Saw this on the NEX first floor and had to get some. I usually got one double chocolate walnut and…read moreone chocolate chip walnut and sort of ate them together. It's been years since I've had them. The young man that helped me get was professional and very nice. The display was well designed and there are many types of packaged cookie offerings. My excitement turned to... they're ok. They're good. The walnut chocolate chip is better than the double chocolate walnut, which surprised me. Usually I liked that one better. Today it was too sweet. Maybe my taste buds changed. Either way they were good cookies; just not the favorites that I remember them as. I'll have to try some them again if I head to Mililani or Kaneohe. Maybe they'll hit different there!

I…read moreasked the cashier when they opened at the NEX and she said a while, before she had even started working there. They have a cart full of boxed and packaged cookies. They also have a cookie display case of their singular cookies. They don't have an oven at this location so the cookies probably get delivered every morning. I love the white chocolate mac nut cookies and it's back for a limited time. I got two of those and a snickerdoodle. The cookies were soft and fresh. I'm not a fan of soft cookies. I like them crunchy. Their bite sized cookies are crunchy. I usually get a cup of the chocolate chip. Those are addicting. However, I just ate lunch upstairs at the food court and couldn't eat all those cookies, so I passed on the cup of bite sized cookies.

I visited Panday at the Kailua mini swap meet. It was a small, kind of random event that…read moresurprisingly didn't have any other food or drink vendors. I felt kind of bad because it was a one person show and the owner guy had to accommodate a lot of customers by himself! It was a hot day and a cold drink sounded great. I heard someone mention there was a coffee vendor but the person made it sound like they were only selling cups of hot or iced coffee. Then someone walked by with a matcha drink and I knew I needed to check out Panday's booth. There was a small line of customers and the guy was working hard to chat with people, collect payments and make drinks. When it was my turn, I ordered the "Biko" coffee which is their special Filipino rice/coconut/condensed milk coffee. He said he probably didn't have enough and I should look over the menu to see if I had a second choice. I chose the banana matcha and he said he didn't have any banana syrup. I mean maybe the event was so popular that he ran out of drinks quicker than expected. I guess he was the only food/drink vendor at the event and it was a hot day.... In the end, he had enough Biko for my drink and everything was fine. It was a good latte and flavorful, but idk if I'd go out of my way to find it in the future. I do want to try the banana matcha still though. For a one man operation, this guys is killing it. He makes the espresso shots to order, so drinks may take a little while to get made. He was good at chatting up people in line while we waited though. Hopefully I'll see panday coffee at another event soon!

Stop and smell what's brewing…read more.. That's exactly what I did as soon as I saw the sidewalk sign right outside of Fishcake in Kaka'ako and I'm so glad I did ;) checking out their menu you can find the usual espresso, latte and americano and now for the fun stuff...their "Specialty Drinks" from Monkey Coffy which has house made banana syrup, Biko which is a Filipino rice milk coffee and even the newest The Panday Pandan Latte! I really was intrigued by their Monkey Coffy but really wanted to try their Matcha when they said that I could combine it for "Monkey Matcha" whaaaaaaat!!!! Their only concern is that the banana syrup could overpower the matcha so they weren't confident to put it on the menu but I tell you it was yummy and yes the syrup was very flavorful as I was told it is made with real bananas and has the equivalent of two bananas in each cup...incredible. The staff is amazing and informed me of the wait with several orders already in the works but I do love the creativity as they bring in the culture crafted in each cup is unique and "sip"ly delicious. Thank you!

Heard about Elson's Goldsmith from right here on Yelp and the five-star reviews are accurate!…read more I needed to get a minor repair done on this gold chain and stopped into one other store before going to Elson's. The other shop gave me weird vibes, so I decided to give Elson's a try since everyone in the reviews had nothing but positive things to say. I emailed them in the morning and decided to call as well to check if they take walk-in repairs. The person I spoke with happened to be the owner's brother and they said yes, just come on down--so I did just that! I was welcomed in by Elson Jr., the owner's brother and person I spoke with on the phone, and he told me they could repair the chain for $50 and get it done in about 30 minutes. Good deal in my opinion! So I waited in the store and not even 15 minutes later, the chain was repaired *AND* Elson said they cleaned it! Highly, highly recommend these guys for jewelry repairs if you live near ʻAiea or even if you can drive in from elsewhere on Oʻahu. Mahalo again to Elson and Calin, both of whom provided excellent customer service and attention to my request!

Ample parking. It is right next to where Toys R Us used to be, and to get to the parking you will need to turn in at the light by Big City Diner. The new store is a definite upgrade to the old location! It was a little confusing for me to find as you can't see Elson's from the parking lot. You will have to walk out through a pathway to get to Pali Momi Street and walk to where the store faces the street. You will need to get buzzed in for security reasons. They have a small jewelry selection available that is ready to purchase, but it seems they do a lot of custom work. I primarily come here for repairs! I've replaced missing pave diamonds and just had a repair done today for a bracelet I had where a pear shaped diamond fell out. I unfortunately did not have the diamond, but they had a similar natural diamond on hand and were able to repair it in about 20 minutes! Repair cost was about $100 less than I was quoted to mail it back to the jewelry company that I purchased it from in the mainland. Saved money and got it back right away. I will always come here for jewelry repair needs!
