Extraordinary work from JG & Sons Remodeling!!! I called and the boss Francisco answered around 4pm. I explained my project and he told me he would make time to arrive for a same-day quote at 6pm. Already off to a good start. I had been getting other quotes from other contractors around that time, and things were either taking too long, costing too much, or something just didnt seem right. With Francisco, he was incredibly personable, patient, understanding, timely, i could go on. For the first phase, during demo, he made sure to have several high powered vacuums, took care of any existing items to where there was no apparent damage. He is very efficient but wont rush a job and if something needs clarification he was patient enough to confirm our selections before proceeding. Some examples of this include schluter choice, baseboard profiling in certain areas, fireplace design, and more. We met him in march and he pretty much completed the kitchen, fireplace, hallway bathroom, floors, and other small projects in a matter of one month. He should be very proud of his work and we are hoping to work with him in the future. Pricing: very fair. I wont give details but i had 4 quotes in total. His pricing was the absolute best hands down. One quote i got had charged me 3x what Francisco did. To confirm, I entered all the project information into chatGPT and the number it predicted was very close to what several other contractors had quoted me. The AI verdict for JG & Sons pricing was a "Good Deal." Work: The main team members are Francisco and his son. How great is it to have a hands-on contractor? Once in a while there will be a variable 3rd-4th member depending on amount of work that day (demo, floors) They show up every day consistently at the same time. Safety is clearly important to them as i would often see them with eye protection, masks, knee pads, etc. Communication was excellent. Design: my wife had a particular design in mind for each project, whether it was the tile trim surrounding a smaller design that stood out in the kitchen backsplash, or the mantle with all the small brick tiles, all with much inspiration from online sources. Francisco made my wife feel heard with her design, offered some insight on realistic approaches and took these design projects on; which were done better than we had imagined. But our experience went beyond the kitchen. JG & Sons provided assistance with plumbing, painting, electrical and structural challenges we faced in our remodel - beyond the kitchen. Javier, and his son Marco, helped deal with two major plumbing issues (converting to tankless hot water system and a collapsing sewer line). Most members (NOT all) of their team are courteous and hard-working individuals. But 1) This company took too long to complete repairs in my living room. 2) Once repairs were supposedly done, and I had moved all my furniture back to the living room, I noticed defects on the job completed. All furniture had to be removed from my living room again. So, they could return to my home and re-do everything as they did not do the job correctly the first time, to begin with! The whole ordeal caused me and my family a lot of stress and inconvenience. I was very disappointed. read more

Don't not use this company! They came for an inspection, said they can do the work and will provide a quote but never did. Simple door/window replacement, when I followed up, they said they would have a quote shortly and we never heard from them again. If a job is too complex, you should communicate that you can't do it instead of ghosting people afterwards. read more
