He helped me define a ring design (based on an engraving from Jules Verne's novel From the Earth to the Moon) and helped my wife design her very different and more abstract sapphire studded ring. He used our gold (old french coins) and he helped us determine the purity in order to get it refined to 24k and then alloyed to white gold as we wanted. He uses a wax carving and casting technique and dental tools for engravings so it is definitely hand made and unique but also very cool. Price was reasonable and quality exceeded expectations. If you want something that is custom made and not machined to order overseas, but still have a similar price, you should definitely try working with Dustin.

He charged well more than I've ever paid for that repair at other jewelers, took something like 6 weeks, and when I got it back he'd built the points so high that the ring was constantly snagging on things. Six months later, I took the ring in for a different repair elsewhere, and the jeweler pointedly asked if I needed the setting fixed, because the points were too high. Now, a few months later, one of the points has come off again and I'm back where I was a year ago, needing a new setting.

The "FGB" (Fancy Glass Beads) that are made in China that "are comparable to Japanese and Czech Seed Beads but at half the price. Specially made for Beadazzle by FGB" Are advertised as solid glass. They are in fact painted beads and the coating rubs off easily when doing slip stitch bead crochet, and square stitch. They often use photos from genuine brands to promote these cheaper, low quality beads. They're cheap beads. you get exactly what you pay for. This company could improve by allowing customers to write reviews for their products, offering refunds, and not stealing photos from genuine brands to promote their own inferior products. It is incredibly disappointing that I can no longer recommend this Canadian website. I will change this review if Beadazzle.ca refunds the portion of my order that was falsely advertised, AND changes the product photos AND descriptions of their "FGB" beads thus making themselves trustworthy again. Until then, the review stands.

I liked it right away and went inside the store. The woman I dealt with (don't recall her name) was really friendly. She took me over to the display case where the Citizen watches were. There were two Pro Master divers but not the one which was pictured on the sign. She said she could call the other store in White Rock to see if it was there (which it was). She asked to have it sent to the Surrey Central location. I was more than pleased and said I would come back on Sunday. Fast forward to Sunday (today). I went back as I said I would. The woman I dealt with on Friday wasn't there. I remember having seen another woman (whose name I also don't know) from Friday who was there. I explained who I was and said I had the watch on hold for me. She found it, brought it over so I could try it on and I was in love. This watch was literally screaming my name. However, I'm a skinny guy and this watch had to be resized with some links taken out. Another woman (Fara I believe her name was) was suggested to do that because she would be able to do it a lot better. That was fine by me. I said I would come back in twenty minutes. That turned out to be closer to half an hour because I had some shopping at another store to take care of. "Fara" was with another customer so I waited a few minutes until she was finished. I tried the watch on and it was still too loose. I suggested there was a procedure she could do where the bracelet could be tightened without removing any links. This is where my "happy story" comes to an end. Other customers were coming into the store and she asked me to come back (again, meaning a third time for entering that store within one hour). I left, and when I came back 15-20 minutes later saw her helping a couple with their wedding ring questions. They were carrying on and on and on, and I knew I was going to be waiting a very long time, even though I was time restricted and had to be at a certain place shortly thereafter. This review is only getting two stars because "Fara" shouldn't have asked me to "come back" after I had already left that store the first time! What she should have done is ask those other people to wait until my watch had been properly sized, no matter how long that took! I felt like I had been completely punted aside and ignored. I left the store without a word and have no idea when I will be back to pick up my watch and have it properly resized. "Fara", your customer service went down the toilet really really fast, and I don't like the way I was treated. Next time consider how a customer feels before asking them to "come back" before putting some other customer's needs first! Not impressed!

She had trouble looking it up in the computer for pricing and called over another girl to look it up. The thing with the mirrored glass is that it doesn't fully block what is being done on the other side. The person never picked up the phone and proceeded to snack on some food that was in the office. After a few minutes she returned saying she had spoken with the other store and they had ordered it. She proceeded to quote me a price that was double what the other store had quoted me. I had come here to see if there were any boxing day promotions. It wouldn't have bothered me if there were not. I was not impressed by the fake stall the customer and then coming back with a fake storey at double the price. I would not recommend this location as they can't be trusted.

We first negotiated the purchase of the gold from the 2 pieces and found their prices very fair (we had done some price shopping in advance). We then asked for the price to remove our diamonds to keep, and it was super affordable, and could be done on the spot. They were patient with my husbands many questions and his nervousness trusting them. The front door was locked and double gated so we felt safe throughout the whole process. Overall we left relieved and happy. I would highly recommend them for all of your gold and jewelry needs!
