Jevons LOST my security deposit and are claiming they never received it from the last management company and I have been told by Miriam it is MY job to contact all prior management companies to find my own security deposit. They confirmed my records state there is a security deposit, so if they did not recieve one in the transfer, they should have been asking questions immediately. Shady and untrustworthy. Andrea reached out asking me to update my review on 9/27. After emailing me and telling me we never actually had a gas leak on this property and PSE was mistaken and confused with another property. They turned our gas back on. WELL what do you know. We have a active gas leak that is filling our home with gas. Mean while the tempature is dropping and we've had no heat and a dangerous active gas leak. PSE gave us a red tag last night. They also sent us notice to raise of rent, and we haven't been living here even a year yet. We have no heat, a dangerous gas leak, and jevons refuses to take care of the wasp pest problem we've had since we moved in. So WHAT are they raising it for? just to be greedy? They rented the basement on this same property to someone too. So they're making nearly 5k a month on one property and they wanna raise the rent? when renting a house like this alone wouldn't cost that. so they're double dipping on there property and giving us the good ol land lord special. speaking of land lord specials and gas leaks, they put the furnace to the entire house (even tho they treat it as two seperate apartments) in a closet in the basement. Furnances need to be in open spaces to breathe and not over/under heat your house. but i guess they didn't wanna listen to a contractor about that. Then upstairs where PSE said some of the gas leak is coming from behind the fire place/within the fire place they glued a foam board to seal it up. I'm sure the foam board has sealed up the problem and its super safe! Sealing a fire place costs about 2k, because you don't want gas leaks but foam board works too! My experience with them has been awful since we signed our lease. They're greedy land lords or don't care about the saftey or well being of their tentants. Not to mention before the people in the basement moved in, they constantly had people coming onto the property, and all i asked was they let me know when someone was coming into OUR yard and OUR back door because i'm a girl home alone a lot and not sure if i strange man should be walking in my back yard or going into the basement thru my back door and they couldn't even do that. They actually argued with me telling me they didn't care and didn't have to give me a heads up because the basement is an "apartment". Oh we also dont have a working dryer. lol ANYWAYS we still have no heat and a gas leak we were told doesn't exist. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I cannot warn tenants strongly enough about my experience with Jevons Property Management. We have been without heat for days, with no estimate for restoration despite repeatedly asking for updates. Instead of addressing the issue, management has provided only contradictory explanations and attempts to shift blame. After speaking directly with Puget Sound Energy (PSE), I confirmed that Jevons staff members Abigail and Dana were notified about a gas leak as early as May. Despite this, Jevons now claims they "didn't know" until recently--a statement directly contradicted by PSE's records. Even more alarming, PSE told me they were informed by Jevons that no one lived at the property, even though our lease began on April 30, 2025. During this time, Jevons moved another tenant into the downstairs unit while knowing the property had no heat, violating the implied warranty of habitability and endangering both households by failing to disclose a known gas leak. We have paid all utilities through Jevons in good faith, yet our home is freezing, the gas remains off, and management continues to avoid responsibility. This is more than poor customer service--it is dangerous negligence that puts tenants' safety and well-being at risk. If you value transparency, safety, and basic livable conditions, avoid renting from Jevons. Our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. read more

They are scammers and slumlords who if you move from the premises will charge you for anything and what I mean by that is that they'll charge you for things that you obviously paid for like water! They have on their system that I didn't pay water from the summer time which is not true! Also every year they raise rent $100 but then as soon as you move they list it too a really cheap price! DO NOT rent from them, they charge for problems that were already present in your apartment regardless of proof and photos. Do NOT, under any circumstances, hire this firm to manage your property (or agree to rent a property from them). There's a myriad of reasons to never go near them again, the top one being the fact that they took our payments for utilities for months and never actually paid the utilities company. If I could give a negative star review I would. We lived in a less than 400 square foot apartment which had carpet in the whole place! Bathroom and kitchen included! We moved out September 30th! We received our deposit back on 10/25/2024! Meaning at this point we are done with the company! Well so we thought. We had our apartment professionally cleaned prior to moving out! We then on 11/05/2024 receive a bill in the mail for $417 to clean this less then 400 square foot apartment!! Taking them 6 hours to clean. Where they apparently swept and mopped the whole apartment. Tell me how that works when it's all carpet! Then being told they cleaned our bathtub! Which is funny because our STAND UP shower was smaller than the size of a motor home shower! Well now we are fighting them because we had this cleaned and taken care of! We are trying to rent from another company and they are telling the other company we owe them money not stating it's for cleaning which can't be brought up for a rental reference only if we didn't pay rent so we can not even get an application in for a place to live until they get there stuff figured out! I am beyond disgusted by this company! And looking at the other reviews on google and BBB this ain't there first time! Mind you their "cleaning company" isn't a true cleaning company it's within there company so they are billing from a company that doesn't exist! My boyfriend and I are extremely made and hope that no one falls into Jevons trap of a rental company! They are a true slumlord! Not to mention the issues we had while living there! PROPERTY OWNERS- this "company" advertises offices around the state. This is an absolute lie. They told me directly that "offices outside of Yakima are for storing cleaning supplies." I learned this after having to tell them to stop calling and asking me to let people into a building I did not live in or have keys to. There are two buildings on the property we lived on. Three units, two buildings and they had never set foot on the property. The property we lived on was west of the Cascades. RENTERS- We were already living in our place several years when it sold and the new owner hired this company. Jevons is horrible to deal with. We had lived on the property for a total of six years when we at last found a bigger place. We cleaned it out to nearly spotless. Followed the move out list to the letter. Then the move out bill came. They came at us for over 3,000.00!!! Had we not had contact with the owner we would have had to take them to court. That bill came down to them sending us a check. We lived there long enough to get the entirety of our damage deposit back. WE took what we could get and are done. Former neighbors are taking them to small claims court. They did not have the contact of the property owner. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! Run, crawl or walk away as fast as you can! Find another place to rent. Anywhere. Even if it looks like a deal it will not be a deal. In the long run, they will gouge you for every penny that they can. Worst company I've ever been forced to deal with. They were fine at first, but were just middle-people with no power to do anything but take my money. When it came time to move out, they charged me $150 for a garage door opener (that the movers accidentally packed and we shipped back) and they charged $450 to clean the place (after we went through and cleaned it all even with a professional cleaning service for the carpets- and no, we didn't even have pets or smoke or anything). They removed that from my security deposit. After that, they charged me an additional $120 because a single lightbulb was burnt out. Don't expect your security deposit back, don't expect timely responses (took over a month to get a single reply after multiple emails and calling), and don't expect an honest business. read more

So, I found them on Zillow. Of course they advertised a property I was interested in. I contacted them to schedule a tour. The alleged Scheduling Specialist Lisa responded but only provided times to tour the property after 5p, which is odd. What's even odder is that they claim its a self guided tour. Meaning no one had to be available to show the unit. Anyway, this scheduling thing went on for 30days even after I said Im not available after 5. One day I gave very specific time frame of 11am to 2pm to tour and " she" still replied " will 7pm tomorrow work?" Even asking questions she never gave a yes or s no. This tells me that Lisa is a A.I Bot. I can't speak to a real person yet your asking for my identification for a self guided tour in which you only provide limited times between 5pm -7pm everyday. Nope!!! Avoid. Then i come here and read horrible reviews. At minimum if Lisa isn't a A.I. Bot she didn't address my questions, skips over what you communicate and that's already a bad sign. At worst the property management doesn't care enough to be available to schedule interested parties according to their availability. Nope nope nope, skip! read more

Rented from them in the past and lived in a slummy one bedroom apartment with drain backflow in the shower, leaky ceiling in the closet from the couple upstairs, unfinished baseboards in the kitchen, scratched counter tops and mice. Oh and the front door doorknob fell off. While they fixed the door knob when I moved out they kept my deposit and then charged an additional 250.00 dollars for repairs that existed prior to moving in. Jevons was AMAZING at first, taking my money so fast but wouldn't let me see the place I'm living prior to move in. Because I was in a pinch, I really had no choice. I should've ran. The previous tenant had dogs (4 according to the neighbors) and apparently they were never let outside because these dogs peed everywhere! The carpets have been cleaned twice professionally WITH enzymes and some areas I have cleaned an additional 15 times and it still smells like dog pee. I even offered to help cover the cost to get the flooring replaced and they said no. This is a health matter as breathing in ammonia is not safe and they refuse to do anything but shampoo further, which will do nothing. They are only great until they have your money and your signature on the contract, now it's pound sand. read more

At first javons was great to work with easy to get repairs need fixed and they always sent nice contractors to help out. I recently was told we could not renew our contract and that we would have to be out at a certain date a few months out. although I understand the contract it does help that if you are told you have to leave there should be a bit of an early move out time/ date so you can find a new place to live. I have found a place that fits me well but cannot afford to pay double rents until my current lease ends. I am horrified by the move-out experience we have had with Jevons. We are being exploited for upwards of $4,000 for a home that we left in incredible condition. This includes being charged for items left in the home by the owner and damage done by the owner that we alerted Jevons about immediately upon moving in. No amount of cleaning would have protected us from the exploitative charges they are attempting to get away with, and it is clear they are just looking to rob us of everything they can. Hi everyone, I'm Scott and I've moved around a bit for my career. I have experience as both a tenant and a landlord so I can evaluate a management agency from multiple angles. I'll offer an unemotional evaluation: - Any company that feverishly asks you to rate them 5 stars on Google to "improve their ratings" probably shouldn't be trusted. Unfortunately Jevon's has managed to rope enough people in to crowd out the significant number of complaints against them. Check out Yelp - they have a solid 2.5 stars at the time I'm posting. - You won't get a walk through at move-in or move-out - and if you want one they will charge you $90 (check the contract). They won't conduct a walk through after you leave either - they'll throw your entire deposit at cleaning agencies so that they don't have to. I have never lost a dollar from my deposit until renting from Jevon's. - You will not be cared for. As stated above, Jevon's doesn't care about your money and they don't care about you. Their maintenance team will not consult you prior to scheduling maintenance that you "must" be there for. I received notification from Jevon's that I had to be present for jobs within 24 hours of the scheduled time. - Also, be wary of the contract. There is no "fair wear and tear" clause, but there is a clause specifically stating (I'm summarizing) that they may charge you for whatever they want regardless of the unit's condition at your move in. I don't employ unethical agents like those at Jevon's to manage my rentals. I am disappointed in myself that I made the mistake of renting from them. Go with anyone else in the greater Yakima Area - my four year old nephew probably would have done a better job. read more

They took forever to fix anything, complained about it and tried to charge us later for things that were never there in the first place and junk they left behind. I work very closely with Jevons Property Management. I am in charge of program at the Yakima Police Department. I send notices to the Landlord or Property Manager letting them know of problem tenants. Enrique, is very responsive and makes contact with the tenant and takes the steps necessary to be in compliance with our City Nuisance Ordinance. Jevons does not advocate for tenants nor do they do their due diligence to ensure security deposits are returned in full. If Jevons is the property management company in a building you are planning to lease from I would steer clear. They backdate important documents, are hard to get a hold of, and you will not get your security deposit back. Just had the worst experience here. First contact was on the phone with a female that had no joy in her voice. Sometimes people seem that way on the phone. I told her which property I wanted to look at. She informed me I would need to check out a key. I told her I pretty much wanted the place and would be in to complete paperwork at 3:30 and would pick up the key. At 3:38 when I got there, a stiff joyless girl was at the front desk. Then i was approached by another stiff joyless girl. She told me the key was checked out and they didn't know when it would be back. She offered to call when it was in. I informed her that I worked and had to take time off to do this. (They do not have hours for working folk.) I won't get into the application process. I will say that I was not prepared for what I experienced. Never in my life had I endured what I experienced there. I will not do business there and recommend looking elsewhere for housing. I contact Jevons and they didn't send anyone. I paid a pet deposit when I moved in. 11 months into my 12 month lease said they didn't get it. Forced me to pay again. Was late 1 month on rent due to being unable to work (Covid), the text said it would be $10.00 a day late fee but they would wait till I got paid. Got an eviction notice that read $50.00 day late fee. They wouldn't let me pay my electric bill untill I paid $1100.00. This company will get every cent they can from you. There are many more issues I had there, just too many to list. Worker coming into my apartment unannounced, didn't knock, just opened my door while I was sleeping. Neighbors leaving front door unlocked with random people knocking on my door (never opened it). This company is terrible! If you have no where else to go it's better to sleep in your car or couch surf. Please take all of the negative reviews seriously and stay away from this company. I would give it a zero if possible. I scheduled a viewing, and was not able to view the place. The automated system is no help at all. There was a lock box to the main building, but was never given a code for that one. It was listed through a different company but the person who is in charge of that never told me the code. I scheduled 3 viewings, confirmed, was not able to step inside the main building at all. Waste of my time and poor management all together. Was not the only place I had scheduled. Everywhere else went smoothly. Will never go through Jevons property management again. Will tell my friends not to waste their time here either. Update your systems, have someone answer the phone, get it together! 0/5 is what I would rate my experience with this company. read more

This management company will rip you off when you move. I was a great tenant. Gave my month notice before moving out, was never late on a payment. I left the property in good condition did the proper cleaning. And they kept my $450 deposit and expected me to pay an additional $350+ For "supposed damages". I don't often take the time to write reviews, but felt that on this occasion the service Enrique provided really merited it. After dealing with estate agents on 4 continents of this world, I can honestly say working with Enrique was the most pleasant and professional experience. Knowing nothing really of Yakima, I first tried the apartment search by myself and found nothing that suited my needs and wants. After a quick google search I came across Jevons Property Management and gave them a call, which I'm very glad that I did. Enrique helped me find an area and apartment which was most suited to my needs and budget, he stuck it out with me even if my criteria kept changing. The end result is in 2 weeks I'll be moving to a great spot in West Valley. So without any hesitation, I would 100% recommend Jevons Property Management. read more

I rarely give a 5 star rating to any entity, let alone realty and property management. However, Enrique, Carole, and Norma are the best! They were extremely helpful when we relocated to the Yakima area from Seattle, and they actually "manage" their properties! They are quick to respond to requests for needed repairs, very fair in their transactions with regard to the business end of things (being humane in determining specific situations and circumstances) and are always very pleasant in their demeanor. Since I am both a home owner and a renter, I can relate to both sides of the business, and I have to give this particular property manager the highest of ratings. read more

The appear to be nice in the beginning. But they are the slum lords of Yakima. Representing cheap landlords. Our fridge failed and they had a repair man take apart the 30year old fridge in our kitchen for 3.5hrs for the fridge to fail again after 2 months of use. Then they replace it with another fridge that is 30yrs old that had ghetto door shelving, that was broken and glued backed together with caulking. The fridge was so old the compressor was loud and always kicking on. It probably took up half my energy bill. I offered to purchase my own fridge during the first failure but they would not allow me to do so. The real disappointment was during move out. They charged me for items that were already missing or broken on move in. Unless you are desperate and needed a place to live like I did as I was moving from out of state, try to look elsewhere first. UPDATE: June 10, 2014 After communication directly with the owner of Jevon's things got resolved. I guess the property they were managing had a frugal/cheap owner failing to address or approve fixes when needed. Do yourself a favor and see the properties prior to renting. My husband and I found a great little duplex for our family. We took a general walk through of the unit, cosmetically the place looked spectacular, the backyard needed some TLC but we were more than willing to put in the work given the amenities, etc. Then we signed the lease, picked up the keys and did our thorough walk-thru. In only 20 minutes we found issue after issue, and they were big issues. Issues that should have been caught by Jevons on their thorough walk-thru as the management company of the property; and then the issues should have been fixed BEFORE listing the unit as available and rent ready. They were prompt to get their maintenance people on the issues needing to be fixed. However, we were told 3 different times "It will be fixed by the end of tomorrow", "Everything will be done tomorrow morning", "Things should all be fixed by tomorrow morning". So, the issues kept being pushed off. Not by Jevons necessarily, but the outside contractors they hired, which reflects back to Jevons unfortunately for them. We were a week into our lease and unable to move in because the issues needing to be fixed were preventing us from moving in. So finally, we had enough of the whole thing. We cited the RCW's pertaining to our situation located in the Landlord-Tenant Act and we received our deposit and first months rent back and the lease was terminated with no further obligations to us. The reason they are getting two stars is because we don't feel they completed their job as a management company properly before listing the unit BUT they cooperated in giving us our money back and terminating the lease. ***As a renter it helps to know your rights, and as a management company/landlord it helps to do the job correctly the first time to avoid losing money and/or having more negative comments against your company.*** read more

Jevon's Property Management has been one of the most courteous, conscientious, companies we have ever dealt with. They were always prompt in calling repairmen and put forth so much effort in making our stay in this rental a pleasant, smooth one. Despite the fact that the owner of the property has been difficult to work with, making all repairs and maintenance issues a hassle the Jevon's Property Management team (namely: Enrique, Carol and Norma) have upheld a far superior standard of service that we fear we will never have the privilege of experiencing again.
