Their website says they service Rolex in the Park Royal and Victoria stores so I took my watch which was under warranty to Park Royal store only to be told they didn't service the watch there. Watch what you pay for at the point of purchase because if you have a discrepancy it's on you. Thoroughly go over your receipt, especially the taxes. Customer Service when you're buying the product is good (of course they want you to buy the product). The Customer Service when you try and return something is a battle and there's a good chance you're not gonna win. I recently went to Lugaro at Park Royal to get my ring sized. It was a family heirloom that I recently received. Alicia helped me with my re-sizing and arranged for the jeweler. It took 2 weeks but wow, my ring looked amazing and brand new. You could never tell that it was re-sized. Ara was there to help me when I picked up my ring. I was very pleased and I find Alicia and Ara to be really helpful. They always offer to clean my rings and my watch when I go by the store. I had the pleasure of meeting George (he buys stones for Lugaro) at Metrotown (however, he works at Park Royal as well). My husband and I were not in the market to buy but just browsing. We ran into George and it was the most epic serendipity. He took his time, no pressure, and taught us how and what to look for when we were ready to purchase a diamond. It was such a brilliant experience that we did end up buying a new solitaire with 2 bands and within a month a beautiful diamond bangle to match the ring set. All because George was so wonderful. Sleazy salespeople, definitely would avoid. When we came to get our two watches adjusted, the salesgirl looked generally uncomfortable as we approached. She looked at us, and quickly looked away, then back at us, then quickly away as we walked toward her, her body language all but saying "I'm a tree! You don't see me!" She seemed like she genuinely didn't want to talk to us even as I engaged her in conversation about adjusting our watches, causing someone I assumed to be her manager to walk over. I say assume, because not once did he introduce himself as he stood there awkwardly giving us the side-eye. She only seemed to calm down once she got our watches out and looked impressed, remarking that they were very nice to herself. She asked if we bought them from Lugaros? (No.) Where did we get them from? (Wedding gift). Then she began rifling through the certificates and reading them. Then, she announced it would be $45 a watch to remove the bracelet links. I was obviously taken aback by this. 'Just to remove the watch links,' I asked. She said yes, and I quickly deferred to my companion that we should go elsewhere. The manager, overhearing us naturally, quickly snapped that it was to cover labor costs, to guarantee the workmanship and integrity of the piece, and to give us a lifetime of free adjustments. Sure, for a servicing this would be understandable, but for a five minute unscrewing adjustment?!? Then, just as quickly as he offered his wisdom, he sauntered off. I declined, and then the kicker. The salesgirl used a technique every sleazy used car salesman, or desperate seller at a flea market is familiar with: "it's actually usually $50, but since you are so nice, I'm only charging you $45." I had to decline again when I realized the salesgirl was in no hurry to give us back our watches. To her credit, she seemed pleasant enough as we parted ways, but this store just reeks of pretention and desperation. I ended up getting my watch adjusted for free at a different store altogether, which was $90 well saved. -UPDATE BELOW- After reading the (since deleted) response by Lugaro's management to my original review, I'll be sure to actively warn as many friends, family, and future contacts as possible to avoid this place as well. Seriously, the arguments made in Lugaro's aggressive response takes none of my complaints into consideration. In fact, the bullet points that Lugaro chose to make in their response was- A) "did courteously attend to you at the time of entry into our store at 13:25:01 on Apr 23, 2018." If you say so. Courteous is subjective after all, and you choose to conveniently ignore all my objective points. Furtive eye contact? Checking registration? Looking generally uncomfortable and giving us a bad vibe? B) "She offered to shorten at onset $45 according to your review paragraph 3" Yup, that's what I said. Not arguing with that one. C) "Our Rolex inventory manager did offer you added value for the charge." Sure, if you consider randomly interjecting that we can come back anytime for future adjustments on the same watch an added value. Again, this was what I said in the original review. It's furthermore interesting to me that Lugaro chooses to argue that it is completely within their right to charge whatever prices they want. True, absolutely true. But at the same time, consumers have every right to publicly maintain that certain businesses charge exorbitant prices. It's not like anyone told them not to charge those prices, I, as Lugaro said, simply chose to "decline the charges." Overall, an interesting response, and a textbook example of what NOT to do when you get a bad review. No "we'll take your feedback to improve future interactions," no "we apologize for the misunderstanding," but rather somehow trying desperately to attack and discredit us, even going so far as to argue the semantics of my wording by arguing: "Spending a total of 2 minutes and 25 seconds exactly in our store, you have made a judgmental opinion, our sales people are "sleazy" yet you go on to mention that our sales person was pleasant enough. We see no merit in this contradicting statement." Yes, it is possible to be "pleasant enough" and sleazy, just as it is possible to be downright rude and sleazy. And if you seriously want to split hairs, being "pleasant enough" is typically not a compliment. On a similar note, newsflash, judgmental opinions are made within mere seconds if not minutes all the time in businesses, which is why a basic business tenet is that the customer is always right, and if they complain, don't start trashing them in public. And the cherry on top? They seriously posted a video of my wife and I at their establishment on a public forum without our consent in the hopes that this somehow "refutes" our claims? My husband ordered me a surprise anniversary from Lugaro for our 11th anniversary that was on May 1. Over a month later and this surprise is still not ready and hasn't been shipped. My friend and I were immediately offered a refreshment even though the store was quite busy. We comfortably waited for our time. As for her slanderous remarks about racist remarks, I don't think my saying "No" falls into that category. Perhaps I should sue her for out and out lying however I will not waste anymore time with this strange behaviour. He was great in helping us look for a new Rolex watch for me. He was knowledgable and friendly. I needed a nice gift but I had no idea what I was looking for. I went to Lugaro after a recommendation from a friend, who said the staff here would help me find the perfect gift. Well, my friend was right! I walked in and was immediately assisted. The staff member was friendly and wasn't pushy. She helped me find a gorgeous necklace in my price range; even after I found what I needed, I couldn't help but look around at all the other beautiful jewelry they sell. I've had a few bad encounters with the sales people at this store its a wonder they're still in business! Went in to look for an engagement ring/anniversary ring with my husband recently and the sales woman who was helping us didn't smile once, suggested one $8,900 ring and when I said we were looking for something less expensive she immediately checked out and couldn't be bothered to help us so we went elsewhere and found a nice ring in our budget. My mother went in looking to completely redesign her wedding and engagement rings ad the sales person looked her up and down, and then refused to help her because he said she wouldn't be able to afford it! Go somewhere where the sales people appreciate your business and are genuinely interested in helping you. Edit: the president at Lugaro got in contact with me after reading this review and was very apologetic about my terrible experiences in his store. He says he has made steps to try and improve the customer service in the Park Royal store. I'm impressed that he contacted me and seemed genuinely invested in rectifying the situation and his customer service. read more

Very bad customer service. Both managers in the Park Royal store are rude and dishonest. I was looking to buy a diamond after doing a lot of research on what to look for in diamonds. I was shopping around to get a good idea of prices at various stores. Lugaro said they would bring into the store 3 diamonds to look at. They quoted me a price for one of them. When I came in a couple days later to see the diamonds, they said they would only let me see one at a time. They did not give me the GIA certificate to look at along with the diamond until I asked them at least 5 times to supply it. I had to ask for it several times with each of the three diamonds. When I first went into the store, the managers gave me a clear verbal price quote for the diamonds they were ordering in. When I came in to see the diamonds they quoted me a new price for the diamonds. A $7000.00 difference in the price they quoted me the day before!! As soon as I mentioned that I am still looking around and plan to compare a couple other diamonds at another store. These diamonds at another store had a higher GIA ratings and lower price. The managers turned cold and didn't want to help me look at settings etc. I still insited and stayed to look at some settings. One of the settings I was looking at was online for $2400 and the manager told me that the same setting, with no center diamond is 10k! I couldne't believe it. I questioned her about it, but she just said that they must of been different. What a difficult place. I don't trust them. If you go there, please make sure you have done your research!!! read more

A blonde lady with a slight accent (unfortunately didn't get her name), asked me about my sister's usual style and led me from there. Sleazy sales reps make Lugaro a must-avoid jewelry store. Recently, my fiancee and I entered the store in West Vancouver to look at possibly buying an Omega watch for myself. When the pretentious salesgirl noticed the diamond ring on my fiancee's finger, she insinuated it must be "fake" and "low quality" since we did not purchase the ring at her store. Obviously, a woman does not want to hear that her engagement ring is a fake from another jewelry store and a man does not want to be perceived as an "idiot" for buying a fake ring that he knows for a fact is legitimate. I pointed out to the inept salesgirl that the diamond in the ring is GIA certified, at which point she asked to examine the diamond herself under a microscope. We handed over the ring, which she examined and proceeded to declare "this is not GIA certified and is low grade". I subsequently brought the ring into a certified gemological expert at another jewelry store (not the one I purchased the ring), and he confirmed to me what I already knew to be a high quality GIA certified diamond. This also confirmed to me what I had already known about Lugaro, that their salespeople are disgusting and offensive scum that don't even understand their own business. I was going to drop 10k on an Omega watch at Lugaro, but never stepping foot in that store again. And if you happen to be shopping for a diamond ring, Lugaro has no credibility so don't waste your money and time on a diamond from this store. read more

I called this morning to ask if they sell silver jewellery cleaner. The man who answered seem to have some difficulty in understanding what I was asking for. He said he would find out for me. Next a woman came on the phone and when I asked her she said , "We don't sell silver! So we don't sell silver jewellery cleaner!" That is news to me that a jeweller does not sell silver! However when I asked if they could clean it as the man had suggested, she said they could do that. I asked how much it would be, she said she would have to see it. I have a number of items and I have cleaned them myself in the past I told her , at which point she said it would be $25 per piece. I found her abrupt and thought that was quite unnecessary. this review of Lugaro is a long time coming. I'm not sure how to explain my relationship with Lugaro, only by saying they are one part marriage counselors, one part covert ops. My husband (then fiancee) went to Lugaro to customize my engagement ring before proposing to me. He went to so much trouble designing a ring for me with every feature I've liked in every piece of jewelry I've ever seen-all together in one ring. :( bless his heart, but the ring was a cacophony of shapes. The proposal, and ring, were a surprise. We went back to Lugaro to have the ring resized for my fingers. When speaking with the staff there, (I think it was the owner) hubby proudly showed off pics of my surprised face & detailed comments of our proposal, during which I noticed the owner kind of staring at me. I guess she could tell if I wasn't thrilled with the ring (It had so many shapes on it...good lord.) Anyways, so the best way I can describe it was hubby was talking soccer with one of the employees while the owner walked me around the shop to show me "a really special piece." She showed me so many engagement rings and I DONT KNOW HOW she came up with a design that she pitched to my fiancee later. I knew nothing about this until our wedding day when hubby and I were doing the "first look" photos and hubby pulled out the newly designed ring-it was EXACTLY what I had always wanted. The photographer caught the best reaction from me at the moment because I was floored. and then I cried. a lot. A year later hubby and I were in vancouver again (we're there 3-4 times a year for business) and while hubby was working I wandered over to Lugaro for a ring adjustment (stones can get loose) and to shop for a watch for hubby to surprise him for our wedding anniversary. The shop attendants were SO patient with me (I'm a bit indecisive when it comes to jewelry-I want it all,) and helped me choose the best watch for hubby, and even let me play dress up by trying on a couple of watches for myself. Two weeks later at our anniversary hubby and I surprised each other with watches from Lugaro. Apparently the owner had remembered the style of watches I had tried on for myself, and the style hubby had eyed for himself, and played watch matchmaker. :) this is our favorite story and we get to think of them and their kindness every time we look at our watches. Ruined my plans for engagement proposal on Christmas Day Committed to a diamond and setting month prior. After hearing nothing I called 4 days before Christmas and told it was ready. Excitedly I went to collect the diamond ring - upon review the stone had changed colour and it was a size 6 ring and not 5 which was ordered. I was told by the owner she changed the diamond to a "better" grade - this was done without any consultation. There was no report offered when I asked for verification it was a H grade color. ( just some in house paper). They attempted to resize the ring and it look like amateur hour scratched and ugly soldering I was told to come back next day to see a selection of new diamonds (as the dark yellow stone they tried to fob me off with was not what I selected). I never heard back. I called and they were unapologetic and couldn't see they had made an error in changing a diamond I'd picked for such a huge moment. worst experience. resized fiance's engagement ring. the part where they cut the ring to resize ended up thinner than the rest of the ring. went back to complain and they blamed me for it. said i bought a bad ring as the ring was too thin....i looked around the store, they sell rings with very similar proportions! owner came out and went on a rant about how the maker of my ring should be sued. anyway, they took no responsibility. i normally don't leave bad reviews, but this was too much.
