just say george rex mary loan det, just were so damn great! when in next day my bike delivered, any concerns just talk to george, confused about numbers just ask mary, the best experience i've had buying a bike in years! & as for fees? my closing sheet has tax & lic, that's it! thank you tops!! read more

My wife and I have been visiting TOPS for 8 years. They treat us like family. They even open the door for us when they see us coming. We've bought two bikes there and the dealing was easy and fair. Our KTM recently needed some major engine work and it actually came back better than new. TOPS did a better job of routing some lines and positioning some electrical connections away from the engine heat than the manufacturer had. They care and it shows. read more

Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that you need to ask a lot of questions and get very specific about any recommendations or services they try to sell you. When I trusted their explanation, I ended up feeling misled and ultimately had to deal with the consequences. What made the situation even worse was the lack of accountability afterward. Rather than acknowledging the issues or taking responsibility, I felt like I was being given excuses and having the blame shifted elsewhere. I was particularly disappointed with my experience with service advisor Blake. I felt that he was not knowledgeable about the mechanical aspects of the work being discussed and, more importantly, that the information I was given was not accurate or transparent. I also had issues with the condition of my motorcycle after service. My bike was returned with scratches and damaged/stripped bolt heads. I had ARP gold bolts that were damaged during the service, and the damage was denied rather than being addressed. I ultimately had to replace the bolts myself. If you care about your motorcycle and expect your property to be treated with care, and you expect a service department to stand behind its work, I would strongly recommend getting everything in writing and thoroughly documenting your bike before leaving it here. My biggest issue isn't simply that mistakes happened--mistakes can happen anywhere. It's the lack of transparency, accountability, and willingness to make things right afterward that has left me extremely disappointed.
