Spoiled fish and lack of action are what prompted me to leave this review. About 5 weeks ago I purchased fish from the meat department and it was spoiled. These things happen, so I just let it go. Then the following weekend the exact same thing. Two weeks in a row, so I sent corporate an email. They responded saying the information was shared with the Store Director to investigate. I waited several weeks and then purchased the fish again. Well, it was really spoiled when I got home. There is no way it didn't put off a bad odor in the case, so its concerning they continue to sell spoiled fish. This time I went back to the store and talked to the store manager. He was completely unconcerned and really didn't seem to care at all. We have also noticed the quality of produce at the location is declining. From empty bins on a Sunday morning to fruit spoiling within a day or two. As an example, I purchased blackberries on Saturday and on Monday they had mold growing on them with some of the decomposing. At this point, we have decided we simply can't shop there. read more

I ask for cash at the self checkout, but forgot to grab it after I grabbed my receipt. Later that evening I realized I didn't take my cash . I went back to the store with my receipt. The manager looked at the security cameras and said yes you did forget take your but the customer behind didn't. So since they reviewed the camera and saw that I was legit the manager gave me the money that I forgot to take. I just want to give a shout out to the store . Thank you. read more

The newer of two Jewel stores In Hwy 47, this store has a large selection and good quality. It's Clean and well stocked and we like the quality of the produce, deli and meat. Staff seems nicer too. read more

I am so absolutely fed up with this store and their predatory and deceptive practices, it's not even funny! I just spent 20 minutes in the aisle trying to decipher a "4 for $10" sale on cereal. Matching up all the labels and brands and sizes, asking my son to forgo his choices so we could get the sale prices. Then I tried scanning them with the app and "clipping it" and it says "no deal found", so I took my selection of cereals to the register and lo and behold the cereal is ringing up $8 a box. I told them to keep their cereal. This grocery store chain needs to be sued for deceptive practices. I don't know how many people actually know that you have to go through some convoluted process in their app to get the sale price they advertise on the shelf... if it actually works at all!!! I'm sure the overwhelming majority of people just assume that when you put in your rewards ID, you're getting the sale price. YOU ARE NOT! Please pay attention to what prices your items are ringing up. If it's not what's in the shelf, tell them to keep it! And don't be nice about it either! read more

Prices are changed every few days. You must use their app that never works. Employees always tell you to work with the app in a different way and then when you check your receipt you did not get the right price. Inflated prices that go up every few days are 30 to 50% higher. Managers are not helpful. You must buy several multiples of an item to get the reduced prices you also have to scan a code and you're shopping becomes lengthy process. It's ridiculous way to treat customers. read more

Don't get the watermelon!! I got watermelon and it smelled like farts and it tasted spoiled. I had to throw is out because of how bad it was! It was early spring and all the watermelon looked bad but we found the one that looked the best. It was over a very bad experience. read more

I know it has nothing to do with this store. But this weeks add was deceiving. Buy 1 get 2 free all of one item. I did see that. Lucky I did leave the parking lot. So I was abel to back in right away. But you are gonna be throwing away alot of food for everybody who takes it home first. Then comes back. That made me so angry for the fact that I wasted my time showing for stuff that I didn't end up getting in the end because I didn't want 3 boxes of chicken nuggets or 3 bags of meatball's. read more

The guy at the meat counter, has no business being there serving people. I had to repeat each order 3 times, and he still couldn't get it right Not sure why the Dept manager would put him behind the counter to fulfill customer requests. This is the 3rd time I have had the same issues with this 1 associate. I have no desire to deal with this person anymore! Let's see what management does So it's been about 10 days- So as I thought, no response from the Dept manager, or the store manager. Maybe this guy is the Dept manager, god help us who shop there !!!!! I hope this reaches enough people to impact the business. read more

This is hands down my favorite Jewel-Osco. I've come here a few times prior to grab some quick things after work, on my way home, and I've had a great experience every time. My schedule lines up with a stock clerk named Noah, and he is awesome. He dropped everything he was doing to help me and to ensure I left happy. He is truly a rockstar at this location. When he needed assistance getting my product out of the back stock, another shout-out goes to Laki for the assist. This location is a testament that great management makes all the difference. That honorable mention goes to John for having an amazing team and keeping a happy and caring workplace. This is the Jewel that I will be going to from now on, and I look forward to seeing Noah again, his cheery demeanor is infectious and always makes my night.
