We picked Cody's farm because there wasn't an entry fee, it wasn't too far, and someone picked up the phone when I called to answer all my questions. You purchase an empty bag for picking apples before starting. A bag costs $30 and holds ~ 30 pounds according to them which works out to $3 a pound. The weather was nice and it was plenty of apple trees to pick from. There were only a couple of other people picking apples while we were there. I imagined these huge trees with apples high up to reach for, but all the trees were around 4 to 5ft. There was several very long rows of different apple trees to walk up and down. I am now convinced to get an apple tree for my back yard since the size isn't huge. The farm had play areas and activities for children so it is a cool place to bring the kids. We hit the store and I bought apple cider donuts that just happened to be really delicious. Most of the produce and products seemed to be a little pricey, but I'm thinking everything is supposed to be organic so the prices are mor. I would definitely return and bring little ones if I had any to spend a day out here.

I was going to get a caramel apple but they were $8 and not made there, prepackaged, so they did not appeal to me. Sandwiches were restaurant prices not" barn" prices so I left. I did enjoy the animals, goats, pigs, sheep and small cattle. I suppose if you have kids it's a great autumn thing to do and pick up some pumpkins and squash while there. Just seemed pricey and there was a charge for kids areas so I don't think I need to go back unless I have little ones to entertain.

*PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE DAVE IS AN ACTUAL CREEP!*…read more Our neighbors and our family had started a tradition 4 years ago to take our families here to do the hay ride and purchase pumpkins and other things from Dave's pumpkin farm. We all got pumpkins, bales of hay, straw brooms and the like. Dave has no cashier and relies on an app to pay for purchases. This night his app was not working and we told him this. We kept trying. As we left, and still trying to get on the app. We got home and started unloading. And still trying to get on the app. It was night time and a truck pulls up across the street from me and sat there. I could not see into the truck and did not know who it was. I screamed out to the driver and said, who are you are you ok? I decided to call the police because I thought maybe it was somebody drunk and pulled over or he had car problems. Well, once the police arrived we found out it was Dave! He followed us home! He said we stole 300 pumpkins, which we only had about 15-20. The police told us he has a history of doing this, following people home that he feels did not pay enough. Now I have 2 little ones with me, 6 and 7. He is telling the police he wants us arrested! The police came back over to us and said "listen this guy is weird and off his rocker, have you got the app working yet"? It was not. My wife said listen... we can Zelle him for the pumpkins since the app is not working. The police said" we doubt he has Zelle, right now he is just rambling on that he wants you guys arrested but that is not going to happen because we believe you guys". The police officer said he has a Square on his phone where it can be paid through that device. So my wife walked over with the officer to Dave's truck. The total we knew was $126. Dave said just pay $119 because he could not figure out the taxes. According to the police, Dave has a history of doing this! He ruined our tradition and our kids are upset that this happened. The whole ordeal was about 2 hours long and our night was ruined! Now our whole tradition is ruined because we will not go back there where a stalker could just show up to your house! *STAY AWAY PLEASE BECAUSE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS BEFORE AND WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN AGAIN!*

No admission charge, no parking fee. Just walk in and grab some bags and a wagon and go to town. $8 for a half peck of most varieties and $10 for a half peck of honeycrisp. Our favorites are the honeycrisp and senshu. We picked 2 pecks for ourselves and two weeks later we're down to just a few apples. Everyone there is super nice and helpful. Perhaps I caught someone on a bad day but the person who we dealt with when I asked for the peck bag and raspberry container barked at me when I asked where to go to find the raspberries and where for the apples available today. He than yelled that he didn't want my kids throwing the apples around. I have 5 year olds and they were standing by my side, well behaved and attentive. I asked why he would say that and he rudely said that is all kids do there. Not very family friendly to say the least. I would have left but I didn't want to upset my kids more than he already did. When I paid, I dealt with someone else and he was cordial but the other person was so rude they are deserving of one star.
