If you're looking to buy a Harley, go somewhere else. I've been looking around me at bikes for a few weeks so i checked out the inventory at Ventura Harley Davidson and found one i was interested in.. on the site it said "schedule a test ride!" so i did; on Friday night.. I entered all of the information on the website and went to bed, including all of the information and photos for what i wanted to trade in. When i woke up Saturday morning i got my stuff together and checked the hours, 9am open. I got a phone call just after 9 am and it was "Taxi" asking if i was interested in coming in still and which bike I was interested in, i said yes! I'll be there in an hour. I pulled up at 10am and walked inside, told the staff i was here to see "Taxi" to test ride a bike, they said they were charging the bikes up and they needed to get my i.d. and my information, so i gave them what they needed and sat down after a brief look around. They then came back and asked me for the information on my trade-in.. i told them it was all in the email but i would give it to them again.. they asked if i rode the bike in and i said "no, I'm here to test ride today and if i like it we'll go from there. by this time I had been there for an hour. I asked how much longer this was going to take and if they had a snack machine or something to which they replied "No unfortunately we dont." should be about 20 more minutes. I left and went to go get food and came back a half an hour later. When i made my way back into the showroom i was greeted by the staff that said " we're still charging the bikes can you come back tomorrow on your trade-in? I said "No, i cant come back tomorrow, i scheduled this TEST RIDE yesterday, for today, i had now been there for TWO HOURS waiting to test ride a bike WTF do i need MY bike for?? i turned around and walked out. Apparently Chris was the one that got my emails but i never even saw him but he knew I was there. EFF this place. Worst dealer experience i have ever had. read more

First, a big THANK YOU to Adam and Dante! I came in a few weeks ago with my wife. We were looking at a used 2017 Road King. We were offered $5500 trade in for our 2004 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. While we were in the showroom, Adam pointed out a 2023 Road King and they said they'd give me $8000 on our trade in towards the new bike. Two weeks later, I got a follow up call from Adam. I went on Ventura HD's website and saw a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic that we really liked and called Adam back deciding to use the Ultra Classic as a trade in. This time, they dropped the trade in value by $1000 and would only give me $4500 for the trade in. The reason? "It's an older bike we're looking at." A bike 4 years older and more mileage dropped the trade in value by $1000?? What kind of crap is this? I remember Adam telling me to list my bike private party for $10,000 because of the pristine condition it was in. I waited for 2 hours to receive an email that Adam said Dante would send once he gets the pictures of the Heritage outside. In that same time frame, I was waiting for Adam to send me a purchase order via email. Two and a half hours later, nothing came. I go to my phone, and Dante had sent a text message of the pictures which I couldn't really see. He called me to tell me he sent them to my email, but it never came through. Adam and Dante, you each get to share a well-deserved star. I'm throwing in an extra star because you both did us a HUGE favor, and we're forever grateful to you both! Thanks to you guys, we're done with Harley-Davidson and the shenanigans at HD dealerships. We've had enough. A few days later we bought a brand new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster and WOW! Antelope Valley Harley quoted me $24,500 (before I did any negotiating) out the door on the same Low Rider S that these guys had marked up to over $25,000. Every Harley dealer I've searched still has 2023 models on the lot but these guys are charging $1000 dealer mark up? Harley is in trouble. Sales are down year after year and people aren't buying their bikes. They need new riders but some of their dealerships seem to insist on pushing people away. I've said before, Harley Davidson makes motorcycles people want but one of the biggest obstacles is their shady dealership network. $25k? I can get a fully loaded BMW 1000 XR with the premium package and M package for $25k, and head to head spec sheet comparison with the Harley is absolutely brutal. The XR has 170 hp, 200 pounds lighter, liquid cooled, in order of magnitude better suspension and fully loaded with every tech feature imaginable (TFT, 6 ride modes, heated grips, adaptive headlights, GPS ready and on and on). I get that this is just a sales tactic to anchor negotiations around a higher price but Harley should be trying to reduce prices and to attract riders, not increase them and push people away. My sincere advice is if you're looking for a Harley, take an hour drive up the freeway and just go to Laidlaw. read more

I brought my bike in to have tires installed. I told them I had plans Saturday morning to go riding. They wanted to schedule me for next week and I said no I can pull the wheels and take them somewhere else and have my new tires installed. They assured me they would have my new tires done by 10 AM Saturday morning. It's now 2 o'clock in the afternoon and my plans are blown and I still don't have my bike back. The service department said they would have my bike ready by 10 AM in the morning. They just wanted to pull me in to get the money for the work and disregarded my plans. Horrible customer service.. I bought three bikes there in the last five years. I'll be going elsewhere in the future. read more

Honestly I came here expecting The "Harley" stigma, and got the complete opposite! I was thoroughly impressed by their customer service and welcoming attitudes. I recently came into the Ventura Harley Davidson location to purchase myself a new riding jacket and a couple of t shirts as I recently acquired a Harley. Upon entering the store I was not greeted by anyone and was more or less avoided and ignored for the first several minutes of my being in the store. I approached a woman named Victoria about trying on a jacket and she could not have been less helpful. The store was more or less empty and she was extremely rude and made me feel like I was being rushed. I felt very unwelcomed and like more of a burden than a customer. I ultimately just left and confirmed that I will never return to this location. I was thrilled to finally have a Harley Davidson store in my area but I think I'll just make the trip to the Glendale location moving forward. Our journey from Yuma, AZ to Ventura, CA began by waking up early at 2 AM, so we could meetup and hit the road by 4 AM. We arrived just in time to join the ride from Ventura Harley-Davidson to the Ventura Black Sheep Harley-Davidsons for Christ's 4th Annual Teen Challenge Fundraiser. Despite the early start, we were wide awake and had the privilege of witnessing an incredible event. The women shared extraordinary testimonies and displayed remarkable talent. However, the real story I want to share began after the event when I got a flat tire. Although HOG's roadside assistance was available, it was Ventura Harley-Davidson's service department that truly saved the day. They bypassed the wait for roadside assistance by sending a tow truck themselves and stayed late (we arrived after their service department closed) to replace my tire. Their dedication ensured I could ride back tomorrow with the rest of the group as planned and hopefully beat the triple-digit heat. Dave, the service manager, personally performed the service, and Blake was incredibly pleasant and easy to work with over the phone. Dave even took the extra time to completely service the bike with the wheel off taking care of my brakes and lubricating what needed it. My kickstand was the cherry on top, I didn't know it could go down so smoothly. It's unimaginable how this weekend could have turned out without their exceptional help. First time rider, first time bike. So as all of us know (or should) this pandemic has kept us in doors. The time was needed for me to find a bike. Really there wouldn't be a better time or place for that matter. I was looking through different online market places, private sellers and I just didn't feel secure. With money in mind I didn't want to really get into financing until I found my 03 Harley Dyna FXDL anniversary edition.
